Design thinking and UX principles in app development: conception and prototyping of a mobile shopping list app

Abstract

Diese Arbeit untersucht, wie der Design Thinking-Prozess und UX-Prinzipien kombiniert werden können, um die Entwicklung einer nutzerzentrierten Einkaufslisten-App zu unterstützen. Der iterative Ansatz des Design Thinking ermöglicht es, Nutzerbedürfnisse in den Mittelpunkt zu stellen, während UX-Prinzipien wie der Aesthetic-Usability Effect und Hick’s Law die Benutzerfreundlichkeit und Effizienz der Anwendung fördern. Im Rahmen der Arbeit wurde ein Prototyp entwickelt, der durch die Anwendung dieser Methoden sowohl funktionale als auch ästhetische Anforderungen erfüllt. Die theoretische Evaluierung der User Experience zeigte, dass die Verbindung dieser Ansätze einen entscheidenden Beitrag zur Gestaltung einer intuitiven und innovativen mobilen Applikation leisten kann. Die Ergebnisse unterstreichen die Bedeutung eines strukturierten und nutzerorientierten Entwicklungsprozesses für den Erfolg moderner Softwarelösungen.This paper explores how the design thinking process and UX principles can be combined to support the development of a user-centered shopping list app. The iterative approach of design thinking makes it possible to focus on user needs, while UX principles such as the Aesthetic-Usability Effect and Hick's Law promote the usability and efficiency of the application. As part of the work, a prototype was developed that fulfills both functional and aesthetic requirements by applying these methods. The theoretical evaluation of the user experience showed that the combination of these approaches can make a decisive contribution to the design of an intuitive and innovative mobile application. The results underline the importance of a structured and user-oriented development process for the success of modern software solutions
