Abstract

The text is an unpublished translation into Spanish of a central pamphlet in the theological speculation of Saint Thomas Aquinas, which includes 135 pages of an original preliminary study on the reasons why this text might have been interpreted as foreign to the work of the Angelic Doctor. It also presents an original way to incorporate passages from the Summa contra Gentiles that were not included by previous commentators, such as Patfoord, who is perhaps one of the most recognized in this topic. The main novelty offered by the commentator and translator is to demonstrate the existing unity between the assertions made in the pamphlet and the complete theological work of Aquinas.O texto é uma tradução inédita para o espanhol de um opúsculo central na especulação teológica de Santo Tomás de Aquino, que inclui 135 páginas de um estudo preliminar original sobre as razões pelas quais este texto poderia ter sido interpretado como alheio à obra do Doutor Angélico. Também apresenta uma forma original de incluir trechos da Suma contra os Gentios que não foram incorporados por comentaristas anteriores, como Patfoord, que é talvez um dos mais reconhecidos neste tópico. A maior novidade oferecida pelo comentador e tradutor é mostrar a unidade existente entre as afirmações estabelecidas no opúsculo e a obra teológica completa do Aquinate.       &nbsp
