The Relationship Between Ethics and Literature in Light of Levinas’s Work

In my paper I intend to uncover the relationship between ethics and literature. The aforementioned issue is connected to ’ethical turn’ — new orientation in literary studies, which was introduced in the nineties of 20th century. In order to uncover its source of inspiration, I refer to Lévinas’s works, such as Reality and its Shadow, The poet’s vision, Totality and Infinity, Otherwise than Being. I advocate the view that not only Lévinas’s concept of language, but also his account of poetry and responsibility underlie ethical criticism. Therefore, they are regarded as crucial to understand this new approach to literary studies. To illustrate my thesis, I attempt to interpret literary works, i.e. Wordsworth’s and Coetzee’s in light of Lévinas’s concepts.Numer został przygotowany przy wsparciu Ministerstwa Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego

Analisis Ragam Genetik, Heritabilitas, dan Sidik Lintas Karakter Agronomik Jagung Hibrida Silang Tunggal

The success of selection in plant breeding program is determined by genetic variabiliities, heritability values and the correlation between agronomic characters and yield. The study aims to determine the genetic variability, heritability and the effec of agronomic characters to grain yield. The experiment was conducted in February to May 2016 in Grobogan, Central Java. The experiment consists of twelve genotypes of maize hybrids, arranged in a randomized block design with three replications. The characters observed were plant height, ear height, number of harvested ear, shelling percentage, moisture content of grain harvested, weight of 100 grains, ear length, ear diameter, number of rows per ear, number of seeds per row per ear, and grain yields. The results showed that the genetic variability of agronomic characters was broad, except ear diameter. Almost all of the heritability values of yield components were high, except harvested ear weight and ear diameter. The characters of plant height, ear height and as the genotypic gave high of a direct effect on the yield higher, while direct effect of the phenotypic character of ear hairves on grain yield are higher

Penggunaan Pendekatan Peta Konsep Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas XII Ipa1 Sman 7 Palu Pada Pembelajaran Hereditas

This research is generally aimed at improving student learning outcomes in the subjects of biology. Subjects were class XII IPA 1 SMAN 7 Palu. This type of research is classroom action research, using a concept map approach. Data collection techniques used is the final evaluation of each cycle, activity sheet teacher, student activity sheets and interviews. The research activities starting from the initial test cycle, the second cycle, the evaluation of each end of the cycle and interviews with students. Preliminary tests found the data showing lack of understanding of heredity. This is evidenced by the success of the classical presentation of 33,33%. After the first cycle that starts with the planning, implementation, observation and reflection shows increased success of the classical presentation of 58.33%, although it has not reached the terms of the indicators of success. Results reflect recommend to proceed in the next cycle. Furthermore, the second cycle that starts with the planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Results of the implementation of the second cycle showed a significant increase was found in the sixth meeting with a presentation of classical success of 87.50% and have reached the requisite indicators of success, although it has not reached 100%. Similarly, the teacher activity sheet showed a decrease in the dominance of the teacher and the student activity sheets show an increase understanding of the concept of heredity

The present crisis of foundations in Fundamental Science is manifested as a comprehensive conceptual crisis, crisis of understanding, crisis of interpretation and representation, crisis of methodology, loss of certainty. Fundamental Science "rested" on the understanding of matter, space, nature of the "laws of nature", fundamental constants, number, time, information, consciousness. The question "What is fundametal?" pushes the mind to other questions → Is Fundamental Science fundamental? → What is the most fundamental in the Universum?.. Physics, do not be afraid of Metaphysics! Levels of fundamentality. The problem №1 of Fundamental Science is the ontological justification (basification) of mathematics. To understand is to "grasp" Structure ("La Structure mère"). Key ontological ideas for emerging from the crisis of understanding: total unification of matter across all levels of the Universum, one ontological superaxiom, one ontological superprinciple. The ontological construction method of the knowledge basis (framework, carcass, foundation). The triune (absolute, ontological) space of eternal generation of new structures and meanings. Super concept of the scientific world picture of the Information era - Ontological (structural, cosmic) memory as "soul of matter", measure of the Universum being as the holistic generating process. The result of the ontological construction of the knowledge basis: primordial (absolute) generating structure is the most fundamental in the Universum
