Situational analysis of the living and health conditions of quilombola communities from the perspective of the WHOQOL-BREF Lagarto-SE inventory

Abstract

This is a cross-sectional, descriptive study with a mixed-methods approach, collecting data on quality of life, health and well-being. Data was collected using a questionnaire called WHOQOL-BREF Abbreviated in one of the quilombola communities in the city of Lagarto SE, after being submitted to and approved by the human research ethics committee. The sample was by convenience, using the snowball method, considering the 42 families associated with the Mestre Primo Quilombola Association. Quantitative analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, highlighting absolute and relative frequencies. The results of the WHOQOL- BREF were analyzed using Microsoft Office Excel 2010 software and interpreted using the authors referenced in the study. When the instrument was compared with the reality and particularities of the community analyzed, it showed its ability to represent the population's quality of life with a high level of reliability. This provides a sample of the quality of life of this segment of the population.Trata-se de uma pesquisa transversal, descritiva, com abordagem do tipo mista, com levantamento de dados sobre qualidade de vida, saúde e bem-estar. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio da aplicação de questionário denominado WHOQOL- BREF Abreviado numa das comunidades quilombolas da cidade de Lagarto-SE, após a submissão e aprovação no comitê de ética em pesquisa com seres humanos. A amostra se deu por conveniência, por meio do método bola de neve, considerando as 42 famílias associadas a Associação Quilombola Mestre Primo. Sendo a análise quantitativa se deu por meio de estatística descritiva, destacando frequência absoluta e relativa. Os resultados da aplicação do WHOQOL- BREF foi analisados por meio do Software Microsoft Office Excel 2010 e interpretados a partir dos autores referenciados no estudo. O instrumento quando confrontado com a realidade e as particularidades da comunidade analisada, evidenciou sua capacidade de representar a qualidade de vida da população com um alto índice de confiabilidade.
