CHALLENGES WITH MANAGING AND INHERITING A FAMILY BUSINESS

Abstract

Obiteljsko poduzetništvo predstavlja značajan segment globalne ekonomije, obuhvaća razne sektore i doprinosi održivom razvoju. This paper addresses the concepts of entrepreneur and entrepreneurship, more specifically family entrepreneurship and the challenges that arise in such businesses. Besides theoretical considerations, the paper includes an analysis of real business examples used to better illustrate the challenges that can arise at any stage of business and provide guidelines for overcoming them. In conclusion, this paper demonstrates the complexity of entrepreneurship and family business and contributes to a better understanding of entrepreneurs.
