Text and Voice Integration with Wav2Vec and Specaugment for Improving Accuracy of Speech Emotion Recognition

    No full text
Emotions are crucial in understanding the human psychological state and can influence social interactions and decision-making. The integration between emotion processing and computational systems enables the creation of more natural and adaptive interfaces. This research focuses on Speech Emotion Recognition (SER), which aims to identify human emotions through voice signal analysis. Many previous studies have been limited to unimodal approaches, and just few have explored multimodal approaches that combine voice and text simultaneously. Furthermore, there is a lack of research that directly integrates Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) for text as well as voice feature extraction in one step and applies data augmentation to improve model generalization. This research contributes to the improvement of accuracy for emotion recognition tasks using the IEMOCAP dataset with total 5797 voices and text that contain angry, sad, happy, and neutral by incorporating the Wav2Vec model as a multimodal feature extractor (voice and text), and by applying SpecAugment to enrich the data variety. Structurally, our proposed architecture consists of two branches: a voice branch and a text branch. Features extracted from Wav2Vec are sent to the voice branch using an ECAPA-TDNN model, and to the text branch using a BERT model. These two branches are then combined using fully connected layers for final classification. Experiments show that this multimodal approach can achieve high performance, namely weighted accuracy of 90.28% and unweighted accuracy of 90.62%, with requiring special fine-tuning of the text model. These results indicate that the integration of multimodal with pretrained and data augmentation approaches can significantly improve the performance of SER system

The Portrayal of Yoo Ah-rin as Mother-like Figure in Webtoon Cewekku Galak

    No full text
What happens when a character exemplifies the essence of nurturing, protection, and unconditional love? In the webtoon Cewekku Galak, Yoo Ah-rin emerges as a mother-like figure whose defining traits such as nurturing, protecting, and unconditionally loving profoundly shape the lives of people around her. This study will be using Carl Jungs mother archetype theory, John Bowlbys attachment theory, and Melanie Kleins object relations theory to explore how these qualities foster emotional security, stability, safety, trust, and a sense of acceptance in other characters. At the same time, it reveals the unintended consequences of her care, such as emotional dependency and obsession. By analyzing the dual impact of her role, this research highlights the complexity of maternal figures in fiction and the enduring significance of unconditional love in storytelling

Pengembangan Quality Function Deployment dengan Model Optimasi Multi-Kriteria

    No full text

From sign to design: The role of domain transfer in redefining architecture locality

    No full text
This research examines the design process using conceptual frameworks based on domain transfer to suggest a new model for architecture based on local contexts. Plowrights conceptual framework is a way of developing new ideas, in which architecture may or may not be subverted with concepts that are significant; meanings may also be redefined with ‘big ideas’ (concepts), analogy, metaphor or significant questions from inside and outside the realms of architecture. This research utilizes case study method through design and reflects on the design process within the context of the West Java Cultural Center design competition. This analysis deconstructed and explained the design process using the conceptual framework, identifying unique representations of crosscultural and West Java culture as the basis for an architectural program. The case was used to understand the transformational architectural syntax occurring from local signs and symbols as evidence of innovation. The results of the case study fell within three areas: concepts as a way to achieve a place of innovation (hypothesis), transferring ideas based on locality into elements and syntax (transfer), and bringing them all together into a coherent design (coherence). Domain transfer was redefined in this case study as the translation of symbolic values and cultural attributes from non-architecture into architectural form and elements in pursuit of contextual design innovation

Market liquidity of agriculture sector in Indonesia and Malaysia during COVID-19 Delta

    No full text
This study aims to assess the influence of the COVID-19 Delta outbreak on stock market liquidity within the agricultural sectors of Indonesia and Malaysia. This study assesses the impact of the COVID-19 Delta variant by examining COVID-19 cases, mortalities, recoveries, vaccinations, and stringency datasets. The study comprised a sample of 57 agricultural firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and Bursa Malaysia. Daily data was collected from January to December 2021, generating 8358 observations. The study utilises the panel regression weighted least square (WLS) analysis approach. This study reveals that COVID-19 Delta has adversely affected market liquidity in the agricultural sectors of Indonesia and Malaysia. The study reveals that rising daily cases, deaths, and recoveries have a negative effect on market liquidity, whereas vaccination and stringency do not demonstrate any association. Even increasing the recovery rate does not restore market liquidity due to the Delta variants negative impact

Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance in the Indonesian Consumer Goods Industry Through Market Share and Idiosyncratic Risk

    Get PDF
This paper explains the correlation between corporate social responsibility (CSR), market share, idiosyncratic risk, and corporate financial performance (CFP). The role of market share (MS) and idiosyncratic risk (IR), which cause an indirect effect, are also examined. Fifty-seven Indonesian-listed consumer goods companies were studied using partial least squares analysis. The findings suggest that CSR could act as a mitigating risk tool and improve the markets competitiveness. Investing in CSR eventually leads to a long-term increase in financial performance. This paper makes a valuable contribution, offering new and fresh insights into the long debates regarding the CSR-CFP relationship, which has been previously found to be inconsistent from prior studies, through the role of MS and IR as mediating variables that link CSR and CFP. CSR has been proven to build stakeholders trust and thus increase MS and lower IR
