Pendampingan UMKM dalam Strategi Harga melalui Analisis Supplier dan Kompetitor
Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan sebagai bentuk pendampingan bagi salah satu Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Surabaya yang bergerak di bidang penjualan perabotan rumah tangga berbahan plastik dan melamin. Permasalahan utama mitra adalah belum adanya analisis yang sistematis terhadap pemasok (supplier) dan pesaing (kompetitor), sehingga strategi penetapan harga dan pengendalian biaya belum berbasis data keuangan yang akurat. Hal ini menyebabkan mitra kesulitan menentukan harga jual yang kompetitif dan menjaga stabilitas arus kas usaha. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah membantu mitra dalam
melakukan analisis supplier dan kompetitor guna menekan biaya pembelian, menentukan harga yang kompetitif, serta meningkatkan profitabilitas usaha berbasis data keuangan. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan design thinking melalui lima tahapan, yaitu understand, observe, define, ideate, dan prototype,
dengan aktivitas utama berupa wawancara, observasi lapangan, serta pengumpulan data transaksi daring dari platform e-commerce. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan sistem pencatatan keuangan sederhana dan analisis eksternal berbasis data membantu mitra memahami struktur biaya, mengidentifikasi supplier paling efisien, serta menyesuaikan strategi harga dengan posisi kompetitor di pasar digital. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan mitra dalam mengambil keputusan bisnis berbasis data, mengefisienkan rantai pasok, serta memperkuat daya saing usaha di tengah persaingan digital yang semakin ketat
INTEGRATION, RELATION, AND RECREATION: RETHINKING ARCHITECTURAL PROGRAMMING
This study rethinks architectural programming as an innovative process, emphasizing the integration of contextual elements, the relational blending of multiple functions, and the adaptive reuse of existing spaces as recreation over time. Moving beyond the traditional understanding of programming as problem-finding-solving, this research redefines it as a dynamic framework bridging theoretical insights and practical design applications. Through a qualitative case study methodology, the paper examines three landmark projects with similar functions by Bjarke Ingels Group—8 House, The Mountain, and Urban Rigger—to explore the transformative potential of programming. The analysis positions programming as an integrative tool that aligns spatial, functional, and contextual dynamics to address both immediate and future architectural challenges. Program mixing with relational functions is conceptualized as a strategic approach that harmonizes diverse functions within a single design, fostering innovative and hybrid solutions. Adaptive reuse, reframed as a multi-time design response, focuses on revitalizing existing structures to meet evolving societal and environmental needs. These case studies illustrate how programming establishes a dynamic framework that enables architects to creatively reimagine constraints as opportunities. By emphasizing the principles of design analysis—realization, organization, and integration—this research contributes to the discourse on programming as a catalyst for architectural innovation and transformation. It proposes a shift in practice that highlights programming as a generative and responsive framework, inspiring a rethinking of architectural methodologies in the face of contemporary challenges
GOOGLE EARTH INTEGRATION IN LEARNING: A NARRATIVE REVIEW
Technology integration in education is increasingly developing, including the use of Google Earth as an interactive learning medium. However, its utilization in Indonesia is still limited due to the lack of teacher training and access to technology. This research is intended to analyze the trend of Google Earth usage in learning through narrative review method. The study reviewed related literature to identify the fields of study that use it the most, the research methods applied, and the benefits and challenges found. The results show that Google Earth improves learning motivation, student engagement and spatial understanding. However, research is still dominated by short-term experimental methods, so longitudinal studies are needed to measure its impact in the long term. The implications of this research highlight the need for teacher training, supporting policy development, and further exploration in STEM and vocational education
PENGARUH VISUAL MERCHANDISING KKV GALAXY MALL SURABAYA TERHADAP REPURCHASE INTENTION DENGAN SHOPPING LIFESTYLE SEBAGAI VARIABEL MODERASI DAN IMPULSIVE BUYING SEBAGAI VARIABEL MEDIASI
This research aims to analyze the influence of Visual Merchandising at KKV Galaxy Mall Surabaya on Repurchase Intention, with Shopping Lifestyle as a moderating variable and Impulsive Buying as a mediating variable. Data collection for this research was conducted through direct surveys at KKV Galaxy Mall and online via Line, Whatsapp, and Instagram. A total of 124 respondents were successfully obtained and their data processed. The data analysis technique used was Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this final research project indicate that Visual Merchandising does not have a significant effect on Repurchase Intention, Visual Merchandising has an effect on Impulsive Buying, Impulsive Buying has an effect on Repurchase Intention, Impulsive Buying significantly mediates the relationship between Visual Merchandising and Repurchase Intention, and Shopping Lifestyle does not moderate the relationship between Visual Merchandising and Repurchase Intention of KKV Galaxy Mall Surabaya customers
Artificial Intelligence Tools for Research Writing: Practical Tips for Teachers
Writing research papers is a challenging task for many students, particularly when it comes to organizing ideas, finding appropriate references, and adhering to academic styles. This responsibility places significant demands on teachers to guide students through the complexities of academic writing. This paper explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools into the research writing process as a solution to these challenges. It examines various AI applications that support content generation, literature review, data analysis, editing, and citation management. While these tools offer substantial benefits in enhancing students writing skills, the paper emphasizes the critical role of teachers in ensuring responsible use of AI. Practical instructional strategies are provided for teachers to effectively incorporate AI tools at different stages of writing, such as brainstorming, drafting, refining clarity and style, managing references, ensuring originality, and analyzing data. The conclusion highlights that although AI tools are valuable assets in research writing, teachers remain essential in guiding students to use these technologies critically and effectively
Minimalist House RumaRB: from Aesthetic to Reduction for Effiency
This paper aims to reflect on the concept of minimalism as a sustainable design strategy, extending beyond the familiar visual aesthetics. This understanding responds to trends in house design in Indonesia, where minimalism is often perceived merely as visual simplification. However, based on studies conducted, the discussion on minimalism in modern architecture lies in the effort to simplify spatial design and elements to achieve potential sustainability efficiency. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, highlighting the design of a simple residential house (RumaRB) with a reduction-based renovation approach. The connection between reduction and minimalism is evident in various aspects of architectural design, including capacity reduction, material use, and design identity. The research question seeks to explore the relationship between minimalist design thinking based on reduction as part of efficiency efforts for sustainability. The findings of this study propose the concept of reduction as a thought process and strategy, encompassing spatial, environmental, and material efficiency through the reduction of form, function, and appearance for sustainability. The ultimate goal of this study is to broaden the understanding of minimalism not merely as an aesthetic strategy, but as a holistic approach linking efficiency and sustainability in architecture
Analisis Alih Peran Tokoh Punakawan dalam Cerita Pewayangan dengan Pendekatan Teori Dramaturgi Erving Goffman
Punakawan have a very long history, since the 12th century. Until now, Punakawan, who appear with distinctive physical facial characteristics, can appear as characters with various roles according to their era. Punakawan are characters created by Indonesian artists who can capture the hearts of the audience of performing arts in Indonesia, ranging from shadow puppet shows, wayang orang, to performances through television screens. The diversity of arts and culture in Indonesia makes the form and visual appearance of Punakawan in each research area different, such as in East Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and Cirebon. Each region has its uniqueness, both in visual appearance and meaning. This study analyzes the role transfer of Punakawan figures in puppet stories using Erving Goffmans dramaturgy theory approach. Punakawan characters, consisting of Semar, Gareng, Petruk, and Bagong, have unique roles as companions of knights as well as conveyors of social criticism. The research method used is qualitative analysis with a descriptive approach to various puppet plays that illustrate the flexibility of the Punakawan role. The results show that Punakawan not only functions as a complement in the wayang narrative but also as a link between the world of mythology and social reality. By utilizing humor and wisdom, Punakawan can switch roles to suit the situation, reflecting the concept of self-presentation in Goffmans theory. The findings confirm that Punakawan is a dynamic symbol of social communication that is relevant in various cultural contexts
