Investigating EFL Students' Self-Efficacy in Teaching Practicum
This research is designed to explore students' self-efficacy level during teaching practicum as well as the factors that affect the ratings. The researchers implemented mix method by combining quantitative and qualitative to address the inquiry. The participants consisted 33 EFL students from one of private universities in west Kalimantan. The results demonstrate that EFL students' self-efficacy level during teaching practicum is in the moderately high to very high category. It is indicated by the results of the questionnaire, which shows that the strength dimension has the highest score of 3.60 (very high), the generality dimension with a score of 3.40 (slightly high), and the magnitude dimension with a score of 3.0 (slightly high). Additionally, the elements influencing students' self-efficacy include mastery experience, vicarious experience, verbal persuasion, and psychological arousal
PEMBERDAYAAN PEREMPUAN MELALUI HOME INDUSTRY DAPOER KUE DAN CATERING REI’S DI RW 03 KELURAHAN BAROS KECAMATAN CIMAHI TENGAH KOTA CIMAHI
Considering that poverty is a very complex problem that has an impact on the increasing needs of the community for clothing, food, and shelter which is also accompanied by an increase in population, various poverty alleviation efforts cover various aspects of community life, so they need to be implemented in an integrated manner. One way to improve the economy is to develop local businesses to improve welfare and reduce unemployment in local life. Home industry is one of the businesses carried out at home, home industry businesses can absorb unemployment and empower the surrounding community. The purpose of this study is to describe women's empowerment through the Dapoer Kue and Catering Rei's home industry. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method used to find out or describe reality. Data collection used observation, documentation and interview methods. The results of the study conducted at the Dapoer Kue and Catering Rei's home industry RW 03, Baros Village, Cimahi Tengah District, Cimahi City showed that women's empowerment can improve knowledge, skills, insight, and of course increase income. The implementation stage of women's empowerment activities is related to the formulation of empowerment objectives, namely improving skills and improving the economy. Women empowerment carried out by home industry owners so that housewives can be empowered, and what the housewives feel is the same and there are other additions such as being able to gain knowledge, skills, being able to develop abilities and increase insight. Not only that, they also get income to help with daily needs. And the housewives are very enthusiastic because they also want themselves to develop
UPAYA KARANG TARUNA DALAM MELESTARIKAN BUDAYA LOKAL MELALUI PELATIHAN GAMELAN SUNDA
Konteks masalah penelitian ini yaitu perhatian masyarakat akan kebudayaan lokal khususnya seni gamelan sunda masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah bagaimana upaya pengelola dalam melestarikan budaya lokal melalui pelatihan seni gamelan sunda di Karang Taruna Bhakti Persada. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, dan teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara dan observasi serta studi dokumentasi. Yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah satu orang pengelola, satu orang tutor/pelatih, dan lima orang peserta pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat khususnya remaja mempunyai minat dalam mengikuti pelatihan seni gamelan sunda. Pengelola Karang Taruna Bhakti Persada berupaya untuk melestarikan budaya lokal dengan cara menyelenggarakan kegiatan pelatihan seni gamelan sunda. Peserta pelatihan seni gamelan sunda mampu untuk bekerjasama dan mendapatkan penghasilan tambahan sebagai reward bagi peserta mahir yang diikutsertakan dalam acara manggung/pentas seni
PERAN KADER POSYANDU MELALUI PEMBINAAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEBIASAAN HIDUP SEHAT DI SESPIM LEMDIKLAT POLRI KECAMATAN LEMBANG KABUPATEN BANDUNG BARAT
Kegiatan remaja Posyandu masih kurang dimanfaatkan dan tidak efektif karena kurangnya pengetahuan dan informasi, serta kurangnya kapasitas kader utama dalam pengukuran antropometri dan penentuan status gizi. Salah satu pilihan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat atau program KKN adalah dengan diberikan petunjuk melakukan pengukuran antropometri (BB, TB, LP), mengukur LILA, menentukan BMI, dan menilai kesehatan gizi remaja. 5 kader remaja posyandu melambangkan kegiatan dan pelatihan kader. Daftar periksa kemampuan dan kuesioner pengetahuan tes pra-pasca digunakan dalam temuan dan evaluasi. Pelatihan tersebut meningkatkan pemahaman kemampuan evaluasi antropometri dan mengidentifikasi kondisi gizi remaja. Sebelum pelatihan, tiga kader berkompeten dan berpengetahuan (60%), dua kader berpengetahuan kurang (40%), dan sisanya tidak terampil. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan kader, seluruh kader mempunyai keterampilan dan pengetahuan yang sangat baik (100%)
Improving English Vocabulary Mastery Through The Memrise Application for Twelve Grade Students MA Al Djufri: A Classroom Action Research
The aims of this research is to find out how students perceive and understand the memrise application as a tool to learn and improve the understanding of English vocabulary. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is the method of this research. The subjects in this research are twelve grade students with a total of 30 students at MA Al Djufri Pamekasan. The time of this research is from the month of October to November 2024. In this research, the author used observation sheet and test instruments. The results of this research in cycle 1 were 64.4 while the results of this research in cycle 2 were 93. Results In cycle 1, these results were supported by the results of observation of teacher activities by achieving an average of 87% and student observation results of 74.8%, while the results in cycle 2 were supported by the results of observation of teacher activities by achieving an average of 94% of enthusiasm and 89.6% of student implementation observations. Students' vocabulary knowledge and learning engagement can be enhanced by utilizing the memrise application.
Students’Learning Strategies in Developing Speaking Skills
One of the languages used for communication is English. Speaking fluently in English is one of the most important components. Learning to speak was another essential component of learning a new language. Students needed to choose the most effective learning strategy to help them got more knowledge and to develop their speaking skills. Therefore, this research was carried out to know the strategies of learning that were used to develop speaking skills by English Language Education students at Muhammadiyah university of Prof. Dr. Hamka. To collect the data, the writer used questionnaire as quantitative data. The results showed that there were six learning strategies used by students namely metacognitive strategies, compensatory strategies, cognitive strategies, affective strategies, memory strategies, and social strategies. Related to this, the most frequent strategies implemented by the students were metacognitive strateegies (80%), compensatory strategies (79.38%), and the cognitive strategies (78%)
Teaching Speaking Strategy Used by Lecturer at Public Speaking Class in IAIN Palangka Raya
A teaching strategy uses methods to achieve specific goals. To improve students' speaking skills, new strategies like discussion and debate are needed. The goal of the study was to determine how the lecturer used these strategies, what challenges the students and the lecturer encountered, and how the strategies used to teach public speaking at IAIN Palangka Raya affected the students. The study design employed by the researcher was a case study and the qualitative method. Three instruments were utilized observation, interview, and documentation for collecting the data. The subject was a lecturer and the students 4th semester of English education in public speaking at IAIN Palangka Raya. The researcher obtained the lecturer used discussion and debate. Those strategies were used alternately in each meeting in public speaking class. Before meeting, the students had got the topic from the lecturer and the students should prepare their ideas to show in front of their friends and lecturers. Three problems that the researcher found, there were linguistic factors, psychological factors, and external factors. The students also had improvement in several things such as speaking elements, motivation, and self-confidence
Peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam menumbuhkan literasi lingkungan untuk mewujudkan kesadaran konservasi sumber daya air di wilayah kawasan hutan Desa Cihaur
Environmental problems, especially in the Cihaur village forest area, are increasingly complex due to deforestation, pollution and unsustainable use. Forest areas have an important role in maintaining the hydrological cycle and water quality, so that damage to these areas can have a direct impact on the availability and quality of water resources. For this reason, community awareness is needed in active participation to be involved in conservation activities as part of community environmental literacy. The aim of this activity is to strengthen knowledge, awareness, participation and also form partnerships in sensitivity to environmental damage. The method of this activity is through problem analysis, determining the target of the activity, preparing activity materials, determining the time of the activity and carrying out FGD activities to increase community capacity in environmental literacy, especially in water resource conservation activities in forming Water Conservation Concern (KKA). As a result of this activity, the community has awareness which is shown in active participation in a series of KKA activities and the community can analyze environmental problems early and carry out ongoing involvement. The conclusion from this activity is that the Cihaur Village Forest Management Area has the potential to be used as a Water Absorption area if the community cares about preserving this potential based on the existing potential and the need for conservation efforts implemented by the community so that it becomes a sustainable water resource area. Community empowerment is an important factor in mobilizing existing potential in order to improve the quality of resources and maintain the sustainability of their function. The need for collaboration with partners to establish sustainable cooperation while maintaining and growing public awareness as well as community involvement in conservative actions as part of community literacy skill
PROFIL KEPERCAYAAN DIRI SISWA TINGKAT VIII SMP NEGERI 3 CIMAHI
This study aims to determine the profile of self-confidence of students in level VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Cimahi. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of a self-confidence questionnaire given to 74 students from two classes, namely classes VIII-F and VIII-A. The results showed that the profile of self-confidence in level VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Cimahi based on aspects of confidence in their abilities, most students were in the high category, as many as 39 students with a percentage of 53%. Meanwhile, of the five aspects that are most in the very low category, namely in the rational and realistic aspects, there are 13 students with a percentage of 18%. based on the results of the graph, it shows that female students are more in the very low category, totaling 7 while male students are 4 in the very low category. In addition, the difference between classes based on the results of the graph shows that class VIII-A with a percentage of 50.7% and class VIII-F 49.3%. Looking at these results confirms that there is a need for customized strategies to increase student confidence, according to the unique conditions of each class
Pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik guru di era digital melalui pemanfaatan aplikasi SAGURU (sistem administrasi guru)
Permasalahan yang terjadi di beberapa lembaga yang dinaungi oleh NS-IN TK Jawa Barat khususnya di kota Bekasi saat ini adalah rendahnya kompetensi pedagogik yang dimiliki oleh para guru PAUD dan minimnya pemanfaatan Teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Permasalahan terjadi diakibatkan oleh sulitnya guru dalam mempersiapkan administrasi pembelajaran, dikarenakan memerlukan waktu yang lama, serta belum terdapat aplikasi yang mempermudah guru membuat administrasi pembelajaran, dengan hasil evaluasi awal menunjukan bahwa diperlukan aplikasi untuk memudahkan guru dalam membuat administrasi pembelajaran. Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian yaitu meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru dan memudahkan guru untuk membuat administrasi pembelajaran dengan cepat tanpa memerlukan waktu lama, dengan hanya menginstal aplikasi SAGURU. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini yaitu metode Pelatihan, dengan mitra sasaran yaitu guru dari 10 lembaga TK yang ada di kota Bekasi yang dinaungi oleh NS-IN TK Jawa Barat. Hasil pelaksanaan pelatihan menunjukan bahwa 80% aplikasi SAGURU diimplementasikan dengan baik dan konsisten, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan implementasi aplikasi SAGURU mampu meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru, guru disiplin beradminitrasi, dan administrasi pembelajaran lebih terstruktur
