Integrating Virtual Reality Into English Language Instruction: Assessing Efficacy And Student Motivation
This study investigates the effectiveness of incorporating Virtual Reality Videos into the English language learning model at Universitas Teknologi Digital Indonesia. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the researcher implemented two distinct learning methods across separate class groups. One group utilized the Virtual Reality learning model, while the other adhered to traditional instructional methods. The assessment of the learning model's efficacy employed statistical tests and questionnaire analyses administered to participants post-learning sessions, coupled with classroom observations. Results from the research revealed that students utilizing Virtual Reality videos achieved higher scores compared to those using conventional videos. While questionnaire responses indicated relatively comparable outcomes, Virtual Reality videos demonstrated a marginal advantage concerning student learning experiences and motivation. This study contributes valuable insights into the pedagogical benefits of integrating VR technology, emphasizing its positive impact on language acquisition within the higher education contex
Persepsi Dalam Komunikasi Interpersonal
This study aims to describe perception in interpersonal communication using a qualitative approach. The data sources used in this study are literature study sources that include references from journals, books and other articles. Perception in interpersonal communication is a complex process that involves how individuals understand, interpret, and give meaning to information received from their social environment. Perception plays an important role in shaping how a person interacts, responds, and builds relationships with others. In the context of interpersonal communication, perception is influenced by various factors, such as personal experience, cultural values, emotions, and stereotypes, all of which can affect the interpretation of messages. The perception process involves the stages of selecting, organizing, and interpreting information, which can result in misperceptions if not accompanied by deep understanding or clear communication. Thus, a proper understanding of perception can help improve the effectiveness of interpersonal communication, encourage empathy, and minimize the potential for conflict in social interactions

The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine the application of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) Learning model with animation media can increase learning motivation in class XI SMK PAB 1 Helvetia. 2) To determine how to apply the Project Based Learning (PJBL) Learning model with animation media can increase student learning motivation in class XI SMK PAB 1 Helvetia. 3) To determine learning motivation in class XI SMK PAB 1 Helvetia Medan when the Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning model with animation media is applied. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation of actions, observation, reflection. The subjects of this study were 32 students of class XI Mechanical Engineering-2. Data collection used in this study was qualitative and quantitative data. The results obtained from this study include the learning motivation of class XI Mechanical Engineering students of SMK Swasta PAB 1 Medan Helvetia when the project based learning model is applied. The study was conducted in three cycles, with 32 students as subjects. Data were collected qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed an increase in learning motivation: the average value increased from 74.6 (cycle I) to 84 (cycle II), and 90.32 (cycle III). The percentage of students with high motivation increased from 12.5% (cycle I) to 81.25% (cycle III). Because it had reached a success indicator of ≥75%, the implementation of PJBL was stopped, showing its effectiveness in increasing student learning motivation
Kontribusi Motivasi dan Intelligence Quotient (IQ) terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi Peserta Didik Kelas XI SMAN 6 Padang
This study aims to determine the contribution of learning motivation and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) to the Biology learning outcomes of 11th-grade students at SMAN 6 Padang. Learning motivation is an internal factor that plays a crucial role in enhancing learning effectiveness, while IQ reflects students' cognitive capacity in understanding subject matter. This research employs a descriptive correlational method with a quantitative ex-post-facto approach. The population consists of all 11th-grade science students at SMAN 6 Padang, with samples selected using the proportionate random sampling technique, comprising 25% of students from each class. Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaires, IQ test documentation, and students' Biology learning outcomes. Data analysis was conducted using simple correlation statistical techniques to examine the relationship between the research variables. The findings of this study are expected to provide insights into the extent to which learning motivation and IQ contribute to Biology learning outcomes and serve as a reference for educators in designing more effective teaching strategies to enhance students' academic achievement. This study shows that learning motivation and IQ contribute to the Biology learning outcomes of 11th-grade students at SMAN 6 Padang, with a significant simultaneous relationship (sig. F Change = 0.000; R = 0.794, high correlation). Learning motivation has a greater impact than IQ (Pearson correlation = 0.777, high correlation) as it encourages perseverance, increases study duration, and optimizes concentration. In contrast, IQ has a very low correlation with learning outcomes (Pearson correlation = 0.098) due to other influential factors such as teaching methods and emotional intelligence. Thus, learning motivation plays a more dominant role in determining academic achievement, emphasizing the need for strategies that focus on enhancing students' motivation
