Acculturation of Aluk Todolo Culture and its Implications for Child Education in Muslim Rural Families
Aluk Todolo, customary teaching in the rural area of Bastem Utara, constitutes a legacy of a tradition different from Islamic teachings but with values that significantly contribute to children's education in Muslim families. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research location is in Dampan Village, North Bastem District, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The research subjects involved traditional leaders, Islamic religious leaders, and Muslim families who were selected randomly. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data analysis is done by organizing, interpreting and presenting the data narratively, followed by drawing conclusions. The validity of the data is maintained through the application of source triangulation. The research findings reveal that integrating Aluk Todolo cultural practices in educating Muslim families in Dampan Village fosters moral values and social harmony. Massipa' Namadarana (noble character) and Situtu Nene' (lineage) combine local traditions with religious teachings, strengthen family ties, and promote tolerance. The Rambu Tuka' ceremony (thanksgiving ceremony) displays the unity of culture and religion, enriching the education and life of Muslim families. These findings highlight the importance of integrating local cultural values and religious teachings in building a harmonious, tolerant, inclusive society. This provides insight for policymakers and educational practitioners to adopt educational approaches based on the richness of local culture while promoting universal values of tolerance and cooperation. This study highlights the importance of preserving religious traditions and rituals as an effective tool for promoting diversity and shared understanding in a pluralistic society

Ubiquitous Project-Based Learning Instructional Design in Islamic College
The right learning strategy provides benefits in mastery of learning, allowing students to collaborate and interact in implementing and creating learning projects. Through Ubiquitous Project Based Learning (UPjBL), Instructional Design fully contributes to achieving optimal learning objectives for students. This study aims to develop UPjBL Learning Design and determine the feasibility of the results. The development method for education uses the ADDIE development model stages. The data collection technique uses an instrument in the form of a validation assessment sheet and a closed question instrument in the form of a five-point Likert scale. The development procedure is done by analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The study found that the Ubiquitous Project Based Learning (UPjBL) learning design is valid and feasible. It is known that the product developed has a feasibility value of 4.5 which means that the product is included in the extraordinary category or is very possible to use in the learning process. The combination of Ubiquitous learning and Project-based learning has a UPjBL learning model based on the Constructivist approach. This approach emphasizes that the learning process is centred on students by constructing knowledge obtained contextually. The lecture program units and teaching materials for Information and Communication Technology with primary computer material are adjusted to the curriculum and characteristics of students
Moderation Islamic Spiritual Values in Social Entrepreneurship Learning Models
This research tests the dependent variable of business longevity among social micro-business actors, influenced by three independent variables: attitudinal values, self-efficacy, and cognitive dissonance, with the moderating variable of Islamic spiritual values. The goal is to develop a social entrepreneurship learning model for students based on local wisdom and values. The research model modifies the theory of planned behavior by enhancing the attitude concept and adding moderating variables, including Islamic spiritual values. Quantitative survey research employing purposive sampling was conducted with 200 adult Muslim social micro-business actors in the Klaten area. Structural Equation Model tests reveal direct influences of attitude values, self-efficacy, and cognitive dissonance on business longevity. The moderation test for Islamic spiritual values strengthens attitude and self-efficacy while weakening cognitive dissonance. Managerial implications suggest strategies to enhance the Islamic spiritual value ethos. Future sustainable activities include developing learning model textbooks for students based on local wisdom values to reinforce attitude values and self-efficacy and mitigate cognitive dissonance concerning business sustainability. The findings indicate a moderate level of religiosity in the Klaten Regency area, hindering the moderating role of Islamic spiritual values

Multifaceted Instructional Leadership of School Principals to Improve Student Character in The Digital Era
This research explores the multifaceted role of principals' instructional leadership in fostering student character development. This research was conducted at the Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah Boarding School in Masbagik, East Lombok, using a qualitative and case study approach. The researcher collects data through interviews, observation, and document analysis. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman data reduction model, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification distils the main dimensions of leadership and their influence on character education. The informants for this research were the school principal, teachers and school committee. These findings reveal eight distinct leadership roles: strategic visionary, educational innovator, adaptive problem solver, evaluator, community builder, cultural architect, responsive adapter, and long-term strategist. Each role makes a unique contribution to student character development. These roles collectively contribute to the character-centred ethos of education and are corroborated by current instructional leadership research. This study offers valuable insights and implications for improving character education through adaptive and nuanced leadership practices, making significant contributions to the broader discourse on instructional leadership and character development in education
Al-Irsyad Association and Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah in Islamic Education
As an organization that has been around for a long time, it cannot be denied that Al-Irsyad continues to experience changes in line with the social, economic and political dynamics that occur in Indonesia. The division peaked in 2007, then splitting the organization into the Al-Irsyad Association and Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah. This phenomenon is interesting, so the aim of this research is to look further at changes in the orientation of Al-Irsyad's Islamic education. This study uses qualitative ethnographic methods. Most of the data was obtained from observations and interviews in the field, which were then supported by secondary data from various sources. Data analysis using the Spradley model includes domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and model analysis. The results of the study show that the Al-Irsyad Association and Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah institutions in identifying themselves, each institution carries out different strategies as a manifestation of educational orientation based on the interpretation of Mabadi Al-Irsyad. Islamic educational institutions under the auspices of Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah gave rise to schools with a modern-exclusive style, and educational institutions under the aegis of the Al-Irsyad Association had a more puritanical-inclusive kind. The differences in values that are the guidelines or ideologies of each institution are formed over time and social, political, economic and cultural dynamics
Entrepreneurial Character Education from an Early Age
This study aims to understand forming students with an entrepreneurial character from an early age. For this reason, this research uses a qualitative type with a case study approach at the elementary school level, namely Islamic Primary School (SDI) Ibnu Rusyd North Lampung, Indonesia. Data were obtained from phenomena and activities at the research locus as primary data using in-depth observation techniques and structured interviews. The secondary data was obtained from institutional documents and some from literature sources such as books and articles with a close relationship with the entrepreneurial character. The analysis technique follows Miles & Huberman with the steps of gathering, presenting, condensing, and drawing conclusions. The results of the discussion explained that there are five entrepreneurial characteristics that SDI Ibnu Rusyd applies, namely independence, creativity, leadership, discipline, and the courage to take risks. Independent means the attitude students possess to overcome various problems by relying on their abilities. Creativity means that students can produce innovative new ideas. Leadership to influence and inspire others. Discipline means being able to act according to direction and responsibility. Dare to take risks is the nature of an entrepreneur. Feel free to try new things or take steps that have consequences. Applying entrepreneurial character right from an early age forms a strong foundation forming an essential basis for the success and innovation of future entrepreneurs
Legal Education for a Tobacco-Free Lifestyle in Muslim Communities
This study examines the implications of legal education in strengthening a tobacco-free lifestyle among the Muslim community. The research design is qualitative. The study took place in Bone-Bone Village, an exotic area in the Latimojong Mountains of Indonesia, which successfully implemented a tobacco-free lifestyle in all dimensions through legal education based on Islamic values. The study involved 135 participants who understood the research objectives and were willing to participate. Data was collected through interviews and focused group discussions. Data analysis was conducted using nVivo Basic 12.00 x32 for Windows. The Village Regulations 2009 is the foundation for the community's legal education process. The community's acceptance of the tobacco-free area rules through legal education is very good. Supporting factors include: 1) Actors, such as the village head (34.78%), traditional leaders (26.09%), religious leaders (21.74%), and educators (13.04%); 2) Culture, mutual respect being a legal education value derived from local community wisdom (42.86%), and village residents complying with the rules; 3) Tobacco-free lifestyle is supported by awareness of maintaining a healthy environment (24.71%) and considering the continuation of education for children in the village. Actors, culture, and community behaviour support legal compliance and awareness. Legal education has implications for a tobacco-free lifestyle, supported by actor factors playing roles as initiators, communicators, and drivers. The cultural factors of the community that uphold Islamic values and behavioural factors are manifestations of compliance with positive law, religious guidance, and a healthy lifestyle
Metacognitive Strategies to Improve Critical Thinking and Learner Autonomy in Writing Argumentative Texts in Islamic Boarding Schools
This study examines the effects of metacognitive strategies on critical thinking skills and learner autonomy in argumentative writing among students in Indonesian Islamic boarding schools (Mambaus Sholihin Gresik, Amanatul Ummah Mojokerto, Al-Amin Prenduan Madura, and Al-Rosyid Bojonegoro). This study uses mixed methods; the research integrated quantitative data from pre-tests and post-tests with qualitative insights from interviews, questionnaires, and observations to evaluate the strategies' effectiveness. Qualitative findings revealed that applying metacognitive strategies in a four-week argumentative writing module involving goal setting, monitoring, and reflection effectively improved students' critical thinking skills, independence, and writing abilities in Indonesian Islamic boarding schools. Quantitative results indicated that metacognitive strategies significantly enhanced students' abilities to construct coherent arguments and manage the writing process independently (F = 1.540, Sig. = 0.014). However, the overall impact on critical thinking skills and learner autonomy was not statistically significant. Theoretically, the findings confirm that metacognitive strategies enhance analytical and evaluation skills, emphasise the need for contextual adjustments, support the role of peer feedback in boosting metacognitive awareness, and underscore the value of integrating local values to enhance student motivation and independence. Future research should explore the long-term effects, involve more boarding schools, and consider contextual factors such as teacher roles and integration into the Islamic boarding school environment
