EFEK APLIKASI MIKORIZA DAN CHITOSAN DALAM UPAYA PENINGKATAN PRODUKSI CABAI RAWIT VARIETAS BARA
Low productivity of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is often caused by high disease incidence. The application of biological agents like mycorrhizae and chitosan offers a promising strategy for sustainable intensification. This study aimed to evaluate the synergistic effects of mycorrhizae and chitosan on the growth, yield, and disease resistance of cayenne pepper var. Bara. A field experiment was conducted from April to July 2023 in Batu, Indonesia, using a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The first factor was mycorrhizal dosage (M: 0, 5, and 10 g/plant ), and the second was chitosan concentration (C: 0, 4, 8, and 12 mL/L). Results showed a significant interaction (P 0.05) between mycorrhizae and chitosan on most vegetative and generative parameters. The treatment M2C3 (10 g/plant mycorrhizae + 12 mL/L chitosan) yielded the best performance, producing 8.03 t ha⁻¹, a 204% increase compared to the control (2.64 t ha⁻¹). This combination also significantly enhanced plant height, leaf count, and biomass. While no statistical interaction was found for disease incidence, both agents individually reduced disease severity. This study demonstrates a strong synergistic effect between soil-applied mycorrhizae and foliar-applied chitosan, highlighting its potential for significantly boosting cayenne pepper production
PENINGKATAN KANDUNGAN SENYAWA FENOLIK DAN FLAVONOID PADA TEPUNG LENGKUAS MERAH (Alpinia officinarum) MELALUI OPTIMASI DURASI FERMENTASI DENGAN Lactobacillus plantarum
Red galangal (Alpinia officinarum) is a medicinal herb rich in phenolic and flavonoid compounds, which offer significant health benefits. This study aimed to optimize the fermentation duration using Lactobacillus plantarum FNCC 0026 to maximize the bioactive content in red galangal flour. The research method involved fermenting red galangal flour for periods ranging from 1 to 7 days, followed by drying and a staged maceration extraction using 70% ethanol. The analyzed parameters included the final pH of the fermentation medium, total phenolic content (TPC), and total flavonoid content (TFC). The results indicated that a longer fermentation period decreased the pH, although no significant differences were observed among the 1- to 7-day treatments. Otherwise, the fermentation duration had a highly significant effect on TPC (p0.01) and TFC (p0.05). The highest accumulation of both TPC and TFC was achieved after 5 days of fermentation, with values of 1468.78 mg GAE/100 g and 41.49 mg QE/100 g, respectively. It is concluded that a 5-day fermentation period is the optimal duration for enhancing the bioactive compounds in red galangal, offering an effective biotechnological approach for developing functional food ingredients
FROM PERCEPTION TO PERFORMANCE: INVESTIGATING STUDENTS’ LEARNING OUTCOMES IN MOBILE-BASED ENGLISH PROFICIENCY TESTING
This research aims to determine the extent to which students’ English proficiency levels improve over the course of the program as measured by the British Council EnglishScore (BCES), and to evaluate the effect size of the observed change in test scores. The study employed a pre-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design. English proficiency score was assessed through pre- and post-tests using the BCES platform. The pretest and posttest scores were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. A paired samples t-test was conducted to determine statistical significance, and Cohen's d was calculated to assess the effect size of the intervention. The findings demonstrate a statistically significant improvement in students’ EnglishScore performance following the intervention. However, the effect size indicates that the gain was modest. While students showed progress on average, the improvement was not dramatic, suggesting that the impact of the short-term intervention was limited. These results highlight the importance of sustained instructional design and the need for realistic expectations when implementing short-term English language programs. Future research should consider longer-term interventions, incorporate control groups for comparison, and include qualitative data to better understand learners' experiences and engagement with digital proficiency assessments
IMPLEMENTASI COLLABORATIVE INNOVATION DALAM PENINGKATAN KUALITAS PENDIDIKAN DI SEKOLAH
This study aims to determine the implementation of collaborative innovation in improving the quality of education in schools. This study is a qualitative study using the Focus Group Discussion method. FGD was conducted on several teachers at one of South Jakarta's junior high schools with different educational backgrounds. Based on the results of the interview, it was found that innovation in education is very much needed. With innovation, teachers can be more creative in creating interesting learning and motivating students to learn. One form of innovation needed by teachers is collaborative innovation. With collaborative innovation, teachers' insights will increase and teachers will be able to create innovations in learning that can increase students' interest and motivation to learn. In addition, with collaborative innovation, teachers can learn new things outside their fields that can increase knowledge and improve the quality of education. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that collaborative innovation can improve the quality of education in schools, although the results of the increase are not significant, this is due to the background of students who are mostly not from academic achievement. However, with collaborative innovation, teachers maximize the learning process and there is an increase in students' willingness to learn
Development Of The Treasure Hunt: Fun Math Card Game Gamification-Based Learning Media To Enhance Critical Thinking Skills In Social Arithmetic
This study aims to develop and evaluate gamification-based learning media, Treasure Hunt: Fun Math Card Game, to improve students' critical thinking skills and understanding of social arithmetic at junior high school level. Specifically, this research aims to explore a more engaging and interactive approach to encourage students' motivation and critical thinking skills. This research used an RD approach with the ADDIE model. Data were collected through observation, pre-test and post-test, as well as feedback from students. Data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods to measure the improvement of students' engagement, motivation, and critical thinking skills. The results showed that the use of Treasure Hunt game significantly improved students' engagement, motivation, and understanding of social arithmetic. Students showed improved critical thinking skills in solving arithmetic problems, compared to traditional learning methods. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of gamification in making abstract mathematical concepts more interesting and easy to understand
NAVIGATING ENGLISH READING COMPREHENSION: THE ROLE OF STUDENTS' SELF-REGULATION
This study aims to explore the role of student self-regulation in understanding English reading at Danul Hikmah Pekanbaru MTS. Using a quantitative research design with a correlational descriptive approach, the study involved 46 students selected through stratified random sampling techniques out of a total population of 143 students. The research instruments included a questionnaire to measure self-regulation and standard tests to measured reading understanding. The data collection process begins with validity and reliability testing of instruments through pretests, followed by primary data collection. The data analysis was performed using SPSS version 25, using descriptive statistics to summarize data and Pearson correlations to test the relationship between self-regulation and reading understanding. The results of the analysis showed a significant positive correlation between student self-regulation and their English reading understanding score. The Pearson Correlation Coefficient of 0.849 indicates a strong relationship, where a higher level of self-Regulation is associated with a better understanding of reading. These results emphasize the importance of developing self-regulation skills in students to improve their academic performance in reading. Therefore, teaching strategies that facilitate the development of self-regulation can make a positive contribution to learning outcomes. These findings recommend the application of educational interventions that focus on the development of self-regulation to improve student reading understanding and, ultimately, their overall academic performance
Diseminasi Teknologi Produksi Mini Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL) Dengan Model Biofilter Sebagai Upaya Pengembangan Produk Unggulan Batik Berbasis Ramah Lingkungan
Limbah cair dari Industri batik dengan kandungan berbagai zat kimia, seperti pewarna dan bahan pencuci dapat mencemari lingkungan jika tidak diolah dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, sistem pengolahan air limbah yang efektif, ramah lingkungan, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan usaha kecil menengah (UKM) diperlukan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan menguji keefektifan Mini Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (Mini IPAL) dengan model biofilter berbasis Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) dalam mengolah limbah cair dari proses pembuatan batik agar dapat digunakan kembali atau dibuang tanpa membahayakan lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan berupa Mini IPAL dengan sistem biofilter yang terdiri dari beberapa komponen, seperti bak pencucian, tangki pengendapan, tangki penyaringan yang terdiri dari beberapa lapisan filter (batu besar, pasir gombong kasar, arang, pasir halus, ijuk, dan batu seloidin), serta instalasi perpipaan untuk aliran air limbah. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa Mini IPAL model biofilter mampu mengurangi kadar polutan secara signifikan, termasuk zat warna dan partikel tersuspensi, dengan efisiensi yang tinggi. Sistem ini juga terbukti ekonomis, mudah dalam perawatan, dan hemat ruang, menjadikannya cocok untuk diterapkan pada UKM di daerah dengan keterbatasan lahan dan sumber daya
Pengawasan Rehabilitasi Saluran Air Jalan Cimedang Kota Blitar
An effective strategy to improve the drainage system on Cimedang Street by integrating local expertise and resources can reduce the negative impacts of rainwater accumulation. A collaborative approach from local government, universities, and communities is actively involved in building effective drainage solutions in Bendo Village. The targeted community service activity is supervising the rehabilitation of the Cimedang Street drainage channel. The supervision results illustrate that the implementation of the Cimedang Street Drainage Channel Rehabilitation is ahead of schedule, which is completed in the seventh week with a cumulative realization of 100% of the cumulative planned weight of 42.33%. Testing of materials such as concrete and aggregates shows results that meet technical specifications and test results with concrete compressive strength of 3 samples with a compressive force of 495.9-530.4 KN with a cylinder compressive strength of 28.06-30.01 MPa. This activity results in an adequate acceleration of time realization of 57.67% and concrete compressive strength test results of20 MPa.ABSTRAKStrategi yang efektif dalam peningkatan sistem saluran air di jalan Cimedang melalui penggabungan keahlian dan sumber daya lokal dapat mengurangi dampak buruk dari akumulasi air hujan. Pendekatan kolaboratif dari pemerintah daerah, perguruan tinggi dan masyarakat yang secara aktif terlibat untuk membangun solusi saluran air yang efektif di kelurahan Bendo. Kegiatan pelayanan masyarakat yang ditargetkan adalah pengawasan rehabilitasi saluran air jalan Cimedang. Hasil pengawasan menggambarkan pelaksanaan Rehabilitasi Saluran Air Jl. Cimedang lebih cepat dari jadwal yaitu selesai pada minggu ke 7 dengan kumulatif relisasi bobot 100% dari Komulatif bobot rencana sebesar 42,33%. Pengujian material seperti beton dan agregat menunjukkan hasil yang memenuhi spesifikasi teknis dan hasil uji dengan kekuatan tekan beton 3 sampel dengan gaya tekan 495,9-530,4 KN dengan kuat tekan silinder 28,06-30,01 Mpa. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan efektifitas percepatan realisasi waktu sebesar 57,67% dan hasil uji kuat tekan beton yang 20 Mpa
DEVELOPMENT OF E-LEARNING GAMIFICATION TO IMPROVE MATHEMATICS LEARNING RESULTS
One system that is widely used now is the e-learning system, which in the system brings the influence of transformation from conventional education to education with digital forms. This research uses the RD method. The results of black box testing by testing the functionality of the e-learning gamification learning system, the results obtained are as expected and all available features run well. The effectiveness of using a website-based gamification e-learning learning system in mathematics subjects is reviewed by comparing pre-test and post-test data. The learning media is said to be successful if the gain score value obtained is 0.71 or in the high category. To test the effectiveness of the e-learning learning system, researchers used the pre-test and post-test method on 15 students of class VI-C SDN Purwantoro 1 Malang City which resulted in a difference in value or the final result of the test in the form of calculating the gain score value by obtaining a value of 0.71 which is classified as a high category. Based on the research that has been done as a whole, it can be concluded that researchers have successfully implemented a website-based gamification e-learning learning system to improve student learning outcomes
Pemanfaatan Marketplace Untuk Meningkatkan Nilai Produk Lokal Di Desa Sukolelo, Kecamatan Prigen, Kabupaten Pasuruan
Di era digital saat ini, kemajuan teknologi informasi berperan besar dalam meningkatkan sektor ekonomi dan perdagangan. Salah satunya adalah pemanfaatan marketplace sebagai saluran pemasaran produk lokal. Desa Sukolelo di Kecamatan Prigen, Kabupaten Pasuruan, memiliki potensi produk lokal berupa minuman herbal dan makanan khas yang berdaya saing tinggi, namun terhambat dalam hal pemasaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk Kuliah Kerja Nyata Universitas Bhayangkara Surabaya meliputi sosialisasi dan pelatihan untuk membantu masyarakat desa memahami dan mengoptimalkan penggunaan platform digital seperti marketplace dan media sosial dalam pemasaran produk mereka sehingga dapat meningkatkan omset penjualannya. Metode yang digunakan mencakup survei lapangan, pelatihan, serta evaluasi pasca-pelatihan untuk memastikan pemahaman masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan antara lain pemasaran digital, penggunaan marketplace, branding produk, dan teknik pengemasan yang tepat. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah terjadi peningkatan kemampuan masyarakat dalam memasarkan produk, peningkatan pemasaran menggubakan media sosial dan marketplace, yang diharapkan berdampak positif pada pertumbuhan ekonomi desa akibat kenaikan omzet penjualan. Rekomendasi yang diajukan adalah peningkatan akses teknologi dan pelatihan berkelanjutan untuk mendukung pengembangan UMKM di Desa Sukolelo
