    No full text
This article explores the role, sustainability, and forms of foreign aid in the field of media and information literacy (MIL) in Central Asian countries. Los Efectos De Las Interacciones En Comunidades Virtuales En Las Redes Sociales En La Conformación Y Reproducción De La Memoria Cultural, La Identidad Del Barrio Y La Cultura

    No full text
This study aims to reveal the effect of virtual communities in social media on the reproduction of cultural memory, neighborhood identity, and culture. Another aim of the study is to investigate the potential of virtual communities to shape cultural memory, continuity, and social structure and to discuss the impact of individuals who can actively produce and share content in virtual communities on neighborhood identity and neighborhood culture. For this purpose, three research questions were put forward. RQ1: “How does interaction occur in social media, different from communities in the physical environment?” RQ2: “How are cultural memory, neighborhood culture, and identity rebuilt and shaped in the context of communication and interaction that emerges in social media virtual communities?” RQ3: “In virtual communities in social media, what is the potential of subcultures to influence or contribute to communities on a macro scale with the resulting interaction?” The theoretical approach of the research consists of Mead (2019), the representative of symbolic interactionism, and Goffman's (1978) self-society relationship with the presentation of the Self. In addition, cultural memory, neighborhood identity and culture, and the concept of the virtual community were mentioned, and the coding made for the research was directed in this direction. As a sample for the study, comments were obtained on the Tatavla'dan Kurtuluş’a virtual community on Facebook between 30 May and 30 December 2022 (n:1134), and these comments were analyzed by Van Dijk's discourse analysis method. According to the findings, the communities formed by the coming together of the selves in the micro context ensure the continuity of the neighborhood identity and culture that has been eroded in the virtual environment. However, the impact of these communities on face-to-face relations and institutions remains limited.

Sustainability is not only essential for protecting environment; it is also important for equality, human rights, the fight against hunger, education, health services and social development. Sustainability communication is just as important as these efforts. Through communication efforts, it is possible to make these efforts known and raise awareness on the subject. Universities, which have the greatest role in the development of society, are responsible for raising informed and aware future generations and also lead other institutions in this. This research aims to holistically assess current sustainability and related communication practices particularly gender/equality to reveal the general framework of sustainability structures in universities and to examine communication practices surrounding sustainability in Spanish universities, which perform well in this regard, especially in gender equality. A survey was conducted with 12 Spanish universities which are scored in THE and QS World University Rankings according to their SDG performances.AbstractSustainability is not only essential for protecting the environment; it is also important for equality, human rights, the fight against hunger, education, health services and social development. Reflections on the Circulation of Wisdom Literature in Late Medieval Aragon and Castile

    Get PDF
ABSTRACT: This article studies three stages in the circulation of wisdom literature in Aragon and Castile in the later Middle Ages: 1) Origins: wisdom texts in romance were preceded by texts in Arabic, Hebrew and Latin. By the time these romance texts appeared there was a highly developed (in terms of aids for the reader) of florilegia in Latin which, often dependent on other florilegia, preserved a wide range of authors, both familiar and rare. 2) Manuscript context: a conspectus of the manuscripts in which the vernacular texts are found suggests that scribes (or perhaps rather editors) had a sense of what defined wisdom as a genre. 3) Consumption: the article concludes with the use which romance authors made of the Latin florilegia and testifies to the function of these florilegia as a network of knowledge

The strongest parallel between Dante and Llull is having been two medieval vernacular writers well aware of their respective missions. Lines 460-462 of Llibre de Fortuna i Prudència by Bernat Metge (1381) are the first symptom of Dante’s creative reception. Andreu Febrer’s connection to the ephemeral Sicilian court of Martí el Jove and the circulation of the Silloge boccaccesca indicate the incoming of Dante’s influence in the poetry of the fifteenth century. The PhD thesis by Francesc Gómez and Raquel Parera corroborate that the exegetic apparatus had an outstanding role in the reception of the Commedia, which can be verified both in its unabridged versified translation by Andreu Febrer and in the Tractat de les penes particulars d’infern by fra Joan Pasqual; the theory of fiction advocated by the anonymous Curial e Güelfa author derives from this same source. A pioneering paper by Costanzo Di Girolamo revealed the literary presence of Dante in Ausiàs March’s poetry, which is a subject requiring new attention. Some clues connecting Dante to Muntaner and to other writers like Turmeda, even if stimulating, are lacking evidence

    Get PDF
ABSTRACT: In the Old Occitan lyric, the «rauca» voice implies a qualitative judgment that can define not only the feeling that accompanies the composition, but also the stylistic level of the poetry. Aim of this study is to frame the voice by its spiritual nature and to relate this aspect to the pneumo-phantasmatic character of love and language, as well as to the espressive-affective dimension of the lyric ego. The stylistic value of the hoarse voice will be validated and supplemented by comparisons with late-ancient or Middle-Latin occurrences (Isidore of Seville, Marbodo of Rennes, Baudri of Bourgueil) and tests of philosophical plant

The reflection of the struggle against male violence on digital platform TV series: Hükümsüz and Mezarlık

    No full text
On digital platforms, patriarchal ideology-challenging works are more widely available. The television series Hükümsüz, which debuted on the Exxen platform in 2021, and Mezarlık, which debuted on Netflix in 2022, have established themselves as pioneering projects that raise awareness of the rise in femicides in Turkey in recent years. The Mezarlık dramas, which also reveal the role of the police and the state in the murder of women, and the Hükümsüz series, which emphasizes that femicides are caused by gender inequality and calls into question the patriarchal order, are both examined from a feminist standpoint in this study as works that challenge male dominance. The representations in the dramas are coded in terms of gender roles, perpetrator responsibility and the victimisation of women in the representation of male violence, the politics of femicide and the responsibility of the state, and practices of combating male violence. Using content analysis, one of the qualitative research techniques, it was possible to determine that the series were composed in a way that was intended to undermine the patriarchy, which is a continuation of the prevailing ideology
