Appraisal Framework for Integrated Transport
This working paper outlines an appraisal framework for the Integrated Transport project. The project examined the demand implications from the introduction of a Taktfahrplan timetable onto the east coast mainline rail route. The Taktfahrplan concept is frequently referred to as an interval timetable and is based on trains leaving stations at the same time past the hour throughout the operational day. A stated preference exercise was conducted to estimated what values people placed on such a timetable and these values were added to the more conventional elements of generalised cost to obtain the changes in demand that would result from the introduction of a Taktfahrplan.
The working paper is divided into a number of sections that will highlight,
• the key implications to arise from the Integrated Transport project;
• the demand model;
• the appraisal framework;
• the data sources used within the appraisal framework; and
• the results of the appraisal framework.

Image segmentation evaluation using an integrated framework
In this paper we present a general framework we have developed for running and evaluating automatic image and video segmentation algorithms. This framework was designed to allow effortless integration of existing and forthcoming image segmentation algorithms, and allows researchers to focus more on the development and evaluation of segmentation methods, relying on the framework for encoding/decoding and visualization. We then utilize this framework to automatically evaluate four distinct segmentation algorithms, and present and discuss the results and statistical findings of the experiment
Business Domain Modelling using an Integrated Framework
This paper presents an application of a “Systematic Soft Domain Driven Design Framework” as a soft systems approach to domain-driven design of information systems development. The framework combining techniques from Soft Systems Methodology (SSM), the Unified Modelling Language (UML), and an implementation pattern known as “Naked Objects”. This framework have been used in action research projects that have involved the investigation and modelling of business processes using object-oriented domain models and the implementation of software systems based on those domain models. Within this framework, Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) is used as a guiding methodology to explore the problem situation and to develop the domain model using UML for the given business domain. The framework is proposed and evaluated in our previous works, and a real case study “Information Retrieval System for academic research” is used, in this paper, to show further practice and evaluation of the framework in different business domain. We argue that there are advantages from combining and using techniques from different methodologies in this way for business domain modelling. Integrated dipoles with MadDipole in the MadGraph framework
Heading towards a full automation of next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD
corrections, one important ingredient is the analytical integration over the
one-particle phase space of the unresolved particle that is necessary when
adding the subtraction terms to the virtual corrections. We present the
implementation of these integrated dipoles in the MadGraph framework. The
result is a package that allows an automated calculation for the NLO real

Toward an integrated workforce planning framework using structured equations
Strategic Workforce Planning is a company process providing best in class,
economically sound, workforce management policies and goals. Despite the
abundance of literature on the subject, this is a notorious challenge in terms
of implementation. Reasons span from the youth of the field itself to broader
data integration concerns that arise from gathering information from financial,
human resource and business excellence systems. This paper aims at setting the
first stones to a simple yet robust quantitative framework for Strategic
Workforce Planning exercises. First a method based on structured equations is
detailed. It is then used to answer two main workforce related questions: how
to optimally hire to keep labor costs flat? How to build an experience
constrained workforce at a minimal cost
An Integrated Enterprise Architecture Framework for Business-IT Alignment
When different businesses want to integrate part of their processes and IT, they need to relate their enterprise architecture frameworks. An enterprise architecture framework (EAF) is a conceptual framework for describing the architecture of a business and its information technology (IT), and their alignment. In this paper we provide an integration among some well-known EAFs (Zachman, Four-domain, TOGAF and RM-ODP) and produce an integrated EAF (IEAF) that can be used as common framework to communicate about EAFs of differrent businesses and relate them to each other
