Further all-loop results in softly-broken supersymmetric gauge theories
It is proven that the recently found, renormalization-group invariant sum
rule for the soft scalar masses in softly-broken N=1 supersymmetric
gauge-Yukawa unified theories can be extended to all orders in perturbation
theory. In the case of finite unified theories, the sum rule ensures the
all-loop finiteness in the soft supersymmetry breaking sector. As a byproduct
the exact function for the soft scalar masses in the
Novikov-Shifman-Vainstein-Zakharov (NSVZ) scheme for softly-broken
supersymmetric QCD is obtained. It is also found that the singularity appearing
in the sum rule in the NSVZ scheme exactly coincides with that which has been
previously found in a certain class of superstring models in which the massive
string states are organized into supermultiplets.Comment: 14 page
Electron Transport in Magnetic-Field-Induced Quasi-One-Dimensional Electron Systems in Semiconductor Nanowhiskers
Many-body effects on tunneling of electrons in semiconductor nanowhiskers are
investigated in a magnetic quantum limit. We consider the system with which
bulk and edge states coexist. We show that interaction parameters of edge
states are much smaller than those of bulk states and the tunneling conductance
of edge states hardly depends on temperature and the singular behavior of
tunneling conductance of bulk states can be observed.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure
Multipole ordering in f-electron systems
In order to investigate multipole ordering in f-electron systems from a
microscopic viewpoint, we study the so-called \Gamma_8 models on three kinds of
lattices, simple cubic (sc), bcc, and fcc, based on a j-j coupling scheme with
f-electron hopping integrals through (ff\sigma) bonding. From the \Gamma_8
model, we derive an effective model for each lattice structure by using the
second-order perturbation theory with respect to (ff\sigma). By further
applying mean-field theory to the effective model, we find a \Gamma_{3g}
antiferro-quadrupole transition for the sc lattice, a \Gamma_{2u}
antiferro-octupole transition for the bcc lattice, and a longitudinal triple-q
\Gamma_{5u} octupole transition for the fcc lattice.Comment: 2 pages, 3 figure
Coupling Reduction and the Higgs Mass
Assuming the existence of a functional relation among the Standard Model (SM)
couplings gauge and quartic , we determine the mass of the
Higgs particle. Similar considerations for the top and bottom Yukawa couplings
in the minimal supersymmetric SM lead to the prediction of a narrow window for
, one of the main parameters that determine the light Higgs mass.Comment: 17 pages, 16 figure
Oscillator Quantum Algebra and Deformed su(2) Algebra
A difference operator realization of quantum deformed oscillator algebra
with a Casimir operator freedom is introduced. We show that this
have a nonlinear mapping to the deformed quantum su(2) which was
introduced by Fujikawa et al. We also examine the cyclic representation
obtained by this difference operator realization and the possibility to analyze
a Bloch electron problem by .Comment: 9 pages, Late
