Enhancing GAN-Based Vocoders with Contrastive Learning Under Data-limited Condition
Vocoder models have recently achieved substantial progress in generating
authentic audio comparable to human quality while significantly reducing memory
requirement and inference time. However, these data-hungry generative models
require large-scale audio data for learning good representations. In this
paper, we apply contrastive learning methods in training the vocoder to improve
the perceptual quality of the vocoder without modifying its architecture or
adding more data. We design an auxiliary task with mel-spectrogram contrastive
learning to enhance the utterance-level quality of the vocoder model under
data-limited conditions. We also extend the task to include waveforms to
improve the multi-modality comprehension of the model and address the
discriminator overfitting problem. We optimize the additional task
simultaneously with GAN training objectives. Our result shows that the tasks
improve model performance substantially in data-limited settings. Our analysis
based on the result indicates that the proposed design successfully alleviates
discriminator overfitting and produces audio of higher fidelity
Robust Digital-Twin Localization via An RGBD-based Transformer Network and A Comprehensive Evaluation on a Mobile Dataset
The potential of digital-twin technology, involving the creation of precise
digital replicas of physical objects, to reshape AR experiences in 3D object
tracking and localization scenarios is significant. However, enabling robust 3D
object tracking in dynamic mobile AR environments remains a formidable
challenge. These scenarios often require a more robust pose estimator capable
of handling the inherent sensor-level measurement noise. In this paper,
recognizing the challenges of comprehensive solutions in existing literature,
we propose a transformer-based 6DoF pose estimator designed to achieve
state-of-the-art accuracy under real-world noisy data. To systematically
validate the new solution's performance against the prior art, we also
introduce a novel RGBD dataset called Digital Twin Tracking Dataset v2 (DTTD2),
which is focused on digital-twin object tracking scenarios. Expanded from an
existing DTTD v1 (DTTD1), the new dataset adds digital-twin data captured using
a cutting-edge mobile RGBD sensor suite on Apple iPhone 14 Pro, expanding the
applicability of our approach to iPhone sensor data. Through extensive
experimentation and in-depth analysis, we illustrate the effectiveness of our
methods under significant depth data errors, surpassing the performance of

Pre-training on Synthetic Driving Data for Trajectory Prediction
Accumulating substantial volumes of real-world driving data proves pivotal in
the realm of trajectory forecasting for autonomous driving. Given the heavy
reliance of current trajectory forecasting models on data-driven methodologies,
we aim to tackle the challenge of learning general trajectory forecasting
representations under limited data availability. We propose to augment both HD
maps and trajectories and apply pre-training strategies on top of them.
Specifically, we take advantage of graph representations of HD-map and apply
vector transformations to reshape the maps, to easily enrich the limited number
of scenes. Additionally, we employ a rule-based model to generate trajectories
based on augmented scenes; thus enlarging the trajectories beyond the collected
real ones. To foster the learning of general representations within this
augmented dataset, we comprehensively explore the different pre-training
strategies, including extending the concept of a Masked AutoEncoder (MAE) for
trajectory forecasting. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of
our data expansion and pre-training strategies, which outperform the baseline

ETS1 Mediates MEK1/2-Dependent Overexpression of Cancerous Inhibitor of Protein Phosphatase 2A (CIP2A) in Human Cancer Cells
EGFR-MEK-ERK signaling pathway has an established role in promoting malignant growth and disease progression in human cancers. Therefore identification of transcriptional targets mediating the oncogenic effects of the EGFR-MEK-ERK pathway would be highly relevant. Cancerous inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A (CIP2A) is a recently characterized human oncoprotein. CIP2A promotes malignant cell growth and is over expressed at high frequency (40–80%) in most of the human cancer types. However, the mechanisms inducing its expression in cancer still remain largely unexplored. Here we present systematic analysis of contribution of potential gene regulatory mechanisms for high CIP2A expression in cancer. Our data shows that evolutionary conserved CpG islands at the proximal CIP2A promoter are not methylated both in normal and cancer cells. Furthermore, sequencing of the active CIP2A promoter region from altogether seven normal and malignant cell types did not reveal any sequence alterations that would increase CIP2A expression specifically in cancer cells. However, treatment of cancer cells with various signaling pathway inhibitors revealed that CIP2A mRNA expression was sensitive to inhibition of EGFR activity as well as inhibition or activation of MEK-ERK pathway. Moreover, MEK1/2-specific siRNAs decreased CIP2A protein expression. Series of CIP2A promoter-luciferase constructs were created to identify proximal −27 to −107 promoter region responsible for MEK-dependent stimulation of CIP2A expression. Additional mutagenesis and chromatin immunoprecipitation experiments revealed ETS1 as the transcription factor mediating stimulation of CIP2A expression through EGFR-MEK pathway. Thus, ETS1 is probably mediating high CIP2A expression in human cancers with increased EGFR-MEK1/2-ERK pathway activity. These results also suggest that in addition to its established role in invasion and angiogenesis, ETS1 may support malignant cellular growth via regulation of CIP2A expression and protein phosphatase 2A inhibition
Partial-wave analysis of the eta pi+ pi- system produced in the reaction pi-p --> eta pi+ pi- n at 18 GeV/c
A partial-wave analysis of 9082 eta pi+ pi- n events produced in the reaction
pi- p --> eta pi+ pi- n at 18.3 GeV/c has been carried out using data from
experiment 852 at Brookhaven National Laboratory. The data are dominated by
J^{PC} = 0^{-+} partial waves consistent with observation of the eta(1295) and
the eta(1440). The mass and width of the eta(1295) were determined to be 1282
+- 5 MeV and 66 +- 13 Mev respectively while the eta(1440) was observed with a
mass of 1404 +- 6 MeV and width of 80 +- 21 MeV. Other partial waves of
importance include the 1++ and the 1+- waves. Results of the partial wave
analysis are combined with results of other experiments to estimate f1(1285)
branching fractions. These values are considerably different from current
values determined without the aid of amplitude analyses.Comment: 22 pages, 8 figure
Observation of a New J(PC)=1(+-) Isoscalar State in the Reaction Pi- Proton -> Omega Eta Neutron at 18 GeV/c
Results are presented on a partial wave analysis of the Omega Eta final state
produced in Pi- Proton interactions at 18 GeVc where Omega -> Pi+ Pi- Pi0, Pi0
-> 2 Gammas, and Eta -> 2 Gammas. We observe the previously unreported decay
mode Omega(1650) -> Omega Eta and a new 1(+-) meson state h1(1595) with a mass
M=1594(15)(+10)(-60) MeV/c^2 and a width Gamma=384(60)(+70)(-100) MeV/c^2. The

Evidence for Exotic J^{PC}=1^{-+} Meson Production in the Reaction pi- p --> eta pi- p at 18 GeV/c
Details of the analysis of the eta pi- system studied in the reaction pi^{-}
p --> eta pi^{-} p at 18 GeV/c are given. Separate analyses for the 2 gamma and
pi+ pi- pi0 decay modes of the eta are presented. An amplitude analysis of the
data indicates the presence of interference between the a(2)(1320)- and a
J^{PC}=1^{-+} wave between 1.2 and 1.6 GeV/c^2. The phase difference between
these waves shows phase motion not attributable solely to the a(2)(1320)-. The
data can be fitted by interference between the a(2)(1320)- and an exotic 1^{-+}
resonance with M = 1370 +-16 +50 -30} MeV/c^2 and Gamma = 385 +- 40 +65 -105
MeV/c^2. Our results are compared with those of other experiments.Comment: 50 pages of text and 34 figure
Measurement of Inclusive B --> psi Production
Using the combined CLEO II and CLEO II.V data sets of 9.1 fb^{-1} at the
Upsilon(4S), we measure properties of Psi mesons produced directly from decays
of the B meson, where ``B'' denotes an admixture of B+, B-, B0, and B0bar, and
``Psi'' denotes either J/Psi or Psi(2S). We report first measurements of Psi
polarization in B -> Psi(direct) X: alpha(J/Psi) = -0.30 {+0.07 -0.06 stat}
{+-0.04 syst} and alpha(Psi(2S)) = -0.45 {+0.22 -0.19 stat} {+-0.04 syst}. We
also report improved measurements of the momentum distributions of Psi produced
directly from B decays, correcting for measurement smearing. Finally, we report
measurements of the inclusive branching fraction for B -> Psi X and B -> Chi_c1
