On the Three-dimensional Lattice Model
Using the restricted star-triangle relation, it is shown that the -state
spin integrable model on a three-dimensional lattice with spins interacting
round each elementary cube of the lattice proposed by Mangazeev, Sergeev and
Stroganov is a particular case of the Bazhanov-Baxter model.Comment: 8 pages, latex, 4 figure
Gluon GPDs and Exclusive Photoproduction of a Quarkonium in Forward Region
Forward photoproduction of can be used to extract Generalized Parton
Distributions(GPD's) of gluons. We analyze the process at twist-3 level and
study relevant classifications of twist-3 gluon GPD's. At leading power or
twist-2 level the produced is transversely polarized. We find that at
twist-3 the produced is longitudinally polarized. Our study shows that
in high energy limit the twist-3 amplitude is only suppressed by the inverse
power of the heavy quark mass relatively to the twist-2 amplitude. This
indicates that the power correction to the cross-section of unpolarized
can have a sizeable effect. We have also derived the amplitude of the
production of at twist-3, but the result contains end-point
singularities. The production of other quarkonia has been briefly discussed.Comment: Discussions of results are adde
Evidence for electron-phonon interaction in FeMSb (M=Co, Cr) single crystals
We have measured polarized Raman scattering spectra of the
FeCoSb and FeCrSb (00.5)
single crystals in the temperature range between 15 K and 300 K. The highest
energy symmetry mode shows significant line asymmetry due to phonon
mode coupling width electronic background. The coupling constant achieves the
highest value at about 40 K and after that it remains temperature independent.
Origin of additional mode broadening is pure anharmonic. Below 40 K the
coupling is drastically reduced, in agreement with transport properties
measurements. Alloying of FeSb with Co and Cr produces the B mode
narrowing, i.e. weakening of the electron-phonon interaction. In the case of
A symmetry modes we have found a significant mode mixing
An Efficient Method for GPS Multipath Mitigation Using the Teager-Kaiser-Operator-based MEDLL
An efficient method for GPS multipath mitigation is proposed. The motivation for this proposed method is to integrate the Teager-Kaiser Operator (TKO) with the Multipath Estimating Delay Lock Loop (MEDLL) module to mitigate the GPS multipath efficiently. The general implementation process of the proposed method is that we first utilize the TKO to operate on the received signal’s Auto-Correlation Function (ACF) to get an initial estimate of the multipaths. Then we transfer the initial estimated results to the MEDLL module for a further estimation. Finally, with a few iterations which are less than those of the original MEDLL algorithm, we can get a more accurate estimate of the Line-Of-Sight (LOS) signal, and thus the goal of the GPS multipath mitigation is achieved. The simulation results show that compared to the original MEDLL algorithm, the proposed method can reduce the computation load and the hardware and/or software consumption of the MEDLL module, meanwhile, without decreasing the algorithm accuracy
Model Wavefunctions for the Collective Modes and the Magneto-roton Theory of the Fractional Quantum Hall Effect
We construct model wavefunctions for the collective modes of fractional
quantum Hall systems. The wavefunctions are expressed in terms of symmetric
polynomials characterized by a root partition and a "squeezed" basis, and show
excellent agreement with exact diagonalization results for finite systems. In
the long wavelength limit, the model wavefunctions reduce to those predicted by
the single-mode approximation, and remain accurate at energies above the
continuum of roton pairs.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, minor changes for the final prl versio
Nature of magnetism in CaCoO
We find using LSDA+U band structure calculations that the novel
one-dimensional cobaltate CaCoO is not a ferromagnetic half-metal
but a Mott insulator. Both the octahedral and the trigonal Co ions are formally
trivalent, with the octahedral being in the low-spin and the trigonal in the
high-spin state. The inclusion of the spin-orbit coupling leads to the
occupation of the minority-spin orbital for the unusually coordinated
trigonal Co, producing a giant orbital moment (1.57 ). It also results
in an anomalously large magnetocrystalline anisotropy (of order 70 meV),
elucidating why the magnetism is highly Ising-like. The role of the oxygen
holes, carrying an induced magnetic moment of 0.13 per oxygen, for
the exchange interactions is discussed.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures, and 1 tabl
