This study investigated whether junior college female students overly estimate the rates of those who have sexual experiences among university, high school and junior high school students, and whether these estimations differ with the frequency of the exposure to mass media and with their own sexual experiences. Thirty-six junior college female students replied to the questionnaires. The results show that respondents estimated the rates of those who have sexual experiences higher than the actual rates in all grades for both men and women. The more they read magazines and watch television, the higher they estimated that rates of university students. Those who have sexual experiences estimated that rates of high school and university students higher than those who do not have. The influences of this overestimation to young people were discussed

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between self-reported attachment styles and self-reported and behavioral anxiety among Japanese young adults with intimate person in laboratory situation. The participants were eighteen pairs in intimate relationship (they were friends or romantic partners). For each pair, one of them was provoked anxiety by instruction, and then they interacted and experienced brief separation in laboratory setting. Their interactions were video-taped. Finally, they completed questionnaires involving self-report attachment styles and self-report anxiety scale. Their anxious behaviors in laboratory were rated. The result shows that attachment styles were systematically related to anxiety. Secure score was associated with low anxiety at any situation. Ambivalent score was associated with high anxiety in separation. Avoidant score was positively correlated with both self-reported and behavioral anxiety in separation and behavioral anxiety in pre-separation. These results suggest that individual differences of adult attachment are associated with a regulation of anxiety in interaction with intimate parson
