DETERMINING THE EFFECTS OF LAND CHARACTERISTICS ON FARMLAND VALUES IN SOUTH-CENTRAL IDAHO
This study focused on evaluating the effects of different attributes that impact irrigated farmland values in South-central Idaho. Results indicate that study area farmland values are largely determined by agricultural productivity (profiability) related factors. However, estimated "development increment values" for parcels that seemed to be under development pressure in the study area are explainable by nonagricultural variables.Land Economics/Use,
Protecting Farmland From Development - How To Determine Which Lands Are Under The Most Pressure.
The objective of this paper is to follow-up on the research done by Vasquez, et al. by quantifying the development value increments implied by the 1M's greater than 20 that they calculated, and determining whether these development value increments can be explained by development related independent variables
An Economic Analysis Of U.S. Tariffs On Canadian Lumber Imports
The objective of this paper is to present a theoretical and empirical analysis of the effect that the new tariffs on Canadian lumber imports have had on the North American economies
