The Introduction to Accounting is main course that must be taken by the economics students. However, the content of the subject was delivered manually, on the other hand in the information technology era the teaching methods for subject can be performed using computerized system for example by using a spreadsheet method. By using the formula, worksheets can be connected each other. The aim of this study is to analyze the level of student acceptance in using spreadsheet method. This is experimental research method on 83 economics students and accompanied by online questionnaires before and after training. Question item questionnaire was prepared based on Technology Acceptance Model. Pengaruh Employee Empowerment Terhadap Service Quality Di Indonesian Restaurant

Industri restoran dan cafe di Indonesia tengah berkembang pesat, restoran golongan Indonesian restaurant di Surabaya pun makin banyak bermunculan sehingga hal ini mengakibatkan persaingan antar restoran yang sejenis semakin ketat. Restoran Ikan Bakar Cianjur, Rumah Makan Handayani, dan Resto Kapulaga merupakan contoh dari Indonesian restaurant yang akrab di kalangan masyarakat Surabaya, dan ketiganya perlu memperhatikan persaingan bisnis restoran yang makin kompetitif saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh employee empowerment terhadap service quality di Indonesian restaurant, agar restoran dapat meningkatkan service quality yang diberikan kepada pelanggan. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode SEM dengan smart PLS software. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan employee empowerment berpengaruh secara positif terhadap service behaviour dan job satisfaction, dan job satisfaction terhadap service quality, sedangkan employee empowerment terhadap service quality, dan service behaviour terhadap service quality berpengaruh secara negatif

Pengaruh Employee Empowerment Terhadap Service Quality Di Hotel Bintang 3 Di Surabaya

Pertumbuhan industri perhotelan di Indonesia sangat pesat. Di Surabaya sendiri, banyak hotel bintang 3 bermunculan seperti Midtown Hotel, Twin Hotel dan Prime Royal Hotel. Ini menyebabkan persaingan yang sengit antara hotel bintang 3 dan mereka berlomba-lomba untuk memberikan service quality yang baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) yang menggunakan software Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil dari penelitian ini, employee empowerment berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap service behaviour dan job satisfaction, sedangkan employee empowerment, job satisfaction dan service behaviour berpengaruh secara negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap service quality

Identifying polyglutamine protein species in situ that best predict neurodegeneration.

Polyglutamine (polyQ) stretches exceeding a threshold length confer a toxic function to proteins that contain them and cause at least nine neurological disorders. The basis for this toxicity threshold is unclear. Although polyQ expansions render proteins prone to aggregate into inclusion bodies, this may be a neuronal coping response to more toxic forms of polyQ. The exact structure of these more toxic forms is unknown. Here we show that the monoclonal antibody 3B5H10 recognizes a species of polyQ protein in situ that strongly predicts neuronal death. The epitope selectively appears among some of the many low-molecular-weight conformational states assumed by expanded polyQ and disappears in higher-molecular-weight aggregated forms, such as inclusion bodies. These results suggest that protein monomers and possibly small oligomers containing expanded polyQ stretches can adopt a conformation that is recognized by 3B5H10 and is toxic or closely related to a toxic species
