    Need Analysis of Lesson Planning to Teach Education Value of Sulawesi Ethnic Dance Teaching in Primary School

    This study aims to find out need analysis of lesson planning to teach education value of Sulawesi ethnic dance which comprises learning material, teaching method and learning model, learning media, as well as an assessment instrument. A method implemented in this study was research and development (R&D) with three main stages, namely, preliminary study, developmental research, and evaluation. This study, however, will only implement the first stage of study which is the preliminary study. This is implemented to perform need and content analysis. Results showed that need of lesson planning to teach education value of Sulawesi ethnic dance comprises learning material, teaching method and learning model, learning media, as well as an assessment instrument belongs to the category of “very important” and that the planning is needed by teachers in teaching Sulawesi ethnic dance value for students in primary school

    The aims of this development are (1) to describe the art of dance training model which have ever given, (2) to describe of training needs of the appreciation of local dance for the teacher of elementary school, (3) to describe first draft of the appreciation of local dance training model for the elementary school teacher, (4) to describe the result of the first design of draft model and set of appreciation training of local dance for the elementary school teacher, (5) to describe the result of expert team evaluation (expert of management, art, and lecture of the art of dance) to the model of training set which is useful for elementary school teacher training; (6) to describe the limited trial result of the implementation of appreciation training model of local dance for elementary school teacher; (7) to describe the appreciation training model of local dance which is developed after getting the trial. The research method is Research and Development (R & D). The implementation of model uses single one shot case study design with one group pre-test and post-test. Survey respondents are primary school teachers in Makassar. Data collection interview and questionnaires. Effectiveness of the model is tested through test validation by experts and practitioners, as well as a limited experiment through training. And, the data is analyzed descriptively. The findings of this study are the aspects which affect the needs and success of ASTNDS training implementation. They are: (1) training materials, (2) training programs, (3) the form of training, (4) training instructor, (5) training facilities & infrastructure, and (6) CD of dance training. Other findings are generating ASTNDS training model and devices which refers to management functions (2-steps planning; 4-steps implementation, and 2-steps evaluation). Validation and experimental test results show that the model of a hypothetical model of local dance is effective for primary school teachers training. Researcher recommends applying ASTNDS model and training devices in a primary school teacher training because it is proved that it is effective for teacher training on the subject of art, culture and skills in elementary schools

    The Improvement of Audio-visual Based Dance Appreciation Learning Among Primary Teacher Education Students of Makassar State University

    This research aimed to improve the skill in appreciating dances owned by the students of Primary Teacher Education of Makassar State University, to improve the perception towards audio-visual based art appreciation, to increase the students\u27 interest in audio-visual based art education subject, and to increase the students\u27 responses to the subject. This research was classroom action research using the research design created by Kemmis & MC. Taggart, which was conducted to 42 students of Primary Teacher Education of Makassar State University. The data collection was conducted using observation, questionnaire, and interview. The techniques of data analysis applied in this research were descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of this research were: (1) the students\u27 achievement in audio-visual based dance appreciation improved: precycle 33,33%, cycle I 42,85% and cycle II 83,33%, (2) the students\u27 perception towards the audio-visual based dance appreciation improved: cycle I 59,52%, and cycle II 71,42%. The students\u27 perception towards the subject obtained through structured interview in cycle I and II was 69,83% in a high category, (3) the interest of the students in the art education subject, especially audio-visual based dance appreciation, increased: cycle I 52,38% and cycle II 64,28%, and the students\u27 interest in the subject obtained through structured interview was 69,50 % in a high category. (3) the students\u27 response to audio-visual based dance appreciation increased: cycle I 54,76% and cycle II 69,04% in a good category
