Occasional Collocations in Poetry of P. B. Shelley and Their Typology

The article is devoted to the functional-semantic analysis of occasional collocations in the poetry of P. B. Shelley. Occasional collocation refers to a special type of lexical units - individual author’s combinations of words, in which, as a rule, the lexical-semantic combinability is intentionally violated to attract the attention of readers to an unusual use of words. The relevance of this study is determined by the fact that occasional collocations are, firstly, one of the most expressive means of aesthetic enrichment of the artwork, and secondly, valuable linguistic material to study. The purpose of this article is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of occasional collocations for defining the meaning of the units, identifying mechanisms of their formation and establishment of the functions of collocations in the context of the works of P. B. Shelley and their belonging to a particular taxonomic type. In the analysis the author identifies several types of occasional units, creating the originality of poet’s lyrics: the author’s metaphors, deliberate pleonasms, inter-perception transfer, epithets, combinations of words, containing the opposite semes and at the same time having common semes to create occasional meaning. It is emphasized that the creation of occasional collocations is a characteristic feature of the author’s style of Shelley

Abstract P-33: Structural Basis for the Growing Microtubule End Recognition by End Binding Proteins

Background: Eukaryotic end binding proteins (EBs) can follow the growing microtubule end. EBs play a crucial role in microtubule dynamic instability and promote simultaneously growth rate and catastrophe frequency. It makes EB-like proteins perspective drag targets for a wide number of diseases. But the molecular mechanism of tip tracking by EB-like proteins remains unknown. Studies of mutants have revealed that the conservative amino acid Q102 (numbering relative to the human EB1 protein) plays a key role in the recognition of the growing microtubule end. However, the 3D structure studies revealed that this amino acid has no bonds with tubulin. In this work, we performed structural and phylogenetic analysis of EBs proteins to identify a possible molecular mechanism behind the plus end tracking. Methods: UCSF Chimera10 was used for structural analysis. Phylogenetic analysis was performed with MEGA X software. 3D structures of EBs and microtubules with different states of GTP hydrolysis were used (pdb 3JAK, 3JAS, 3JAT, 3JAW, 3JAL, 3JAR, 6DPU, 6DPV, 6DPW). Results: We have shown that two conservative amino acids (K100, E106) should play an important role in the recognition of the microtubule plus end in addition to Q102. It was concluded that these amino acids together form the plus-end «navigation site» of EBs. Analysis of possible interaction of the «navigation site» amino acids with microtubules in different conformational states suggested that the main mechanism of growing microtubule end recognition is not due to an affinity increase for a certain state of tubulin in microtubules at their end, but it due to a significant affinity decrease in other parts of the microtubule as a result of steric clashes. Conclusion: Thus, the results of the analysis suggested the possible molecular mechanism that provides the tip tracking by EB-like proteins and allowed us to identify the key amino acids of this mechanism

Occasional Combinatorial Lexicology as an Area of Study of Occasional Collocations

The article is devoted to occasional combinatorial lexicology as a separate area of combinatorial linguistics, more precisely, to lexicology studying occasional collocations, or atypical, individually authored and non-reproducible word combinations created through deliberate violation of lexico-semantic compatibility for performing certain functionally expressive tasks within a specific text. Particular attention is paid to the fact that the authors create and include occasional collocations for various purposes: first, to express an unconventional attitude to the object or subject described, secondly, to give it its own characteristic, thirdly, to put a certain emphasis on any part of the narration, etc. The technique of the functional-semantic analysis of occasional collocations as the basic, complex method of investigation is presented in the article, and features of this type of collocations are revealed. The authors believe that the allocation of occasional combinatorial lexicology contributes to the development and improvement of combinatorial science and the lexicological branch, provides scientifically substantiated interpretation and description of special lexical units - occasional collocations

© 2016 by iSER, International Society of Educational Research. The topicality of the research is connected with the modern socio-cultural situation which requires from an educational institution to create an active, responsible, selfreliant member of the society who can act thoughtfully and rationally in ambiguous situations. It is necessary to develop a new model of educational strategies based on the principles of personification, dialogueness, subjectness, individual approach, and complementarity. The purpose of the article is to describe the methodological base of personalized education and the instructional strategies which are used within this approach. The main approaches to research this issue are learner-centered, culturological, axiological, synergistic, and hermeneutic approaches. The main results of the article are the author's understanding of the strategies of personalized education given through the description of their characteristics and differences from other teaching strategies, and the description of certain strategies of personalized education. The article and the research result described can be used to modernize the educational process in general and higher education organizations, to provide for conditions of subjectness progress and learner-centered approach
