Prediabetes is considered as the initial phase of macrovaskular disease associated with increase of blood glucose and cholesterol level. The effect of propolis to treat fasting blood glucose, glucose tolerance, total cholesterol was examined. Experimental Research with Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT) design was utilized in the study. Intervention given was propolis at dose 50 mg/kg bwt and health education administered for 20 days. The quality of propolis was 20%extract and quercetin content 25.29 mg/L tested by Biofarmaka Laboratory Test of Hasanuddin University, health education used counseling strategy. Thesamples were 64 prediabetic patients consist of 32 patients treated with propolis and 32 treated with health education. The result of Wilcoxon with significant level of 0.05 has proved significantly decreased fasting blood glucose, glucose tolerance and total cholesterol respectively 14.28 (p=0.000), 23.16 (p=0.000) and 16.3 (p=0.000) The result of group given propolis as significant as health education group respectively fasting blood glucose 14.9 (p=0.001), glucose tolerance 13.98 (p=0.000) and total cholesterol 9.76 (p=0.021). Giving propolis and health education are effective for the change of fasting blood glucose, glucose tolerance and total cholesterol. Propolis is potential to use as a pharmacology therapy for prediabetes

Research was carried out in February until June 2015, in a screen house of BalaiBenih, Petobo Sub-district, South Palu, Central Sulawesi. This study was arranged infactorial randomized block design, first factor was the availability of water, consists of 4 levels that were the field capacity, 85% of the field capacity, 70% of the field capacity, and55 % of field capacity. The second factor consisting of two rates of organic matter, namely without bokashi fertilizer andbokashi fertilizer.Every treatment was repeated three times so there are 24 units of experiments.Every unit of experiment consisting of 2 plants so there are 48 populations of plant. The result showed that the application of 70% of field capacity can obtain higher plant andmore younger plant than others treatment at the beginning growth. The application of organic matter seem no effect at the beginning growth. There is no significant difference of the application of organic matter at all the availability of water condition

Introduction: Anemia is a public health problem in developing and emerging countries worldwide. Anemia is defined as an abnormal decrease in the number and size of erythrocytes and the hemoglobin and hematocrit concentrations below normal. In addition to blood (Fe) tablets, one alternative functional food is dates and bee pollen, which can increase hemoglobin and erythrocyte levels. Objective: To assess the difference in changes in erythrocyte index before and after the intervention between the group-administered combination syrup (dates and bee pollen) and the group-administered date syrup. Method: This experimental study employs a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 26 female adolescents with anemia who were taken using a total sampling technique, 13 in the date syrup and 13 in the combination syrup (dates and bee pollen). Data were analyzed using Paired T-Test, Independent Sample T-Test, Wilcoxon Test, and Mann-Whitney Test. Results: The combination syrup (dates and bee pollen) affected the increase in erythrocyte index (MCV, MCH, MCHC) in anemic female adolescents, with a pre-post significance value of P<0.05

This study aimed to determine the effect of this application usage on parental knowledge improvement, and the differences in knowledge based on parents' education and occupation background using this application. This research was carried out in the working area of ??the Wolio Health Center, Baubau City, during March - April 2021, by a combination of Research and Development (R&D) and Quasi-experimental methods with one group pretest - posttest design. About 95 parents who have adolescent daughters (aged 10-20 years) were involved. The intervention was given on the same day by first being given a pretest and then being given an intervention using the KESPRO PEDIA educational application for ±30 minutes, continued by a posttest. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. This study indicated that the use of android-based women's reproductive health applications could increase parental knowledge by 89.5% (P<0.01). There was an increase in parental knowledge about women's reproductive health at every level of education, especially high school/vocational education, by 51.6% (P<0.01). Meanwhile, it also increased the parental knowledge about women's reproductive health at each occupational status, dominated by parents who did not work, by 68.4% (P<0.01)

The physiological parameters included in the Modified Early Obstetric Warning Score (MEOWS) table have been selectively selected so that they cover all the standard observations in the NEWS table with the addition of several parameters that are specifically. The population in this study were all pregnant women who were in RSIA Siti Khadijah I Makassar and RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the shock index and the incidence of shock (p=0.418). The difference in frequency between the shock index and the incidence of shock in the ICU was 1 patient who was pregnant. Based on shock index with high and low categories did not differ significantly (p=0.418). The data also shows that the frequency of pregnant women who are in shock is higher, namely 44 people (57.9%) compared to those who are not in shock, namely 32 people (42.1%). There was no significant difference between the shock index and the incidence of shock (p=0.112). The difference in frequency between the shock index and the incidence of shock in the ICU was 5 patients with pregnant women. Shock frequency based on the MEOWS index was not significantly different (p=0.112)

This study aimed to design a reproductive health application in improving teacher knowledge about adolescent reproductive health as an android-based learning medium and analyze the behavior of assessing an android-based reproductive health application assessment. This research was conducted at Public Junior High School 4 Baubau, Public Junior High School 3 Baubau, and Public Madrasah Tsanawiah (an Islamic Junior High School)Baubau, using a combined method, Research and Development (R & D) and pre-experimental (one group pre-test and post-test design). Educational applications were developed and validated using R & D (Research and Development) developed by Borg and Gall. The pre-experimental research design (one group pre-test and post-test design) determined the improvement in school teachers' knowledge before and after obtaining the educational applications. About 56 teachers were involved as samples by the purposive sampling technique. Later, the data were statistically analyzed by the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. There was a difference in knowledge before and after reproductive health education applications (p-value <0.05). Based on learning subjects, science teachers had better knowledge than non-science teachers. Thus, it can be concluded that reproductive health education applications could improve school teachers' knowledge
