Raw Data
This file contains the raw data used for generating all results for the manuscript. There are 6 sheets: Morphology contains the morphometric data for the hind limb and muscles for each individual; EMGdata contains all EMG variables used for analyses; HindlimbAngles contains all kinematic data of hind limb joint angles; HindlimbVelocities contains all kinematic data of hind limb joint angular velocities; ForceData contains values of potential force calculated for bursts and strides for each individual; and Force-LengthCurves contains the twitch force-length curves for the gastrocnemius muscles of each individual

Foster and Higham 2014 - public video files
This excel file contains the filenames of all video files related to the content of the accompanying manuscript. Information related to the treatment and number of strides in each video are also included. Please contact the authors for access to the videos
Sample video 2
Lepomis macrochirus capturing evasive prey (success), 33 frames, recorded at 500 fp
Detailed information on data collection and methods from Non-uniform evolutionary response of gecko eye size to changes in diel activity patterns
This electronic supplementary material provides additional details on data collection and phylogenetic comparative methods
mat files
This zipped file contains 62 .mat data files, one corresponding to each experiment of the study. each mat file contains detailed data describing the kinematics and mechanics of a gecko foot during each pull
Sample video 1
Lepomis macrochirus capturing evasive prey (success), 33 frames, recorded at 500 fp
Representative joint angles for the forelimb (A and B) and hind limb (C and D) and sums of interdigital angles (IDA) for the small perch diameter inclined at 90° (A, C and E) (speed = 0.71 ms-1) and the broad perch at 0° (B, D And F) (speed = 1.13 ms-1) of the same individual.
<p>The shaded regions (A-D) indicate the stance phase and solid vertical lines (E, F) indicate the end of stance phase for the forelimb (blue) and hind limb (pink). The x-axis represents the fraction of the stride. For joint angles, smaller values along the y-axis indicate greater flexion.</p
