    Work accident happened on labor loading and unloading Dock in Tanjung Perak Surabaya City is the result of unsafe behavior and unsafe conditions in the workplace. Based on the data of Co-operative management loading/unloading labor Tanjung Perak Surabaya in 2013 occurred 27 cases of accidents and increases in the next year by 2014 happened 35 cases of work accident. The results of the accident data is obtained it is known that the main cause of occurrence of accidents by the year 2013-2014 because there are still many loading/unloading labor that do unsafe act while working. This research aims to analyze the factors that are associated with unsafe behavior at loading/unloading labor Dock Jamrud Tanjung Perak in Surabaya. This research is quantitative research with cross sectional design research that was carried out in April-May 2015. Research results known from the 70 respondents, 47 respondents behave is not secure and 23 respondents behave safely. Regulatory factors and work environment is a factor associated with behavioral safety. Environmental regulations and the respective work place has significant (p-value: 0.00) and unsafe behavior loading/unloading labor in Jetty Jamrud Tanjung Perak in Surabaya. Based on the research results, it is recommended in the management of cooperatives loading/unloading labor Tanjung Perak Surabaya service users with various parties of labor and unloading to mutually cooperate to make a good rule K3 and creating a safe working environment for our workforce loading fit so hopefully can lead to a change in the behavior of labor safety and unloading of unsafe being safe Key Words: Behavior, Safety Regulations, Equipment, Loading/Unloading Labo

    THE INFLUENCE OF NURSE’S INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIP ON PERIOPERATIVE PATIENT’S FAMILY UNCERTAINTY BASED ON HILDEGARD PEPLAU’S THEORY

    Nurse who is able to develop positive relationship with client can help to reduce uncertainty directly associated with high emotional distress, anxiety and depression by providing opportunity to patient to develop alliance, communication and acceptance. The purpose of the study was to analyze the influence of nurse’s interpersonal relationship on perioperative patient's family uncertainty. The study used analytical design with cross sectional approach and involved 42 respondents of total family members who underwent perioperative’s procedures using simple random sampling technique. The study conducted in Central Surgical Installation Unit (CSIU) at District Hospital in Jombang, East Java, from May to July 2015. The independent variable of the study was nurse’s interpersonal relationship while the dependent variable was perioperative patient's family uncertainty. The result of the study showed that nurse’s interpersonal relationship has been in good criteria (52,4%) and perioperative patient's family uncertainty has been in mid level (50%). The result of regression analysis showed the value of probablity 0,000 which was smaller than the value of alpha (a) 0,05 meant there was significant influence between nurses’s interpersonal relationship on perioperative patient's family uncertainty with regression model formed as follows, uncertainty (y) = 96.316-2,231 x interpersonal relationship (x). The percentage influence of interpersonal relationship on uncertainty was 38,9%. The conclusion of the study stated there was significant influence between nurses’s interpersonal relationship on perioperative patient's family uncertainty with regression model formed as follows, uncertainty (y) = 96.316-2,231 x interpersonal relationship (x)

    HOPELESSNESS EXPERIENCE PATIENTS OF TRAUMATIC SPINAL CORD INJURY (SCI) SURVIVORSIN JAVA TRIBE, A STUDY OF PHENOMONOLOGY

    Hopelessness is a negative assessment towards result to be achieved and powerlessness against an expectation. Hopelessness can occur in traumatic spinal cord injury survivors because of disability due to neurological deficit and a long time in healing. This condition can lead to mental disorders or emotional or act of suicide. Therefore the description of the experience of hopelessness traumatic spinal cord injury survivors discussed in the study using descriptive phenomenology qualitative research to 6 participants. The result showed seven main themes: (1) Physical changes as result of the response of hopelessness, (2) Response of lost as the stressor of hopelessness, (3) Dysfunction process of the family, (4) Loss of meaning in life, (5) Support and self motivation as a source of coping to face hopelessness, (6) Spiritual value behind hopelessness traumatic spinal cord injury survivors and (7) Have a better life. The study suggests the development of nursing care standards of hopelessness and provision for family support and also family psychoeducation for traumatic spinal cord injury survivors

    Number of work accidents that occurred are still quite high and cause major losses. The behavior of the workers should be improved in an attempt to prevent workplace accidents and to support safety in the workplace. The behavior of workers divided into three domain, which consists of knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP). KAP measurements identify what is known and done by workers and how the theirs attitude in performing their daily work.The aims of this study were to determine the level of KAP of safe behavior and to indentify the relationship between knowledge, attitude, practice safe behaviors of workers.Data obtained by conducting interviews and distributing questionnaires to 41 workers in West Assembly unit at PT. XYZ. The contingency coefficient was used to calculate the strength of the relationships among variables. The results of this study showed that there is a moderate relationship between knowledge and the the attitude of safe behavior (R: 0,405), the very low relationship between knowledge and action of safe behavior (R: 0,042), and attitude and practice of safe behavior (R: 0,087).The conclusions of this study are the workers knowledge and attitude of safe behavior is quite good but the practice of safe behavior need some improvement. The suggestion of this research is to provide skills and safety training. The management also needs toincreasesafety supervision.     Effectiveness of Diabetes Self Management Education Against Type 2DM patients Independence in Managing Diet Disease In General Hospital Jombang

    Diabetes mellitus has been the cause of 4.6 million deaths. In addition, health expenditure for diabetes mellitus has reached 465 billion USD. Complications experienced by patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus that causes the sufferer to experienced independence in regulating dietary patterns. Ketidakmandirian patients in managing the diet due to a lack of knowledge and lack of motivation in self-care. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of Diabetes Self-Management Education to independence type 2 diabetic patients in managing the diet.This research is an experimental Pre. Research Design One group pre-post-test design. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling with 30 samples. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance value ofα=0.05. Pre-test results showed that almost all respondents (80%) or 24 samples in the category of partial care. While the post-test results showed that the majority (56.7%) or 17 respondents in the category of minimal care. The aim in this research was to develop a model of Caring behaviors Based Quality Of Nursing worklife and Self-Concept of nurses in nursing care in hospital. Methods: The method used was a survey, using designs explanatory, using questionnaires and observations of nurses, samples used were 71 nurses Hospitals in Probolinggo. This study consists of a variableexogenous variables, namely nursing quality of worklife, and selfconcept and endogenous variables that Behaviours caring nurse. This research. UsingData Analysis Smart PLS. Findings: The results showed that 1) Quality Of Nursingworklife effect on Caring Behaviors, 2) Quality Of Nursing worklife effect on Caring Behaviors Nurses, 3) Quality Of Nursing worklife affect the Self-Concept Nurses, 4) Self-Concept has an influence on Caring Behaviors Nurse, 5) Quality Of Nursing worklife and Self-Concept Caring nurse affect the behaviors of nurses in nursing care.     An Overview of The Causes of Work Accidents in the Komodo's Bite Workers in Komodo National Park

    Work accident which occurred in workers at Komodo National Park is a Komodo dragon bite work accident. According to Genesis, the Komodo dragon's bite of the year 2009-2014 12 cases had occurred in the Komodo dragon bite of the Komodo National Park. The conditions of the lack of fences between komodo with humans aimed at maintaining the authenticity of the wildlife habitat of the Komodo dragon komodo can lead to attacking and biting the workers. This research aims to find out the cause of the accident bite komodo. This research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Informant this research consisted of workers who had ever been bitten by Komodo dragon and the Head of the Section Management of Komodo National Park. This research was conducted during January 2015 in Resort Loh Buaya Komodo National Park. Results of the study known direct cause of unsafe behavior i.e. a wayward workers in the use of the personal protection equipment (PPE) and wayward against SOP rules and regulations as well as the condition is not as safe as the condition of the guard post in the absence of a security door and the condition of the track is still natural. In addition the existence of indirect causes, namely the provision of PPE that has not been adequate, the lack of a work safety and health training, supervision has not been effective, as well as a communications SOP that has not been effective.     The Roles of Organizational Commitment in Mediating the Effects of Big Five Personality on Worker’s Adherence to Occupational Safety SOPs

    The incidence of work accidents in the construction industry particularly in Indonesia and generally in international shows an increasingly worrying trend given that either quantitatively or qualitatively the number of work accidents is very large compared to that of other industrial sectors. The main causing factors are mostly due to the workers’ behavior. This study aimed to determine the roles of organizational commitment in mediating the effects of Big Five Personality on workers’ adherence to occupational safety SOPs. The study belongs to observational analytic type with cross sectional study design. The study involved 140 samples taken randomly from workers at manufacturing department of PT. Boma Bisma Indra Pasuruan, East Java. The measurement of personality used five factor model (FFM) questionnaire of Costa & McRae. Hypothesis testing applied inferential statistical analysis. The  statistical method used was Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results showed that Organizational Commitment had lower roles in mediating the effects of Big Five Personality on workers’ adherence to occupational safety SOPs compared to that Big Five Personality in directly influencing the workers’ adherence to occupational safety SOPs at PT.     Eating behavior control model in obese adolescents based on individual beliefs and ideal body image

    Background: Obesity epidemic has become a public health issue in Indonesia, particularly among children and adolescents. Research on the eating behavior control model, especially on individual belief and ideal body image among Indonesian adolescents, is limited. Objective: To develop a model of eating behavior control in obese adolescents based on individual belief and ideal body image. Materials and Methods: Data collected from 120 obese Indonesian adolescents aged 14–18 years in five senior high schools were used. Questionnaires and interviews were used to assess individual characteristic, belief, ideal body image, and social support. Model on eating behavior control was assessed using partial least square. Result: Individual belief through perceived threat, the threat of weight gain and the potential threat of a disease, leads to improved eating behavior control in obese adolescents. Ideal body image, consisting of appearance, evaluation, orientation, satisfaction, anxiety, and perception, can enhance good eating behavior. Conclusion: Favorable eating behavior of obese adolescents is affected by individual beliefs and ideal body image. Health educators should consider this issue with young people to develop strategies and intervention more relevant and appropriate
