    In numerical control, there are five reference angle points in machining of workpart surface that be done at the time of determining zero setting of cartesian scale. This process can be classified as surface milling work and cylinder milling work. In generally, workpart machining processes begin using flat end-cutter tools that is fixed with wide of surface machining like make simple of clamp direction with drive surface on reference points and check surface on processing plan of workpart geometric. This paper use two approaches based on geometric differential and analytical theory, namely (a) left hand offset or G54 and (b) tight hand offset or G55 from reference angle points of workpaart on drive surface. This application describes how to make tools exchange algorithm on CNC milling programming based on final point of tools at workpart machining processes.     The absence of the hand causes the disruption of organ function, this problem later emerged prosthetic as a tool for replacement of missing body parts. Basically prosthetic hand has two function: as cosmetics and as a functional tool. The most important functional aspects of prosthetic hand is the ease of operation that can be seen from the magnitude of tensile force required by prosthetic hand while doing the a movement. The mechanism of motion system that is widely used by prosthetic hand is a cross cable system and cross bar system. Cross cable system using cable to connect components that act as link knuckles on hand, when the withdrawal event of the cable happenend, the cable will be tightened and the movement of the fingers may occur. Cross bar systems uses bar (rigid link) as a puller, so when withdrawal event of the rope at the end of the lever happened, the bar that connects the components with a finger lever puller will push or pull bar so that the finger will open or close. Prosthetic design significantly influence the magnitude of the dynamic tensile strength that makes it necessary to make an experiments to compare the design of motion mechanisms of cross able systems and cross bar system, and evaluate the influence on the magnitude of the dynamic tensile force at the time of movement, so it can represent the natural movement of normal human fingers

    PT. RMC, a company based on make to order which producing ready mixed concrete has not applied a certain ordering method yet. Giving letter of delivery and job-mix to logistics department close to production execution time make logistics department cannot determine requirement of material. Beside that, logistics department works based on work instrument and manual recording so that there are still found many problems which effect on pile up or shortage. It needs a method which can provide the decision about material ordering time and quantity so that result minimum total inventory cost. The method is developed as Decision Support System (DSS). It uses Material Requirement Planning concept (MRP) with daily phased. Determining economic ordering lot size uses static Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) with safety stock (SS). DSS determine Q order if inventory decrease until reach Reorder Point (ROP). With DSS, input and edit data become easier than before. In validation, the proposed method is compared with the current method that result the total inventory cost of proposed method lower than current method.     Method of Selecting Gloves Based on Pressure on The Palms Using A Measuring Instrument with A Force Sensing Resistor

    Assembly is a common activity in manufacturing companies. The use of handtools during assembly creates pressure on the palms surface which can lead to injury. To reduce the risk of injury, operators need to use gloves as personal protective equipment. Regardless of the general function of the glove, the type of glove tends to be chosen specifically for each task. But there is no specific method to determine the right gloves for certain activities. It is important to know the effect of using gloves on the palms surface during work activities. So this study aims to design a measuring instrument that can determine the pressure on the palm surface during activities by wearing gloves. This is done in order to be able to choose the right gloves for assembly. The result shown that during assembly the areas on the palms receive different pressure. Areas of the palms that receive the greatest pressure are the distal phalanx, and proximal phalanx on the index, middle, ring and little fingers. Pressure on the palms surface differs depending on the type of glove used. This may be due to the thickness of the glove, the thinner the glove, the greater the pressure on the palms surface. Assembling the chair using leather gloves has the lowest pressure value compared to other gloves. The pressure value on the palms surface when wearing leather gloves during the assembly of the chair is 262.15 N, 40% lower than the assembly without using gloves

    Program Studi Teknik Industri Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta (PSTI-UNS) adalah Sarjana Penyedia Pendidikan Teknik Industri dengan visi untuk menjadi penyedia pendidikan teknik industri yang memiliki reputasi internasional untuk mendukung peningkatan daya saing industri nasional. PSTI-UNS harus memiliki kompetensi dalam memberikan pengalaman belajar kepada siswa untuk mewujudkan visi mereka. Pengalaman belajar dapat diberikan dalam konsep pembelajaran pabrik. Learning factory adalah konsep pembelajaran dalam suatu sistem atau proses di lantai produksi yang diadopsi dan disesuaikan untuk mencapai tujuan proses pembelajaran. Penerapan konsep learning factory learning telah diterapkan di PSTI-UNS melalui penerapan praktikum terintegrasi dengan nama Praktikum Desain Rekayasa Industri (PTI). Dalam pelaksanaan praktikum PTI di PSTI-UNS, dukungan implementasi di laboratorium dan pengadaan alat peraga laboratorium masih belum memberikan deskripsi proses pengalaman belajar untuk mencapai hasil pembelajaran. Kurangnya dukungan implementasi dapat dilihat pada praktikum PTI 3. Proses pembelajaran di PTI praktikum 3 mencakup desain sistem kerja, sistem produksi, sistem kualitas, dan basis data dalam hal jalur perakitan manual. Proses perakitan tidak dapat menggambarkan aliran proses produksi di lantai produksi di perusahaan. Proses merancang alat peraga dilakukan dengan menggunakan konsep pengembangan produk dari Ulrich dan Epinger (2015). Meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang penerapan pembelajaran desain sistem kerja dan sistem produksi berubah secara signifikan. Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa dari pengujian komparatif dua sampel meningkat 155% setelah proses perakitan dilakukan dengan alat peraga stasiun kerja

    The implementation of practicum chair assembly training in PPTI 2 still uses conventional method training. The use of conventional methods has some drawbacks including high resource requirements when starting out and requires an experienced coach who should always be there whenever there is training. The use of conventional methods in the training of practicum chair assembly is considered less effective. There needs to be other alternatives in practicum chair assembly training. The alternative chosen is training using Virtual reality (VR).  This paper contains a comparison between training using conventional methods and using virtual reality. That proves training uses VR more effectively than training with conventional methods

    Desain Low-Cost Anthoropomorphic Prosthetic Hand Menggunakan Sistem 4-Bar untuk Penyandang Cacat Amputasi Tangan

    Ketersediaan prosthetic hand lokal di Indonesia masih sangat sedikit, apalagi dari jenis fungsional yang mampu melakukan gerakan-gerakan dasar pemegangan. Para penyandang cacat amputasi tangan tidak memiliki pilihan lain selain prosthetic hand buatan luar negeri yang berharga mahal. Biaya mahal tersebut pada dasarnya berasal dari teknologi tinggi yang di terapkan, khususnya pada sistem kendalinya. Ironisnya, kebutuhan prosthetic hand dari tahun ketahun terus meningkat. Untuk menjawab permasalahan ini maka penelitian terhadap desain low-cost anthropomorphic prosthetic hand perlu dilakukan. Dalam hal ini, pada tahap pertama, yang menjadi sasaran adalah aspek geometri desain dan material. Konsep sistem 4-Bar 1 DOF akan diterapkan karena dari hasil penelitian pendahuluan konstruksi ini menunjukkan karakteristik anti colapse, konsumsi daya yang rendah, dan sistem yang lebih reliabel. Penelitian ini merupakan lanjutan dari penelitian-penelitian tentang pengembangan desain prosthetic hand yang dilakukan oleh Laboratorium Perencanaan dan Perancangan Produk, Jurusan Teknik Industri UNS dengan tujuan mendapatkan desain yang anthropomorphic namun dengan harga yang terjangkau. Formulasi geometri desain prosthetic dibuat berdasarkan anthropometri tangan manusia dengan kriteria kemiripan dengan gerakan penggenggaman. Optimisasinya menggunakan metode Simplex dengan bantuan simulasi komputer untuk mendapatkan kombinasi panjang link sistem 4-Bar yang menghasilkan gerakan 1 DOF paling mendekati gerakan natural tangan manusia pada saat penggenggaman. Pemilihan material menggunakan Strategi Pemilihan Material dalam Desain Mekanik dengan reduksi alternatif menggunakan constrain fleksibilitas, machinability, dan ketersediaan material dalam kondisi reuse. Hasil penelitian tahap pertama ini adalah seluruh panjang link optimum untuk jari maupun ibu jari. Selain itu, dari hasil proses pemilihan material diperoleh PVC reuse dari sisa pipa air dan talang plastik. sebagai material yang paling sesuai untuk link prosthetic tangan dari segi fungsi, proses, maupun bentuk
