Comparative Study between Rectangular Windows and Circular Windows Based Disparity-Map by Stereo Matching

Stereo matching is the basic problem to achieve human like vision capability to machines and robots. Stereo vision researches produced many local and global algorithms for stereo correspondence matching. There are two popular methods one is rectangular window-based cost aggregation another is circular window-based cost aggregation used for solving correspondence problem have attracted researches as it can be implemented in real time using parallel processors. In this paper we have done comparative study between rectangular windows and circular windows based disparity map by stereo matching. Motivated by human stereo vision, the technique uses to enhance the strategy of finding the best match to compute dense disparity map. Performance of the both method is efficient

    MAC Spoofing Detection Via Wireshark

When computers are, connect on any network a network card is used, known as NIC card which is having a MAC address. This address is use to distinguish one system from another we may say that it is the physical address given by the manufacturer to provide a unique identity to equipment. We have studied that MAC address is permanent and cannot be changed but there are different ways in which MAC address of equipments could be changed whether it is a pc/laptop or mobile. We could use wire shark to know the changed MAC address of any system for which the packet is been send or received. The change in MAC is called MAC spoofing, which is having advantages as well as disadvantages

Broadband 200-nm second-harmonic generation in silicon in the telecom band.

Silicon is well known for its strong third-order optical nonlinearity, exhibiting efficient supercontinuum and four-wave mixing processes. A strong second-order effect that is naturally inhibited in silicon can also be observed, for example, by electrically breaking the inversion symmetry and quasi-phase matching the pump and the signal. To generate an efficient broadband second-harmonic signal, however, the most promising technique requires matching the group velocities of the pump and the signal. In this work, we utilize dispersion engineering of a silicon waveguide to achieve group velocity matching between the pump and the signal, along with an additional degree of freedom to broaden the second harmonic through the strong third-order nonlinearity. We demonstrate that the strong self-phase modulation and cross-phase modulation in silicon help broaden the second harmonic by 200 nm in the O-band. Furthermore, we show a waveguide design that can be used to generate a second-harmonic signal in the entire near-infrared region. Our work paves the way for various applications, such as efficient and broadband complementary-metal oxide semiconductor based on-chip frequency synthesizers, entangled photon pair generators, and optical parametric oscillators

A two-storage model for deteriorating items with holding cost under inflation and Genetic Algorithms

A deterministic inventory model has been developed for deteriorating items and Genetic Algorithms (GA) having a ramp type demands with the effects of inflation with two-storage facilities. The owned warehouse (OW) has a fixed capacity of W units; the rented warehouse (RW) has unlimited capacity. Here, we assumed that the inventory holding cost in RW is higher than those in OW. Shortages in inventory are allowed and partially backlogged and Genetic Algorithms (GA) it is assumed that the inventory deteriorates over time at a variable deterioration rate. The effect of inflation has also been considered for various costs associated with the inventory system and Genetic Algorithms (GA). Numerical example is also used to study the behaviour of the model. Cost minimization technique is used to get the expressions for total cost and other parameters

    Super-Yang-Mills and M5-branes

We uplift 5-dimensional super-Yang-Mills theory to a 6-dimensional gauge theory with the help of a space-like constant vector ηM\eta^M, whose norm determines the Yang-Mills coupling constant. After the localization of ηM\eta^M the 6D gauge theory acquires Lorentzian invariance as well as scale invariance. We discuss KK states, instantons and the flux quantization. The 6D theory admits extended solutions like 1/2 BPS `strings' and monopoles.Comment: 15 pages; minor changes, to appear in JHE

    Spin Discrimination in Three-Body Decays

    Get PDF
The identification of the correct model for physics beyond the Standard Model requires the determination of the spin of new particles. We investigate to which extent the spin of a new particle XX can be identified in scenarios where it decays dominantly in three-body decays X→ffˉYX\to f\bar{f} Y. Here we assume that YY is a candidate for dark matter and escapes direct detection at a high energy collider such as the LHC. We show that in the case that all intermediate particles are heavy, one can get information on the spins of XX and YY at the LHC by exploiting the invariant mass distribution of the two standard model fermions. We develop a model-independent strategy to determine the spins without prior knowledge of the unknown couplings and test it in a series of Monte Carlo studies.Comment: 31+1 pages, 4 figures, 8 tables, JHEP.cls include
