In a nuclear power plant, its coolant system is major safety equipment. Coolant system failure causes several accidents in nuclear history. There are so many causes for coolant system failure. One of them is lack of electric power for coolant pumps. In typically NPP there is backup system for power redundancy. In this article, focus on reactor coolant system and its backup power when main grid lines failure. Here discuss about solar backup power for batteries and increases a safety lines for reactor coolant pumps. So, our main goal is providing a battery backup from reliable natural source and ensuring electricity for coolant pumps

This research examine whether there is difference between part time businesswomen and full time businesswomen. The differences examined are in terms of responsibility to the family, work stressor and financial problem. Other than that, this research also examine whether there is discrimination by financial institution in giving loan to women entrepreneurs. Demographic characteristics also have been studied in this research. There are age of respondent, marital duration, number of children, educational background, husband’s occupation, status of involvement, ownership, initial capital, sources of capital, level of business and years in business. There are 70 questionnaires that have been distributed to businesswomen. 62 of the questionnaires that fully completed have been collected with the response rate of 88.5%. Descriptive statistic and independent sample t-test have been used to analyze the data. Analysis shows that there are differences between part time and full time businesswomen in terms of responsibility to family and work stressor. However, in terms of financial problem, study shows that there is no difference between part time and full time businesswomen. From the discrimination issue, this study had probed that there is no discrimination towards businesswomen done by financial institution in managing loan that were requested by businesswomen. This study gives more understanding about businesswomen and can help them plan their own career besides managing their time and contribution wisely in the dual role life. It is also very important to organization that related to women entrepreneur in identifying problems faced by women entrepreneur to plan organization development programmed by considering women needs. This is because the number of businesswomen is increasing every year

Smokers\u27 Characteristics and Cluster Based Quitting Rule Discovery Model for Enhancement of Government\u27s Tobacco Control Systems

Discovery of cluster characteristics and interesting rules describing smokers’ clusters and the behavioural patterns of smokers’ quitting intentions is an important task in the development of an effective tobacco control systems. In this paper, we attempt to determine the characteristics of smokers’ clusters and simplified rule for predicting smokers’ quitting behaviour that can provide feedback to build a scientific evidence-based adaptive tobacco control systems. Standard clustering algorithm groups the data based on there inherent pattern. However, they seldom provide human understandable easy description of the clusters’. Again, standard decision tree (SDT) based rule discovery depends on decision boundaries in the feature space. This may limit the ability of SDT to learn intermediate concepts for high dimensional large datasets such as tobacco control. In this paper, we propose a cluster-based rule discovery model (CRDM) that builds conceptual groups from which a set of decision trees (a decision forest) are constructed to find smokers’ quitting rules. We also employ a re-labelling of unsupervised cluster (RLUC) approach to determine the characteristics of the clusters. RLUC approach uses re-labelling and decision tree approach to find the characteristics of the smokers’ clusters. Experimental results on the tobacco control data set show that decision rules from the decision forest constructed by CRDM are simpler and can predict smokers’ quitting intention more accurately than a single decision tree. RLUC approach finds text-based characteristics of the smokers’ clusters which are easily understandable for policy makers in the tobacco control systems

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to examine the influence of university experience on the development of entrepreneurial quality among graduate students in Malaysian Public Universities.A conceptual model is proposed and empirically tested where entrepreneurial quality is influenced by university experience. Methodology: A questionnaire survey was administered to 400 students in several Public Universities.Regression analysis as statistical tools was used to analyze the data and test the hypotheses that entrepreneurial quality is impacted by the university experience. Findings: The postulated relationships were found supported by the data. The research found that university experience has significant and positive impact on entrepreneurial quality among graduate students in Malaysian Public Universities. Implication: The study is particularly useful for Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education as well as the Malaysian Public Universities by identifying advantages university experience among students in Malaysian Public Universities. This paper is hoped to give valuable reference to the parties to consider the university in order to prepare for the young generation in the future

A New Dimension of Entrepreneurial Marketing and Key Challenges: A Case Study from Pakistan

    Get PDF
Purpose- Numerous studies have explored entrepreneurial marketing (EM) activities in the firms that are established for a few years, but the research exploring the EM activities and challenges, particularly during the start-up phase, is scant. To cover this wide gap, the current study explores in-depth the EM activities and EM challenges faced during the start-up phase by a graduate entrepreneur who has exposure to both marketing and entrepreneurship education and practical EM experiences. Design/Methodology- In-depth case study approach has been adopted to study an SME owned and managed successfully by a graduate entrepreneur. Findings- After rigorous data analysis, in addition to the currently known seven EM dimensions, this study has discovered a new EM dimension, i.e., ‘legitimation’. Moreover, the key EM challenges in emerging economies are also identified. Practical Implications- The results have guided future entrepreneurs regarding their investment decisions, and to the entrepreneurship education policymakers regarding pedagogical up-gradation

Entrepreneurial Marketing Theory: Current Developments and Future Research Agenda

    Get PDF
Purpose- Entrepreneurial Marketing (EM) research has progressed rapidly over the last decade due to its effectiveness in highly competitive markets and uncertain conditions. However, the theory development in the EM domain is inadequate as yet. Due to this, the higher education institutions are also using outdated curricula to teach EM, as the new theories contribute towards the development of curricula. Thus, to assist in upgrading the EM curricula, we have examined the theory development over the last decade in the domain of EM. Design/Methodology- A systematic and in-depth review and analysis of over a decade’s EM literature has been done. Findings- Five major yet specific gaps are identified, and accordingly, we have proposed future research directions

Correlation between timing of surgery and post-operative outcome in traumatic acute subdural hematoma

Background: The timing of surgery in acute subdural hematoma affects post-operative outcomes and is a modifiable factor, along with other variables, impacting patient prognosis following surgical intervention. Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted at department of neurosurgery, Dhaka Medical College Hospital from March 2020 to August 2021. Total 64 patients were included in this study. Data were collected by using preformed data collection sheet. Timing of surgery of all patients documented. Outcome was measured according to the Glasgow outcome scale (GOS) at discharge and at one month following surgery. Statistical analysis was performed by SPSS (version 25). To determine correlation, Spearman’s correlation coefficient test was done. Result was considered significant when p value <0.05. Results: Most of the patients were adult with mean age 48.3±10.6 years. Male were predominant (76%). Majority of cases (67%) were operated within 4-24 hours of injury. Overall mortality was 32.8% and favorable outcome (GOS 4, 5) was 39%. The time from injury to operative evacuation of the acute subdural hematoma in regards of outcome, such as morbidity and mortality, had statistically significant negative correlation. Significant negative correlation was also found between timing of surgery and post-operative Glasgow coma scale. Conclusions: Significant negative correlation was found in terms of GOS with timing of surgery, which had potential influence on post-operative GCS of patients of ASDH who were operated. It was seemed that early surgery may improve post- operative GCS and GOS.
