    Quadsim Version 2.1 Student Manual

Quadsim is an intermediate code simulator. It allows you to "run" programs that your compiler generates in intermediate code format. Its user interface is similar to most debuggers in that you can step through your program, instruction by instruction, set breakpoints, examine variable values, and so on. The intermediate code format used by Quadsim is that described in [Aho 86]. If your compiler generates intermediate code in this format, you will be able to take intermediate-code files generated by your compiler, load them into the simulator, and watch them "run." You are provided with functions that hide the internal representation of intermediate code. You can use these functions within your compiler to generate intermediate code files that can be read by the simulator. Quadsim was inspired and greatly influenced by [Aho 86]. The material in chapter 8 (Intermediate Code Generation) of [Aho 86] should be considered background material for users of Quadsim

Development of a DC-DC buck boost converter using fuzzy logic control

A fuzzy controller of DC-DC Buck-boost converter is designed and presented in this project. In order to control the output voltage of the buck-boost converter, the controller is designed to change the duty cycle of the converter. The mathematical model of buckboost converter and fuzzy logic controller are derived to design simulation model. The simulation is developed on Matlab simulation program. To verity the effectiveness of the simulation model, an experimental set up is developed. The buck-boost circuit with mosfet as a switching component is developed. The fuzzy logic controller to generate duty cycle of PWM signal is programmed. The simulation and experimental results show that the output voltage of the buck-boost converter can be controlled according to the value of duty cycl

Multivariable proportional-integral-plus (PIP) control of the ALSTOM nonlinear gasifier simulation

    Get PDF
Multivariable proportional-integral-plus (PIP) control methods are applied to the nonlinear ALSTOM Benchmark Challenge II. The approach utilises a data-based combined model reduction and linearisation step, which plays an essential role in satisfying the design specifications. The discrete-time transfer function models obtained in this manner are represented in a non-minimum state space form suitable for PIP control system design. Here, full state variable feedback control can be implemented directly from the measured input and output signals of the controlled process, without resorting to the design and implementation of a deterministic state reconstructor or a stochastic Kalman filter. Furthermore, the non-minimal formulation provides more design freedom than the equivalent minimal case, a characteristic that proves particularly useful in tuning the algorithm to meet the Benchmark specifications. The latter requirements are comfortably met for all three operating conditions by using a straightforward to implement, fixed gain, linear PIP algorithm

The extent of practice of distinguished students at the secondary level of exams management skills and its relationship to some variables

The study aimed at identifying the extent of distinguished students' practice of the skills of exams management and their relationships of the variables of (sex and type of school) at the secondary stage. The descriptive approach was followed to investigate practice the level of the skills of exams management of the population of the study and its sample consisting of (96) male and female students in the first scientific secondary class in king Abdullah The Second school for Distinction at Irbid First Directorate, compared with (96) distinguished students at public school in the same directorate. The results showed that the practice level for the instrument as a whole was high, and there were statistically significant differences at (Ī± = 0.05)Ā  that could be attributed to sex to the advantage of females and differences attributed to (school type) to the advantage of (public schools), and that there is a positive relationship with the collection. Cascading Randomized Weighted Majority: A New Online Ensemble Learning Algorithm

With the increasing volume of data in the world, the best approach for learning from this data is to exploit an online learning algorithm. Online ensemble methods are online algorithms which take advantage of an ensemble of classifiers to predict labels of data. Prediction with expert advice is a well-studied problem in the online ensemble learning literature. The Weighted Majority algorithm and the randomized weighted majority (RWM) are the most well-known solutions to this problem, aiming to converge to the best expert. Since among some expert, the best one does not necessarily have the minimum error in all regions of data space, defining specific regions and converging to the best expert in each of these regions will lead to a better result. In this paper, we aim to resolve this defect of RWM algorithms by proposing a novel online ensemble algorithm to the problem of prediction with expert advice. We propose a cascading version of RWM to achieve not only better experimental results but also a better error bound for sufficiently large datasets.Comment: 15 pages, 3 figure

An Analytical Study of the Modernism and Contemporary Values in the Developed Communication Skills Books Taught in Grades Third Cycle for Basic Stage

    Get PDF
This study aimed to investigate arranges of include communication skills text books modernism and contemporary value, and is there experience sequins, and the study tried to determine the orientation behind this concentration. A list of values included 10th modernism and contemporary values.Content analysis was used as a tool in collecting data, and the sentence was choosing as a unit in the analysis. Frequencies and percentages of the include values were computed. Validity and reliability procedures were done to obtain objective result. As a result of this study the following values had the most concentration: Creative Technology encouragement, responsibility, and being self and internal control. The least concentration values were: environment care, Health care, Achievement work respect, and Time usufruct. And there isn't an experience sequin in text books. That means the methodology of these books is not clear, and moreover it shows that the values weren't the main purpose. The study recommended that books for basic stage to include these values. Curricle developers, researchers and teachers to benefit from the obtained results of this study. Keywords: Communication Skill, Third Cycle, Modernism An Contemporary Value

    Invertible Ideals and Gaussian Semirings

    Get PDF
In the first section of this paper, we introduce the notions of fractional and invertible ideals of semirings and characterize invertible ideals of a semidomain. In section two, we define Pr\"{u}fer semirings and characterize them in terms of valuation semirings. In this section, we also characterize Pr\"{u}fer semirings in terms of some identities over its ideals such as (I+J)(Iāˆ©J)=IJ(I + J)(I \cap J) = IJ for all ideals II, JJ of SS. In the third section, we give a semiring version for the Gilmer-Tsang Theorem, which states that for a suitable family of semirings, the concepts of Pr\"{u}fer and Gaussian semirings are equivalent. At last we end this paper by giving a plenty of examples of proper Gaussian and Pr\"{u}fer semirings.Comment: Final versio
