In the Spanish University progressively we can find more handicapped students, which boost the investigation on their problematic. This article has the aim or purpose to know the personal/sociolabour obstacles found in twenty-nine disabilities students the University of Granada. The paper, specifically, tries not only to fix the profile, but also to determine the formative necessities, to identify the difficulties encountered, and to analyze the influence of the personal relationships in the process of sociolabour insertion. In order to achieve this goal we used a scale of I.D.E.O (2003). The data permit to conclude that these students demand more information on job-seeking strategies and training in new technologies. The section of the personal relationships reveals the existence of a positive and exciting University context. Although these data are interesting, we must indicate the heterogeneity of the disabled population, facing different obstacles of different nature that have to surpass in a differential way
This research focused on the influence the personal relations, such as those that are
generated in the family context, in the university students. The scope of application is
confined to a sector of university population from Granada with physical and/or sensorial
disability, integrated by 29 students, of age superior to the 24 years, residents in capital
Granada. In order to achieve this goal we used a scale that revealed in the section of
the interpersonal relations the existence of a positive and protector family context. The
data, although amply coincident with the scarce studies made by other authors, suggest
the necessity to investigate and carry out specific studies with this objectives, because
the family becomes the most effective psychological and didactic stimulus of the people
with disability throughout her development
Fan-delta slope deposits and sequences in the Murcia-Carrascoy Basin (Late Neogene, S.E. Spain)
Tortonian sedimentation in the Betics records a major tectonic event, the
largest orogenic defonnation of the cordillera. superimposed on the largerscale,
lhird-order TB 3.2 cyc1e of eustatic sea-level change. A first intetpretation
of the Sequence Stratigraphy oí the Murcia-Carrascoy basin is presented.
Uplift of positive feliefs around the basin favoured the deposition of thick
successions of conglomerates evidencing cannibalism. Facies associations
witness deposition on the steep slope of a basin, fed by mountain rivers that
supplied coarse sediments to the basin. The resulting fan delta is comparable
in many respects to those described in fjords, and a depositional model is
presented.
The cooperative ESG disclosure index: an empirical approach
Growing concern about Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance is pushing businesses, including social economy enterprises such as cooperatives, to seek solutions for Sustainable Development (SD) challenges. This study explores the current landscape of ESG reporting by Spanish cooperatives, adding to the limited knowledge about their sustainability disclosure practices. We propose a specific framework for these entities based on non-financial indicators as a preliminary step to develop an index for ESG reporting, the Cooperative ESG Reporting Index (COOPESG). In terms of methodology, the first step is to create an ad hoc database of primary data sourced through the analysis of cooperative websites. Then, by reviewing the indicators reported by these companies, these primary data are then used to develop an index. Our findings show that only half of the sampled cooperatives have a specific section on their website for ESG reporting. Regarding formats, Codes of Ethics were the most frequent type of report used, followed by the publication of information on SDGs. In terms of content disclosed, the social and governance blocks stand out, while the least information is disclosed on the economic and environmental blocks. Furthermore, there is evidence of a size and sector effect on the disclosed content. All this provides valuable insights for scholars and practitioners alike. Thus, the main practical contribution of this paper for cooperative managers is that it supports the effective disclosure of ESG in line with prevailing good practice, addressing emerging social regulation in the context of the European Union. Also, for academia this study offers a practical breakthrough in the analysis of this subject, helping to fill the gap on cooperatives found in the ESG reporting literature and setting a new research agenda
The Role of Gamified Environmental Interpretation in Boosting Destination Perceived Value
This study examines the effectiveness of a strategy designed to enhance destination perceived value (PV) by raising tourists’ awareness and understanding of sustainability. The approach uses information and communications technologies—specifically, gamification—to design an environmental interpretation (EI) program for tourists. While the literature has tended to approach gamification from a systemic perspective, this study addresses a significant gap by adding the experiential dimension. The research (a) designs an EI program based on a holistic gamified approach that takes game objectives, features, the context of the application, and the participant experience into consideration; (b) measures the tourist’s perspective on the design to test whether it successfully generated a motivating and enjoyable (gameful) experience that could positively impact their behaviours; and (c) determines whether a gameful EI experience positively influences destination PV. The results show that the proposed strategy contributes to enhancing destination PV. The gamification of EI experiences is thus found to be a valid strategy for enhancing destination sustainability, tourist behaviours, and, ultimately, destination competitiveness.Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad from Spain (Research Projects ECO2015-65306-R)
Motivations for social and environmental reporting in Spanish SMEs: An inductive content analysis
This study aims to add to the knowledge on the motivations driving SMEs in Spain to
engage in voluntary social and environmental reporting (SER). We apply inductive
content analysis to information sourced from interviews with SME owner-managers,
complemented with CEO letters. While the paper confirms that there are several co existing motivations for SER in SMEs, inconsistencies are identified between the
information disclosed in the two aforementioned sources. Overall, stakeholder
engagement seems to be the most important motivation for reporting. Contrary to
what the literature to date has shown about the relevance of SME owner-managers'
personal values when it comes to disclosing social and environmental information,
our findings suggest that individual beliefs and values are not the main factor driving
SER. Results also show industry and firm size are determinants of motivations for
SER. The study thus contributes to the literature on this underexplored topic by pro viding insights into the motivations for SER in SMEs. An understanding of these moti vations is pivotal to help policymakers focus their efforts on implementing
appropriate institutional reforms in this emerging field
Age, educational level and gender in self-concept of people with retinitis pigmentosa
Brand personality in cultural tourism through social media
Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of social media on the perception of
brand personality and to identify its effect on customer brand engagement.
Design/methodology/approach: The study adopted an exploratory approach, adapting Aaker's
Brand Personality Scale (1997) to the context of cultural tourism before carrying out a
quantitative study resorting to a structural equation modeling (SEM) in order to obtain empirical
evidence to identify these relationships.
Findings: The findings reveal that the use of social media has a positive effect on the perception
of brand personality and that brand personality, likewise, has a positive effect on customer
brand engagement.
Research implications: This study indicates that transmission of an attractive brand
personality according to the desires of the public, combined with dissemination through social
media, is a valid strategy to improve customer brand engagement.
Originality/value: This study represents an advance in the specialized literature on the value
that consumers place on information transmitted through social media. Specifically, it sheds
light on how the transmission of brand personality through social media affects customer brand
engagement.Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training
