Natural and technogenic components of megalopolis magnetic field
Magnetic storm influence becomes more and more interesting for people. In this article we describe measurable magnetic field data from different megalopolis regions and from the underground passenger transport on the Kyiv city example. There were five observation points evenly situated among the city, and one metro route with direct and reverse direction movement. Collected information shows general situation with magnetic noise in populous cities. Smartphones are very popular today so we have used one of them as a budget magnetometer in our research.Β

A complex analysis of the magnetic inhomogeneity of the entire crustal section is performed in conjunction with the available geological and geophysical data on the prediction of migration paths of deep hydrocarbons and their accumulation in the upper part of the crystalline basement and sedimentary cover. The results of laboratory studies of the magnetic susceptibility and density of the sedimentary cover and the crystalline basement rocks from 8 wells drilled in the northwestern part of the DDA, within the boundaries of which the Chernihiv segment is located, are presented to establish the connection with the structure-formation complexes of the sedimentary cover, as well as with the hydrocarbons probable routes of passage and places of accumulation.Intervals with decompressed rocks having increased values of magnetic susceptibility in five wells were identified. These intervals can be hydrocarbons passing markers, as partly evidenced by the appearance of fluids on the squares adjacent to Borznyanskaya, Stroyevskaya and Zorkovskaya wells. It is confirmed that the isolated zones within the boundaries of the sedimentary cover are associated with magnetic sources in the crystalline basement, as well as with deep margin faults of the DDA and tectonic suture Kherson-Smolensk, which makes it possible to consider them as promising on hydrocarbons, and the faults themselves as supply channels. The established regularities of changes in the magnetic susceptibility and density, as well as the results of experimental studies of genetic connection of increased values of magnetization with migration paths and accumulation of hydrocarbons in combination with other geological and geophysical data, are proposed for use as local forecasting features for oil and gas content which complement regional forecasting criteria.ΠΡΠΏΠΎΠ»Π½Π΅Π½ Π°Π½Π°Π»ΠΈΠ· ΠΌΠ°Π³Π½ΠΈΡΠ½ΠΎΠΉ Π½Π΅ΠΎΠ΄Π½ΠΎΡΠΎΠ΄Π½ΠΎΡΡΠΈ Π²ΡΠ΅Π³ΠΎ ΡΠ°Π·ΡΠ΅Π·Π° Π·Π΅ΠΌΠ½ΠΎΠΉ ΠΊΠΎΡΡ Π² ΠΊΠΎΠΌΠΏΠ»Π΅ΠΊΡΠ΅ Ρ ΠΈΠΌΠ΅ΡΡΠΈΠΌΠΈΡΡ Π³Π΅ΠΎΠ»ΠΎΠ³ΠΎ-Π³Π΅ΠΎΡΠΈΠ·ΠΈΡΠ΅ΡΠΊΠΈΠΌΠΈ Π΄Π°Π½Π½ΡΠΌΠΈ ΠΎ ΠΏΡΠΎΠ³Π½ΠΎΠ·ΠΈΡΠΎΠ²Π°Π½ΠΈΠΈ ΠΏΡΡΠ΅ΠΉ ΠΌΠΈΠ³ΡΠ°ΡΠΈΠΈ Π³Π»ΡΠ±ΠΈΠ½Π½ΡΡ

A review of the studies results of paleomagnetic applicability of Precambrian crystalline rocks of the Ukrainian Shield.
The review of the data has been conducted of the long-term laboratory methods of studies of stability and origin of natural remanent magnetization (NRM) of Precambrian crystalline rocks of the Ukrainian Shield (USh). Generalization of the data gives weighty arguments for considering the Precambrian rocks of the Ukrainian Shield as promising objects for paleomagnetic studies. Statistical analysis has been made as to directions of NRM in exposures different by their age, composition and origin of crystalline rocks of the USh. It has been found that everywhere within the limits of the Ukrainian Shield in the exposures with magnetically stabile single-component magnetization of thermoremanent origin (according to laboratory and mineralogical criteria) NRM directions in contemporary coordinate system are distributed heterogeneously and are characterized by considerable dispersion. The most probable source of dispersion of NRM vectors within the limits of considered exposures of crystalline rocks of the USh is local tectonics, which produced reorientation within the area of the surface of initial magnetization of rocks
Magnetic characteristics and fault tectonics of the earth's crust of the Shebelina group of gas fields as a component of the complex search criteria of hydrocarbons
It has been shown that gas deposits and gas-bearing structures of the Shebelynka area are controlled by the regional and local sources of magnetic field (ΞΠ’)a location as well as the fracture-blocky tec-tonics. This is the fundamental conclusion that is justified by a set of theoretical and experimental elaborations and analysis of anomalous magnetic field, regional magnetic model, theoretical mod-els of oil-gas-bearing structures, the faults systems and oil and gas-bearing capacity of the Earthβs crust. On the base of latest data on oil and gas-bearing collectors in the crystalline basement of the northern slope of depression and on the results of the magnetic modeling it was suggested that the confinement of deposits to the area of deep magnetic formations and to the faults of different types regurded as the ways of hydrocarbons migration may be the evidance of their inorganic origin. Confinement of deposits to local magnetic anomalies with sources in sedimentary rocks may be considered as a criterion for the hydrocarbons organic origin. A possibility of a Β«combinedΒ» gen-esis of hydrocarbons when deposits of organic origin are βsuppliedβ by deep fluids over zones of deep-seated faults as oil-gas-transporting channels was discussed. The unique Shebelynka deposit apparently belongs to such a kind of deposits
DAILY AND SHORT-PERIOD CHANGES DYNAMICS OF THE EARTHβS MAGNETIC FIELD IN THE 24-TH CYCLE OF SOLAR ACTIVITY ACCORDING TO MAGNETIC OBSERVATORY "ODESSA"
The Registration of Bx, By, Bz - vector components of the Earth's magnetic field, with a time resolution in 1 second is carried out on magnetic observaΒtory " Odessa". . Results of calculated module of a full vector of magnetic field variations for 2008-2010 are analyzed. "The quasi-daily period" of solar dynamics is determined by wavelet analysis. The daily period and the spectra of shorter duration periods are substracted by digital filtering method. In consequence of the recieved data magnetic storm time specifications are shown
Magnetic susceptibility of the rocks of the northwestern part of the Dnieper-Donets basin
Laboratory studies of a three-dimensional magnetic susceptibility from 8 boreholes drilled in north-western part of the Dnieper-Donets Depression were studied for the first time. Average magnetic susceptibility values for each bore-hole and its variability character were investigated. Essential spatial heterogeneity of this value of the region was revealed. Bore-holes with maximal average magnetic susceptibility values of the rocks occur at the depression margin and near magnetic anomalies. % investigations of dry and gasoline-saturated samples in heating process were studied. Experimental study displays different kind of magnetic susceptibility behaviour in dependence on its primary values and rocks composition
Magneto-mineralogical characteristics, classification and use of natural magnetic sands
Magnetic sands are a new object of studies due to possibility of their utilization in many branches of national economy. Experimental magneto-mineralogical studies have been performed for the samples of sand from the Black Sea region, Russia and Egypt which made possible to determine mineralogical composition, magnetic susceptibility of rocks, Curie isotherm etc. Analysis of composition of natural magnetic sands and their magnetic parameters has shown a possibility of their utilization as filling material for filters of water purification
Deep sources of regional magnetic anomalies: tectonotypes and relation with transcrustal faults
Dual nature of deep sources of regional magnetic anomalies has been considered. First, tectonotypes of deep sources are rift and subduction-obduction zones of the Earthβs crust, specified by its saturation with products of magmatic activity of basic and average composition under favorable thermodynamic and oxidation-reduction conditions for realization of iron as ferromagnetic minerals. Secondly, these are zones of trans-crustal faults in geodynamic regime of the Earthβs crust extension with wide development in their deep parts of diffusion and fluid processes with re-crystallization of ferruginous minerals into ferromagnetic varieties
Microscopic survey of the Great Belsky Settlement Scythian time, Poltava region
Micromagnetic observations have been carried out on the territory of Great Belβsk ancient settlement of VIIβV centuries B.C. (after academician B. A. Rybakov it is hypothetically the city of Gelon). Their purpose was to map and to identify local archeological objects. The mapping and the interpretation of induction module anomalies of ΠΠ° geomagnetic field and its vertical gradient dΠΞ/dr allowed to reveal and to identify as well as to study inner structure of Western Hillfort, Lysovyi Kut, the banks, the stoves and the tumuli of different types including the ones demolished during farm works. The same is the greatest of revealed tumuli β βSkoroborβ with the diameter of 100 m.Β Close to the range of tumuli as well as alone the Western fortification banks it was discovered the stretched-out magnetic anomalies of one-, two- and three-circled forms. The excavations of these objects revealed its correspondence to the stoves. Chemical and mineralogical research permitted to suppose that they were being used to burn a saltpeter in XVIβXVII centuries
