    Pembentukan akhlak mulia sangat penting bagi mewujudkan personaliti unggul berlunaskan syariat Islam. Memandangkan setiap manusia mempunyai sifat dan tingkah laku personaliti yang berbeza maka, adalah perlu untuk kita menghalusi seterusnya meneliti isu berkaitan personaliti manusia yang pelbagai. Sehubungan itu, kertas kerja ini membincangkan konsep, kunci dan sumber personaliti menurut perspektif Islam. Realitinya kecetekan dan kurang pemahaman berkaitan trait personaliti sehingga menjadikannya jengkel dalam diri setiap individu telah mengakibatkan wujudnya pelbagai masalah hubungan dan interaksi dalam konteks kehidupan seharian. Oleh itu, keupayaan dalam mempraktikkan trait personaliti yang konsisten berdasarkan lunas Islam adalah menjadi petanda aras pada suatu penghasilan kerja yang positif. Malah dengan memahami konsep personaliti berpandukan perspektif Islam, kita dapat menikmati kehidupan di dunia dengan lebih baik selain menjadikan hubungan dengan Allah SWT sebagai pecipta semakin rapat, kuat dan kukuh untuk menuju ke alam akhirat yang hakiki nanti

    This study aims to explore the attitude and knowledge specifically the local halal industry towards the commitment for halal standard practice in Malaysia. Due to its importance, the second revised manual procedure for halal certificates (2011) has asserted that any halal industries that seek for halal certificate need to have an internal halal committee represented by various other units in the organization. The objective of the study is to determine the extent of attitude and knowledge influence the practice of halal commitment standard by the management in fulfilling the requirement of sharia compliance and the manual for certification procedure 2011 (second revision) (JAKIM, 2012) and Malaysian standard 1500: 2009 (Jabatan standard Malaysia, 2009). This study used cross-sectional survey method using questionnaire for the purpose of obtaining relevant information. The subject of the study consists of internal halal executive officer in Malaysia according to seven main scheme categories which are products, restaurant, tools, pharmaceutical product, slaughter-house, logistic, brushes, and bones. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS statistics software version 24.0. The results of the study have shown that; i) Only aspects of attitude affect the practice of halal standard commitment (halal operation) and ii) attitude and knowledge influence the practice of halal standard commitment (halal guarantee).This study will be the basis for management authority in an organization to identify the attitude and leadership knowledge which are needed to influence the commitment for halal standard practice in an organization since they are the pioneers for ensuring the standard of an organization is achieved on the optimum level

    Pengaruh aspek kecerdasan emosi terhadap tingkah laku kepimpinan transformasi dalam kalangan pemimpin pendidik sekolah

    Tujuan kajian adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh faktor kecerdasan emosi (skala pengurusan perhubungan, pengurusan diri, kesedaran diri dan kesedaran sosial) ke atas tingkah laku kepimpinan transformasi dalam kalangan pemimpin pendidik sekolah menengah di Malaysia. Kaedah kajian ini menggunakan dua alat instrumen iaitu Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI) untuk mengukur kecekapan kecerdasan emosi manakala Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ5x) pula digunakan bagi mengukur kepimpinan transformasi. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan kecerdasan emosi pemimpin pendidik secara keseluruhannya adalah berada pada tahap tinggi iaitu 78.8%. Hasil kajian juga menunjukkan kecerdasan emosi bagi sub-skala pengurusan perhubungan menjelaskan sebanyak 51.6% varians; (Beta = .388, t = 4.738, k < 0.05) manakala pengurusan diri pula menerangkan sebanyak 54.1% varians; (Beta = .225, t = 3.285, k < 0.05) dan akhir sekali, kombinasi ketiga-tiga pemboleh ubah peramal merangkumi kesedaran sosial menyumbang sebanyak 54.9% (Beta = .174, t = 2.268, k < 0.05) varians secara positif terhadap kepimpinan transformasi. Dapatan ini memperlihatkan ketiga-tiga sub-skala pembolehubah ini adalah peramal yang signifikan ke atas kepimpinan transformasi. Implikasi kajian menunjukkan bahawa penyediaan latihan dan modul penghayatan kemahiran EI perlu diperkasa dan diperkukuhan seterusnya melestarikan pemilikan kecekapan tersebut secara holistik di semua peringkat khususnya dalam kalangan pemimpin

    Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti hubungan bagi trait personaliti dengan prestasi kerja dalam kalangan pemimpin pendidik di Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi (SBT). Dua set soal selidik telah digunakan dalam kajian ini iaitu soal selidik Five-Factor Model of Personality (NEO PI-R) bagi mengukur personaliti dan soal nselidik prestasi kerja bagi mengukur prestasi kerja individu telah dijalankan ke atas 306 pemimpin pendidik (89%) di 15 buah SBT di Malaysia. Analisis korelasi Pearson menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara trait personaliti seperti kehematan (Conscientiousness (r=.740, p<.05), keterbukaan (Openness to experiences (r=.419, p<.05), ekstraversi (Extraversion (r=.596, p<.05), kesetujuan (Agreeableness (r=.386, p<.05) dengan prestasi kerja. Analisis kajian juga telah mempamerkan dengan meletakkan kepentingan dimensi kehematan (Conscientiousness) sebagai domain yang paling kuat berhubungan dengan prestasi kerja berbanding dimensi yang lain. Dari sudut praktikal, penggunaan pemboleh ubah psikologi dan pemilikan hubungan trait personaliti berupaya untuk memperkasakan lagi prestasi kerja sehingga memberi kebaikan kepada institusi pendidikan SBT kerana dapat meningkatkan lagi kualiti perkhidmatan mereka

    Generally psychology of religion is one of the branches of scientific research and mental processes involving the religious elements of an individual. Unfortunately, the understanding of this concept is very lacking in society when every element of religious psychology is mixed in the discussion.The purpose of this paper is to understand the extent to which the influence and position of a religion can influence an individual's behavior and mental processes through systematic exploration. Therefore, the methodology used in this study is a qualitative method through a library study with reference to theses, journals, newspapers and even scientific books that are related to the subject of the study. Based on the analysis conducted, the author found that there are several issues that need to be highlighted 1) the scope and scope of the use of religious psychology, 2) the basis and function of religious psychology and 3) the methodology and evaluation of religious psychology. Exploring and understanding of aspects of religious psychology is an important basis to be improved to a more optimal level is seen as a meaningful contribution and thus bring the implications of the study when the exploration of scope, policy and evaluation can be carried out properly

    Malaysia telah meletakkan namanya di pesada antarabangsa melalui pengiktirafan yang diberikan dengan menduduki tempat pertama daripada 15 negara dalam status hab halal bagi tiga sektor penting iaitu makanan halal, kewangan dan pelancongan berlandaskan prinsip Islam berasaskan laporan State of The Global Islamic Economy 2015/2016. Malah eksport produk halal juga telah mencecah RM43 bilion berbanding jumlah pasaran produk halal dunia yang dianggarkan sebanyak AS6.4 trilion (kira-kira 26.67 trilion) pada tahun 2018. Oleh kerana peningkatan yang begitu ketara, maka penulisan ini bertujuan untuk memahami sejauh mana pelaksanaan pensijilan halal di Malaysia, cabaran dan potensinya sebagai hab halal. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah kaedah kualitatif melalui kajian keperpustakaan dengan merujuk kepada tesis, jurnal, akhbar dan juga buku-buku ilmiah yang mempunyai kaitan dengan tajuk kajian. Berdasarkan analisis yang dijalankan penulis mendapati dua isu utama yang dapat dirumuskan iaitu (1) sistem MYeHalal dan (2) potensi serta keupayaan Malaysia sebagai hab halal telah diulas dalam penulisan kertas konsep ini

    Emotional intelligence, personality and self esteem: a comparison of the characteristics among two categories of subjects

    The main objective of this cross-sectional study is to determine the differences characteristic between volunteers and non-volunteers in terms of emotional intelligence, self-esteem and personality based on four dimension aspects of personality such as psychoticism, neuroticism, extraversion and lie. Three sets of questionnaire to measure Emotional Intelligence, Self-Esteem and Personality were administered to 276 subjects. One hundred and sixty eight of them were volunteers and one hundred and eight were non-volunteers. Findings showed that there was no significant difference between volunteers and non-volunteers in term of emotional intelligence (t=0.13, p>0.05). As for self-esteem, there was a significant difference between the two groups, it was showed that the non-volunteers scored lower than volunteers in self-esteem, (meaning a higher level of self-esteem) (t=2.67, p<0.05). In term of personality as for psychoticism dimension, it was found a significant differences between these two group (t=9.72, p< 0.05) indicated that volunteers have high in psychoticism scores (tough minded people) than non-volunteers. Whereas, in extraversion there was no significant difference between these two groups. However, volunteers have higher Lie scores than non-volunteer in personality that showed a significant differences between them (t=2.34, p<0.05). Moreover, for neuroticism, it was found a significant differences between these two group which indicated that volunteers have lower Neuroticism scores than non-volunteers (t=-4.70, p< 0.05). The results also showed that emotional intelligence was moderately correlated with neuroticism, psychoticism, and extraversion. The results seem to suggest that people are in volunteer organizations due to having the required personality. It is not the case that voluntary activities act as a channel of their personality. However, on a practical note the assessment of personality in voluntary workers could possibly assist in enhancing for screening potential voluntary workers in order to ensure the effectiveness these services to the society

Malangnya fenomena jenayah kolar putih, kecuaian melaksanankan tugas dan tanggungjawab dalam kebanyakkan bidang kian meluas dan kerap kali berlaku sehingga menimbulkan kegusaran pihak tertentu. Maka sebab itulah kepentingan moral dan etika pengurusan dalam setiap sektor awam dan swasta dirasakan kian penting untuk difahami, dihayati dan diamalkan. Oleh itu artikel ini menjelaskan mengenai konsep moral dalam pendekatan Islam dan Barat. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah kaedah kualitatif melalui kajian kepustakaan yang merujuk kepada tesis, jurnal, akhbar, dan buku yang mempunyai kaitan dengan tajuk kajian.     This study aims to identify the relationship between personality traits and job performance among educator leaders in High Performance Schools (HPS). Two sets of questionnaires were used in this study, namely questionnaire Five-Factor Model of Personality (NEO PI-R) for measuring personality and instrument of job performance for measuring the performance of individual work. These questionnaires were distributed to 306 head teachers (89%) in 15 HPS in Malaysia. Pearson correlation analysis showed a significant positive correlation between personality traits such as Conscientiousness (r = .740, p <.05), Openness to experiences (r = .419, p <.05), Extraversion (r = .596, p <.05), Agreeableness (r = .386, p <.05) with performance. The study also demonstrated by putting the interests of conscientiousness dimension as the most powerful domain associated with job performance compared to other dimensions. However, different traits play different roles in relation to job performance. Keeping in view the implications of personality traits towards job performance among school personnel as leaders, findings of the present research can help to improve overall organizational behaviour and productivity resulting in optimum service delivery to the stake holders within educational system in Malaysia
