Das Kolonisationsgeschehen auf den jungen Nordseeinseln Memmert und Mellum am Beispiel der Zikaden: (Hemiptera, Fulgoromorpha et Cicadomorpha)

The colonisation process of Auchenorrhyncha on the North Sea dune islands of Memmert and Mellum. – A decade after our first study an inventory control of the Auchenorrhyncha fauna on the North Sea dune islands of Memmert and Mellum was made in 1994 and 1995. On both islands the assessed species number has remained nearly constant. On Memmert 12 species were recorced as new, among them two new records for the chain of East Frisian islands. For Mellum there were 10 new records. With a rate of 18 and 20 %, respectively, the species turnover is low compared to other arthropod groups. These findings are mostly due to temporary colonist species. The remaining part can be assigned to changes in habitat parameters (particularly an increase in shrub growth) or flaws in the sampling. However, a stochastic species turnover in terms of the equilibrium theory cannot be substantiated

Key for the identification of the nymphs of the leafhopper subfamily Idiocerinae in Germany: (Hemiptera: Cicadomorpha, Cicadellidae, Idiocerinae)

For the first time, a key for the identification of the nymphs of the leafhopper-subfamily Idiocerinae is presented for the German fauna. Dichotomous keys lead to the 9 genera and most of the 25 species. The identification is supported by more than 60 drawings, thereof habitus drawings of all species.Erstmalig werden Bestimmungsschlüssel für die Larven der in Deutschland vorkommenden Arten der Zikaden-Unterfamilie Idiocerinae vorgelegt. Anhand detaillierter dichotomer Schlüssel sind damit sämtliche 9 Gattungen und die meisten der 25 Arten bestimmbar

Among the extensive arthropod material collected from 1932–1946 by Fritz and Richard Struve on the North Sea island Borkum are also psyllids which were, at the time, identified by W. Wagner. This information was published by Struve (1939). A large part of the psyllid collection is still preserved today. We revised the available material and provide here a list with details on collecting date and site as well as plant. The spatial distribution of the psyllid species on Borkum is discussed

Zur Zikadenfauna von Trockenrasen-, Küstendünen-, Salzwiesen- und Moorstandorten in der Umgebung von Schwerin (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern): (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha)

Im Rahmen der 21. Mitteleuropäischen Zikadentagung in Mueß bei Schwerin (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Deutschland) wurden Sammelexkursionen in ausgewählte Trockenrasen-, Küstendünen-, Salzwiesen- und Moorstandorte in der Umgebung von Schwerin durchgeführt. Insgesamt konnten in diesen Gebieten 134 Zikadenarten nachgewiesen werden, davon 52 Arten der Roten Liste. Die Zikadenarten Doratura exilis Horv. 1903 und Kelisia minima Rib., 1934 waren neu für das Gebiet um Schwerin. Leafhoppers and planthoppers of selected dry grasslands, coastal dunes, salt marshes, peat bogs and fens in the vicinity of Schwerin (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha). – On the occasion of the 21th Central European Auchenorrhyncha meet- ing 2014, held from 11 until 14 July 2014 in Mueß/ Schwerin (Germany), field excursions to selected dry meadows, coastal dunes, salt marshes, peat bogs and fens in the vicinity of Schwerin (Mecklenburg) were made. In total, 134 species including 52 species of the Red List of Germany were recorded. Most remarkable were Kelisia minima Rib., a rare species mostly confined to saltmarshes and known worldwide only from about 10 localities, Macropsidius sahlbergi (Fl.), a species that became almost extinct all over central Europe during recent decades and which was closely associated with ants on the Petersberg, Psammotettix maritimus (Perr.), which was new to the whole Baltic Sea region, and Doratura littoralis Kuntze, a rare and localized endemic of the southern Baltic coast. Another remarkable species is Cosmotettix evanescens Oss. which was recorded not on this excursion, but in 2011 in the Grambower Moor. This species was formerly only known from southern Sweden and southern Finnland.&nbsp

Kritische Artenliste der Zikaden der Schweiz: (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha)

Eine kommentierte Liste aller für die Schweiz gemeldeten Zikadenarten wurde zusammengestellt. Es wurden nur publizierte Daten berücksichtigt; zusätzlich werden 10 Arten hier zum ersten Mal für die Schweiz gemeldet: Hyalesthes luteipes Fieber, Calligypona reyi (Fieber), Kelisia confusa Linnavuori, Xanthodelphax flaveola (Flor), Macropsis haupti Wagner, M. remanei Nickel, Erythria cisalpina Dworakowska, Euscelis distinguendus (Kirschbaum), Metalimnus steini (Fieber) und Proceps acicularis Mulsant & Rey. Die Artenliste der Schweiz zählt aktuell insgesamt 561 bestätigte Arten (davon wurden allerdings rund 40 nicht mehr in den letzten 50 Jahren nachgewiesen). Zusätzlich wurde eine Liste mit insgesamt 173 weiteren Arten erstellt, die geografisch und ökologisch zu erwarten sind. 17 Arten aus der Literatur wurden wegen Fehldetermination oder taxonomischer Probleme nicht in die Liste aufgenommen

Zur Zikadenfauna des Landschaftsschutzgebiets „Königswald mit Havelseen und Seeburger Agrarlandschaft“ bei Seeburg (Brandenburg): (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha)

Im Rahmen der 20. Mitteleuropäischen Zikadentagung in Berlin (Deutschland) wurde eine Exkursion in das Gebiet bei Seeburg (Landkreis Havelland, Brandenburg) organisiert. Hier werden die Ergebnisse der Aufsammlungen von 9 Teilneh-mer(inne)n präsentiert, die insgesamt 56 Zikadenarten nachwiesen. Mit Ausnahme von einer Art (Edwardsiana stehliki) waren alle nachgewiesenen Arten bereits für die Region Berlin bekannt. Die 56 Arten machen etwa 17% der Zikadenfauna von Berlin und Umgebung aus.Contribution to the Auchenorrhyncha fauna of the landscape reservate „Königswald mit Havelseen und Seeburger Agrarlandschaft“ near Seeburg (Brandenburg) (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha). – On the occasion of the 20th Central European Auchenorrhychna mee-ting in Berlin (Germany) a field excursion to an area near Seeburg (Berlin-Staaken) was organized. Auchenorrhyncha and Psylloidea collected during the 25th Central European Auchenorrhyncha meeting, Arnhem, The Netherlands (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha and Psylloidea)

Die 25. Mitteleuropäische Zikadentagung fand vom 14.-17. September 2018 in Arnheim in den Niederlanden statt. Da es die erste Tagung in den Niederlanden war, wurden Sammelexkursionen in fünf typische niederländische Landschaften unternommen. Drei der Exkursionsziele befanden sich in neu geschaffenen Schutzgebieten, die sich auf ehemals landwirtschaftlich genutzten Flächen befinden. Die beiden weiteren Exkursionsziele waren alte, geschützte Heideflächen. Insgesamt konnten 117 Zikadenarten und 6 Psylloidea-Arten nachgewiesen werden. Drei Arten waren neu für die Niederlande: Macrosteles spinosus (in dieser Publikation vorgestellt), Kybos abstrusus (monophag an Populus nigra) und Macrosteles sardus (an Epilobium hirsutum). Für einige seltene Arten konnten neue Fundpunkte ermittelt werden: Kelisia monoceros, Aphrophora major, Stroggylocephalus agrestis, Edwardsiana diversa, E. tersa, Fruticidia bisignata, Ophiola russeola und Psammotettix pallidinervis. Durch die drei Neufunde erhöht sich die Anzahl der bislang in den Niederlanden nachgewiesenen Zikadenarten auf 421. Diese Arbeit zeigt zudem, dass selbst in erst seit kurzem bestehenden Schutzgebieten seltene und interessante Arten nachgewiesen werden können. The 25th Central European Auchenorrhyncha meeting took place in Arnhem, The Netherlands on 14-17 September 2018. It was the first time the meeting was held in The Netherlands, and for this reason, excursions were undertaken to five typical Dutch landscapes. Three of the excursions involved newly created nature reserves, located on former agricultural land. The other two were old, protected heathlands. In total, 115 Auchenorrhyncha species, and 6 Psylloidea species were collected. Three species were new for the Netherlands: Macrosteles spinosus (presented in this paper), Kybos abstrusus (monophagous on Populus nigra) and Macrosteles sardus (Epilobium hirsutum). For a number of rare species new occurrences were reported: Kelisia monoceros, Aphrophora major, Stroggylocephalus agrestis, Edwardsiana diversa, E. tersa, Fruticidia bisignata, Ophiola russeola and Psammotettix pallidinervis. Our results show that also in young, newly created nature reserves interesting species can be found.&nbsp

Zur Fauna der Zikaden, Blattflöhe und deren Parasitoide der Alp Flix (Graubünden, Schweiz): (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha und Psylloidea; Diptera: Pipunculidae, Strepsiptera: Elenchidae)

During the 13th Central European Auchenorrhnycha meeting in the Swiss Alps (Alp Flix, Grisons) in August 2006 a total of 75 Auchenorrhyncha species, 29 species of Psylloidea, 2 Pipunculidae (Diptera) species and 1 species of Strepsiptera have been collected. Together with two excursions in 2002 and 2006 a total of 86 Auchenorrhyncha species are reported from the area of Alp Flix. The four auchenorrhynchous species Kelisia sima Ribaut, Muellerianella extrusa (Scott), Aphrodes diminuta Ribaut and Zygina rubrovittata (Lethierry) are recorded here for the first time for Switzerland. One species, viz. Sonronius dahlbomi (Zetterstedt) was rediscovered after a period of more than 100 years.
