The supercuspidal representations of p-adic classical groups

Let G be a unitary, symplectic or special orthogonal group over a locally compact non-archimedean local field of odd residual characteristic. We construct many new supercuspidal representations of G, and Bushnell-Kutzko types for these representations. Moreover, we prove that every irreducible supercuspidal representation of G arises from our constructions.Comment: 55 pages -- minor changes from 1st version (mostly in sections 2.2, 4.2 and 6.2). Evaluation on the Implementation of Procedure in Giving Kur-micro (Kredit USAha Rakyat-mikro) Based on the Prudential Banking Principle (Study at Bank Rakyat Indonesia Malang Kawi)

The objectives of this research are to understanding the procedure in giving KUR-Micro (Kredit Usaha Rakyat-Mikro) that applied in PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero),Tbk Malang Kawi and to evaluate the procedure in giving KUR-Micro (Kredit Usaha Rakyat-Mikro)that applied in PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk Malang Kawi based on prudential banking principle. Type of this research is qualitative research with descriptive approach. Focus in this research are procedure in giving KUR-Micro (Kredit Usaha Rakyat-mikro) and evaluate on the procedures in giving KUR-Micro that applied in PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk Malang Kawi. The results of this research shows, there are some procedures that applied by PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero)Tbk Malang Kawi in giving KUR-Micro (Kredit Usaha Rakyat-Mikro) consist of request of credit, credit analysis, approval of credit, credit agreement, credit disbursement, credit monitoring, and credit repayment. The procedures above have applied well although there are still have the weakness it can be seen in procedure of credit monitoring. PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk Malang Kawi also has applied well the prudential banking principle in giving credit to debtor

Pulling adsorbed polymers from surfaces with the AFM: stick versus slip, peeling versus gliding

We consider the response of an adsorbed polymer that is pulled by an AFM within a simple geometric framework. We separately consider the cases of i) fixed polymer-surface contact point, ii) sticky case where the polymer is peeled off from the substrate, and iii) slippery case where the polymer glides over the surface. The resultant behavior depends on the value of the surface friction coefficient and the adsorption strength. Our resultant force profiles in principle allow to extract both from non-equilibrium force-spectroscopic data.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures; accepted for publication in Europhys. Stereochemistry of carbon nanotubes for electronic applications

Results are presented from studies to prepare carbon nanotubes of single geometry. Carbon nanotubes of certain stereochemistry have been found to be conductive. Others have been found to be excellent transistors, and together nanoelectronic devices have already been formed from them including logic gate circuits. Two synthetic approaches have been tried, namely plasma arcing in the presence of additives and ball milling. In plasma arcing, cathode deposits are altered by the presence of naphthalene in the feed material. The mixture of nanotubes so formed has a larger average void size than that formed in the absence of naphthalene. The results support proposed mechanisms of nanotube formation which involve growth by incorporation of carbon atoms into open tubes. They also show that naphthalene can be directly incorporated into fullerene black and thereby increase the number of hexagonal sheet structures in the carbon deposit. Work so far in ball milling has been confined to studies of the destruction of graphite crystalline phases
