    PCA and Parellel SVM to Optimize the Diagnostic of Breast Cancer Based on Raman Spectroscopy

    Breast cancer is one of the most deadly diseases in the world; therefore, rapid automated detection of breast cancer in patients is a relevant step in initiating appropriate treatment. In this paper we present a method that optimizes the response time in the automated detection of breast cancer in which a Raman signal is classified as coming from a healthy tissue biopsy or a damaged tissue biopsy. To carry out the detection, we applied Multivariate Component Analysis (PCA) in conjunction with a Classifier (Vector Support Machine (SVM)) in Parallel and from this methods we obtained high correct detection rates, corroborated when comparing the results of the classifier against previous tissue classifications performed by an expert pathologist. We believe that our approach can be applied to other organs of the body where timely detection and classification of cancer can be difficult and of prognostic relevance, such as stomach and pancreas, among others

    El diseño del centro de capacitación de labores de la cárcel de máxima seguridad “La Paz” en el municipio de Itagüí en el departamento de Antioquia, presenta una problemática respecto a la reincidencia en la criminalidad de las personas que salen de este centro reclusorio, es por esto que nuestra empresa constructora Wellness busca desarrollar el diseño de un centro de labores para ayudar a la reinserción social de todas estas personas, trayendo consigo mejoras en aspectos económicos, políticos y sociales. Asimismo, el alcance que presenta este proyecto es la creación de una infraestructura tal, que se pueda ejecutar no solo en el departamento de Itagüí, sino también en gran parte de las cárceles de Colombia, contribuyendo a la reducción de las tasas de delincuencia y promoviendo la reinserción social y la creación de empleos, a través de la contribución para el desarrollo del país. Con respecto al diseño de la infraestructura del centro de labores, se presenta un edificio de 6 plantas. 5 superiores y una planta subterránea, donde la primera planta es la que presenta mayor extensión y las otras 5 plantas presentan las mismas áreas, además en estos pisos superiores se presentan los salones en donde se impartirán las diferentes capacitaciones en aspectos de vida laboral, estudios básicos, manualidades y demás. Asimismo, las limitaciones del proyecto principalmente se encuentran en aspectos económicos, ambientales y sociales. Ya que, debido a la situación de contingencia que se está presentando se tiene un riesgo bastante severo, además de los problemas económicos que presenta el país con respecto a la devaluación de la moneda y la problemática de polución que presenta el departamento de Antioquia. Por último, a través del proyecto en cuestión se logró diseñar una edificación y una vía de acceso para esta, los cuales cuenta con estándares certificados por normas colombianas en aspectos como diseño estructural, hidráulica, acueductos y alcantarillados y demás.The design of the labor training center of the maximum security prison "La Paz" in the municipality of Itagüí in the department of Antioquia, presents a problem regarding the recidivism in the criminality of the people that leave this prison, that is why our construction company Wellness seeks to develop the design of a labor center to help the social reinsertion of all these people, bringing with it improvements in economic, political and social aspects. Likewise, the scope presented by this project is the creation of an infrastructure that can be executed not only in the department of Itagüí, but also in a large part of the prisons in Colombia, contributing to the reduction of crime rates and promoting social reinsertion and job creation, through the contribution to the development of the country. With respect to the design of the infrastructure of the labor center, a 6-story building is presented. 5 upper floors and a subway floor, where the second floor is the largest and the other 5 floors have the same areas, also in these upper floors are presented the rooms where the different trainings in aspects of working life, basic studies, crafts and others will be given. Likewise, the limitations of the project are mainly found in economic, environmental and social aspects. Due to the situation of contingency that is being presented, there is a quite severe risk, in addition to the economic problems that the country presents with respect to the devaluation of the currency and the problem of pollution that presents the department of Antioquia. Finally, through the project in question, we were able to design a building and an access road for it, which has standards certified by Colombian regulations in aspects such as structural design, hydraulics, aqueducts and sewers and others
