Destruindo o mito e construindo o homem: revendo Antônio Carlos Gomes

O presente estudo objetiva identificar e discutir dois dos mais relevantes fatores que contribuíram para o declínio da obra e da figura de Antônio Carlos Gomes enquanto compositor – a proclamação da república e a Semana de Arte Moderna. Por meio de análise e reflexão documental exploratória identificam-se a repercussão dos fatores referidos sobre a obra e a figura do compositor. Conclui-se que suas ligações com a monarquia contribuíram para uma indisposição da nova república com sua figura e que a estética européia adotada por Gomes servia, como antítese, às necessidades transformadoras da Semana de Arte Moderna

Research and Science Today Supplement No. 1/2013

RESEARCH AND SCIENCE TODAY is a biannual science journal established in 2011. The journal is an informational platform that publishes assessment articles and the results of various scientific research carried out by academics. We provide the authors with the opportunity to create and/or perfect their science writing skills. Thus, each issue of the journal (two per year and at least two supplements) will contain professional articles from any academic field, authored by domestic and international academics. The goal of this journal is to pass on relevant information to undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students as well as to fellow academics and researchers; the topics covered are unlimited, considering its multi-disciplinary profile. Regarding the national and international visibility of Research and Science Today, it is indexed in over 30 international databases (IDB) and is present in over 200 online libraries and catalogues; therefore, anybody can easily consult the articles featured in each issue by accessing the databases or simply the website

Towards an Advanced Linear International Collider

This document provides detailed information on the status of Advanced and Novel Accelerators techniques and describes the steps that need to be envisaged for their implementation in future accelerators, in particular for high energy physics applications. It complements the overview prepared for the update of the European Strategy for particle physics, and provides a detailed description of the field. The scientific priorities of the community are described for each technique of acceleration able to achieve accelerating gradient in the GeV~range or above. ALEGRO working group leaders have coordinated the preparation of their working group contribution and contributed to editing the documents. The preparation of this document was coordinated by the Advanced LinEar collider study GROup, ALEGRO. The content was defined through discussions at the ALEGRO workshop in Oxford UK, March 2018, and an advanced draft was discussed during a one day meeting prior to the AAC workshop in Breckenridge, CO, USA, August 2018.
