Investigaciones actuales en ligandos de receptores opiáceos
Relevant developments have been achieved in the last twenty years in the search for
opioid agonists and antagonists with selectivity for each receptor subpopulation. Recently,
new benzomorphan derivatives have been synthesized and compounds with substituted
cyclopropylmethyl functionalities at N-l position showed high affinity and selectivity for
K opioid receptor subpopulations. MPCB and CCB were selected as specific K agonists.
The affinity ofCCB was two-fold the USO,488H one. Mixed peptide-heterocyclic compounds
have been derived from these compounds and important informations on binding processes
of K ligands have been obtained.
This work is part of an investigation into the contemporary dynamics of development and modernization in the southern and far southern coastal areas of Chile, specifically the shoreline of the northern part of the Aysen Region. The objective is to propose a theoretical-conceptual reflection to enable ethnographic data to be framed as a problem and interpreted as a function of a political reading which - why not say so? - could transform the world of the southern and far southern coastal zone. The central argument of the text is hypothetical: the dilemmas of development, in the current circumstances of the coasts of the Aysen Region, are susceptible of resolution (at least up to a point) from a conscious, reflexive change of perspective on culture as the word is understood in anthropology.
PRIMARY MALIGNANT FIBROUS HISTIOCYTOMA OF THE MESOCOLON TRANSVERSUM
Primary malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) is a rare and biologically aggressive tumor. Differential diagnosis must include cystic neoplasms of the pancreas (mucinous and serous cystoadenoma or cystocarcinoma), cystic lymphangioma or mesothelioma and retroperitoneal haematoma. Making the right diagnosis preoperatively may be often difficult, but MFH may be suspected when a huge retroperitoneal mass is found at imaging in elderly patients. We report a case of a primary abdominal MFH originating from the mesocolon transversu
