The purpose of this report is to use information provided by a questionnaire survey to analyze the factors and processes underlying the formation of industrial clusters in Japan. The study, based on questionnaire surveys, forms part of an "Industrial Cluster Project". The Japanese government has implemented policies for industrial clusters so as to enable Japanese industries to maintain competitive power in global markets, and to aid the self-sufficient expansion of local industries. The government's project goes under the heading "Industry Agglomeration for the Recovery of Local Industries with respect to so-called "Industry Clusters." The authors aim to identify what expectations are held of government by the enterprises that make up industrial clusters. As part of our investigation, we used the results of a survey conducted by UNDP in 2004. Tsuji's study, published by the Osaka School of International Public Policy, surveyed 1198 small or medium sized manufacturing companies located in O ward, Tokyo and Higashi Osaka city, Osaka prefecture. The outcome of the present study, together with data from Tsuji's work on IT usage by SMEs in Japan, is meant to form the basis for policy design and implementation.Industrial Cluster Policy, Agglomeration, Innovation, IT, Industrial policy, Local industry, Japan

This study was carried out on a series of lecture that includes three times of exercise to improve human relations. On this research it was verified that a change in students thought based on structure of ego did not appear. On the other hand, a slight difference was found with CP of the NA class, NP and A in 5% level.Considerable reason why a significant difference on the whole was not confirmed on this research is small number of exercise execution. As such, improvement of the exercise program is required by the next study

Neuropeptide Y mediates orexin A-mediated suppression of pulsatile gonadotropin-releasing hormone secretion in ovariectomized rats

Objectives : Reproductive functions are influenced by various feeding regulators. Orexin, which is one of orexinergic peptides, suppresses the pulsatile secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) in bilaterally ovariectomized (OVX) rats. However, the mechanism of this effect is still not clear. To investigate whether neuropeptide Y (NPY) is involved in the orexin A-mediated suppression of pulsatile LH secretion, we evaluated the effects of NPY antibody on the suppressive effect of orexin A. Methods : Orexin A was administered intracerebroventricularly (icv) and NPY antibody (NPY-Ab) was injected before icv administration of orexin A in OVX rats. Pulsatile LH secretion was analyzed by measuring serum LH concentrations in the next 2 h in blood samples drawn at 6-min intervals by radioimmunoassay. Results : Administration of orexin A significantly reduced the mean LH concentration and LH pulse frequency. Co-administration of NPY antibody with orexin A significantly restored the suppressive effect of orexin A on the mean LH concentration and LH pulse frequency. Conclusion : NPY mediated the suppressive effect of intracerebroventricularly injected orexin A on pulsatile LH secretion, suggesting that hypothalamic orexin suppressed pulsatile gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) secretion via NPY in the hypothalamus of female rats
