    Introduction: Menarche is the first menstruation that is experienced by adolescents. Fat intake and nutritional status will effect on the age of menarche. High fat intake and nutritional status increase the leptin serum that cause early menarche. The effects of early menarche are obesity, breast cancer, diabetic, and metabollic sindrome. Objective : This study aimed to determine the relationship between fat intake, nutritional status and early menarche status among girls at Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School of Ketelan Surakarta. Methods : The design of this study was case control with subjects were 40 female elementary students that were selected through proportional random sampling method. Fat intake data were collected through 4 day of 24 hour food recall while nutritional status were assessed using BMI/age index. The data were analyzed using Chi-Square test Results : There was 45% students who had high fat intake while 55% normal fat intake. The number of students with normal nutritional status was 35% and those who were overweight was 65%. The number of students with early menarche status was 52,5%. The number of students with high fat intake and early menarche was 42,5%. The student who had fat intake showed the risk to early menarche status (p=0,001; PR= 4,45) than those who had normal fat intake. The student who were overweight showed the risk to early menarche status (p=0,004; PR= 4,00) than those who had normal nutritional status. Conclusion : There were significant relationships between fat intake, nutritional status and early menarche status among student at Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School Ketelan of Surakarta .     Introduction: Nutrition status is a description of the measure fulfilled of nutrition needs obtained from the intake and use of nutrients by the body. The cause of nutrition problems in the babies’ one of them is feeding of food isn’t adequate. Feeding of food are influenced by the level of knowledge parents who will affect the attitude and the behaviorism in the feeding, that will determine the nutrition status of the individual concerned. One of the problems in feeding is more often parents consider the feeling satiety of their child is important rather than the nutritional value of the food. Purpose: Investigate the treatment of giving meal to the nutrient status of the baby under 5 years in Posyandu Menur X Makam Haji Subdistrict Kartasura. Methods: This research is using the Cross Sectional method. The sample is the baby under five years with the distance 12-60 months with the amount 41 baby under five years with Total Sampling technique. The Data of behaviorism feeding were obtained from questionnaire as many as 12 items of question and data is presented as a percentage. Results: As the result of the research, the subject of baby under five years who have innutrient status amount 9 baby (22%) and mallnutrient amount 6 baby (14,6%), the average of bad meals giving are 20 baby (48,8%). Conclusions: Feeding behavior of baby under five years in Posyandu Menur X included in category aqual to 51,2% and nutrient status in normal category equal to 63,41

    Breast milk is the best food for the infant which contains a lot of important nutrients such as lactose, energy, protein and fat. Due to its high beneficial of exclusive breastfeeding, mothers are recommended to breastfeed their infant for the first 6 months of life, which can be continued to 2 years. Exclusive breastfeeding percentage based on health profile data of Central Java Province in the year 2016 was 42.7%, while in Kabupaten Boyolali was 52.63% and in desa Sambi was 40.2%. The data show that the percentage were far from national target. The cause of failure in exclusive breastfeeding is the low level of education and the not so good attitude of the mother. Based on the survey, it was indicated that a lot of mothers education in desa Sambi were considered to be low (Elementary and Junior High School) To determine the relationship between education level and mother’s attitudes to exclusive breastfeeding in desa Sambi, kecamatan Sambi, kabupaten Boyolali. This is an observationd study with Cross-sectional approach. A to total of 60 respondents were recruited using Simple Random Sampling technique. Data on the level of education, attitude of mothers and exclusive breastfeeding were obtained through questionnaire. Data was analysed with chi square test. Most of the respondents (55%) have basic education level and the rest of them have advance education level. Based on attitude of mothers, a total of 34 respondents (56.7%) are considered to have poor attitude whereas 26 (43.3%) respondents are considered as good. 36 respondents (60%) do not give exclusive breastfeeding and as much as 24 respondents (40%) give exclusive breastfeeding. There is a relationship between mothers education level and exclusive breastfeeding with p-value = 0.000 and there is a relationship between mothers attitude with exclusive breastfeeding with p-value = 0.000.     Malnutrition considered a major health problem in Indonesia. This can be generally caused by imbalance of food intake. In adequate complementary feeding (MP ASI), in term of quality and quantity, can affect food intake. Complementary feeding (MP ASI) is very important to note especially in children under two years old (baduta) because it is one of the most critical period. The purpuse of this research is it to determine the relationship between complementary feeding with nutrition status of children under 2 years old in Sidorejo Kidul Village , Tingkir Sub-District, Salatiga City. This is an observational research with cross sectional approach.A total of 65 subjects were recruited using simple random sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Feeding complementary practice data were obtimed using questionare and nutrional status were obtain by measuring weight and height/leght of the subjects data were then analyzed using rangk spearman test. The results show that 84.6% of the subjects have a good nutritional status and 56.9% of the mothers indicate a good complementary feeding practice. 2 It was found that there is a relationship between complementary feeding practice with nutritional status

    Background: uncontrolled diabetes mellitus will to complication that arise such as stoke, hypertension, and heart disease. Blood glucose levels can be controlles either by the attitude of meal planning and carbohydrat inteke. Objektive : to know the relationship of attitude ang carbohydrate intake on blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus. Methods: this study was on observasional with cress sectional approach. Data use attitude questionnaires, the data intake og carhohydrates using 4x24 recall hours are not sequential and for fasting blood glucose levels by looking at the laboratory. Data analysis using persont prodact moment. Results: the pattient’s attitude meal planning is goos enough for (95,5%), carbohydrate intake is sufficient (99,98%)63,6% of the samples had a moderate sttitude meal planning, 63,6% og the samples had a carbohydrate intake of less and 74,5% of the samples have blood glucose levels that are not normal. Based on the results of persont prodact moment, there is no relationship attitude and food intake of carbohydrate on blood glucose levels. Conclusion : there is no relationship attitude about blood glucose levels, there was no association of carbohydrate intake on blood glucose levels. Advice: for patients diabetes mellitus, expected to change attitude of planning to eat the kinds of food fan anything nestling containsimple carbohydrate. For nutritional installation, is expected to improve sevise optimally, especially in educating patients about the management of diabetes mellitus

    Introduction: Karangasem III elementary school is a school with the highest percentage (28.13%) in children malnutrition. One effort to improve the nutritional status is by increasing nutritional knowledge by nutrition counseling. Nutritional counseling is more effective when using media. Objective: Knowing the effects of nutritional counseling by the media videos, posters and quartet card game to the knowledge of nutrition and nutritional status of students in Karangasem III Elementary School Surakarta. Methods: This study is a pre-experimental design with one group pretestposttest programme. Sampling technique using stratified random sampling, total sample is 51 respondents. Media that used in this study are video, posters and quartet card game. Analysis of the data using Kolmogorof Smirnov test and Paired Samples T-Test test. Results: According to the results of Paired Samples T-test test to the nutritional knowledge values obtained p = 0.000 or p <0.05, that means there is an influence, whereas for the nutritional status values obtained p = 0.627 or p <0.05, that means there is no significant effect. Conclusion: There is the significant effect of nutrition counseling using videos, posters and quartet card game on nutritional knowledge of students but there is no significant effect on the nutritional status of students in karangasem III elementary school surakarta. Sugestion: videos, posters and quartet card game can be used as a medium of nutritional counseling and provide a good effect on nutrition knowledge for elementary school student

    Background: Posyandu or Pos Pelayanan Terpadu (Integrated Service Post) becomes essential health service for baby and toddler earliest. However in society, the fact is many people do not take the advantages of Posyandu to monitor their child growth because they are too busy at work as the reason or they do not have time to bring their toddler to Posyandu and lack of knowledge about the importance of child growth monitoring. Objective: The aim of this research is to know the participation relationship to Posyandu towards toddler’s weight gain. Research Method: This research is observational with cross sectional approach. Participation data in Posyandu and weight of toddler is taken directly from the records of toddler’s healthy card (KMS). Data analysis is using Chi-Square test. Result: There is a relation between participation relationship to Posyandu and weight gain with P value is 0,000. Conclusion: Toddler’s mother participation in Posyandu who come routinely is 73 (74.5%) and who does not come routinely is 25 (25.5%) it is seen from the last six months, toddler’s weight gains is 42 (42.9%) and toddler’s weight losses is 56 (57.1%) it is seen from the last three months, there is a relation between participation relationship to Posyandu and weight gain. Suggestion: This research can be information and recommendation for Puskesmas (Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat) or Community Health Center at Polokarto in providing guidance participation to Posyandu and give reference to develop further research related with participation to Posyandu towards toddler’s weight gain.     Tingkat Pengetahuan Gizi Seimbang dan Profil Kesehatan Sopir Bus Antar Kota

    Sopir mengkonsumsi makanan lebih banyak di luar rumah tanpa kontrol dari keluarganya. Apa yang mereka konsumsi sebatas untuk memenuhi rasa lapar. Tidak jarang jenis makanan yang dikonsumsi gizi hanya memberi dampak buruk bagi kesehatannya pada jangka panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan gizi dengan profil kesehatan pada sopirPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional pada 67 sopir Bus yang diambil dengan teknik accidental sampling. Variabel bebas yang diambil adalah pengetahuan gizi, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah profil kesehatan yang diukur dari dua variabel, yaitu status gizi dan status hipertensi. Analisis data statistic disajikan secara deskriptif dan bivariate menggunakan software SPSS. Uji bivariate yang dipakai yaitu rank spearman.Sebagian besar sopir yang aktif bekerja pada usia produktif (83,6%). Sedangkan untuk jam kerja harian, 95,5% lebih dari 8 jam per hari. Sebagian besar sopir memiliki status gizi yang normal berdasarkan indeks massa tubuh (58,2%). Hasil yang negative ditunjukkan pada pengetahuan gizi, status gizi dan kebiasaan merokok yang sebagian besar buruk. Sopir dengan pra hipertensi 65,7%, pengetahuan gizi yang kurang 82,1%, dan sopir yang merokok 73,1%.Tidak ada hubungan antara pengetahuan gizi dengan status kesehatan sopir bus.     Background : Elderly cause physical deterioration that cause osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is condition in which bone density decrease. Calcium is one of the factors that influence the incidence of osteoporosis because calcium is one of minerals that contribute to the bone formation. High sodium intake will affect the calcium metabolism and increase the calcium excretions in urine. Objective : The purpose of this research was to know the relationship between sodium intake with the occurrence of osteoporosis in elderly patients outpatients at RSO. Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Surakarta. Research Method : The research is observational method with cross-sectional approach. The number of subjects was 22 patients obtained by consecutive sampling who met the criteria of inclusion and exclusion. Adequate intake level data retrieval sodium trough semi-quantitative FFQ. Data of osteoporosis obtained from Bone Mineral Density (BMD) examination. Statistical tests used the Rank Spearman. Result : The result showed 72.7% had less sodium intake with average 435.7±329.7 mg. The subject that occur osteoporosis is 54.5% and did not occur osteoporosis is 45.5%. The Rank Spearman test show the value of p=0,557. Conclusion : There is no relationship between sodium intake with the occurrence of osteoporosis. Key Words : osteoporosis, elderly, sodium intak

    Perbedaan Tingkat Asupan Energi, Protein Dan Zat Gizi Mikro (Besi, Vitamin A, Seng) Antara Anak SD Stunting Dan Non Stunting Di Kecamatan Kartasura Kabupaten Sukoharjo

    Pendahuluan: Kelompok anak usia sekolah dasar merupakan anak usia 6-12 tahun yang mempunyai pertumbuhan lambat. Asupan zat gizi yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan anak diantaranya sumber energi, protein, Fe, Vit A dan Zn, jika tidak terpenuhi anak akan tumbuh stunting. Tujuan: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat asupan energi, protein dan zat gizi mikro (Fe, Vit A dan Zn) antara anak SD stunting dan non stunting di wilayah Kartasura, Sukoharjo. Metode Penelitian: jenis penelitian bersifat observasional, dengan 64 responden yang terdiri dari 32 anak SD stunting dan 32 anak SD non stunting. Pengumpulan data pengukuran status gizi anak menggunakan indicator TB/U dan recall 24 jam dengan wawancara. Analisis data tingkat asupan energi, protein, Fe, vitamin A dan Zn dengan uji hipotesis statistik Independen Sampel T Test. Hasil: hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di antara seluruh anak SD stunting, 41% defisit energi, 44% defisit protein, 66% defisit Fe, 34% defisit vitamin A dan, 47% defisit Zn, sedangkan pada anak SD non stunting secara berurutan adalah sebesar 3%, 6%, 28%, 22%, 9%. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara tingkat asupan energi, protein, Fe, Vit A dan Zn pada anak SD stunting dan non stunting dengan nilai (p<0,005). Kesimpulan : Ada perbedaan tingkat asupan energi, protein dan zat gizi mikro (Fe, Vit A dan Zn) antara anak SD stunting dan non stunting di wilayah Kartasura, Sukoharjo
