The Hydrodynamical Limit of Quantum Hall system
We study the current algebra of FQHE systems in the hydrodynamical limit of
small amplitude, long-wavelength fluctuations. We show that the algebra
simplifies considerably in this limit. The hamiltonian is expressed in a
current-current form and the operators creating inter-Landau level and lowest
Landau level collective excitations are identified.Comment: Revtex, 16 page
On the Topological Origin of Entanglement in Ising Spin Glasses
The origin of thermal and quantum entanglement in a class of
three-dimensional spin models, at low momenta, is traced to purely topological
reasons. The establishment of the result is facilitated by the gauge principle
which, when used in conjunction with the duality mapping of the spin models,
enables us to recast them as lattice Chern-Simons gauge theories. The thermal
and quantum entanglement measures are expressed in terms of the expectation
values of Wilson lines, loops, and their generalisations. For continuous spins,
these are known to yield the topological invariants of knots and links. For
Ising-like models, they are expressible in terms of the topological invariants
of three-manifolds obtained from finite group cohomology -- the so-called
Dijkgraaf-Witten invariants.Comment: RevTex4, 6 page
Critical dynamics of nonconserved -vector model with anisotropic nonequilibrium perturbations
We study dynamic field theories for nonconserving -vector models that are
subject to spatial-anisotropic bias perturbations. We first investigate the
conditions under which these field theories can have a single length scale.
When N=2 or , it turns out that there are no such field theories, and,
hence, the corresponding models are pushed by the bias into the Ising class. We
further construct nontrivial field theories for N=3 case with certain bias
perturbations and analyze the renormalization-group flow equations. We find
that the three-component systems can exhibit rich critical behavior belonging
to two different universality classes.Comment: Included RG analysis and discussion on new universality classe
Double Deadbeat plus Repetitive Control Scheme for Microgrid System
Parallel connection of converters is a convenient choice when system capacity is to be increased. Parallel-connected voltage source converters, especially neutral point clamped converters, are one of the best choices for its range. However, with the parallel connectivity, the converter possesses a circulating current in its legs, which consequently threatens the safe operation of the system. To alleviate this circulating current problem, in this paper, a double deadbeat (DD) plus repetitive control (RC) scheme is proposed. The RC scheme is employed to mitigate the circulating currents and the DD loop control scheme is employed to achieve a high operating bandwidth for voltage and current characteristics. Furthermore, the DD loop is associated with an adaptive controlling technique, which adjusts internally by itself and provides better performance for nonlinear loads. The proposed DD method forces the equivalent system elements to be placed outside the closed loop, which does not affect the system stability. Initially, the system has been executed with a conventional proportional + integral scheme and then with the proposed DD + RC scheme. The proposed method is verified by implementing a Simulink model in the OPAL-RT platform. Furthermore, the proposed method is built with a prototype, and its results are explored
Estimation and Comparison of Superoxide Dismutase level in patients with Oral Submucous Fibrosis
The study was conducted to evaluate and compare the levels of antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase(SOD) in blood samples of patients diagnosed with Oral SubmucousFibrosis(OSMF) and their age and sex matched controls and also to compare the SOD levels within the study group between patients with stage I, stage II, stage III and stage IV OSM
Re-appearance of antiferromagnetic ordering with Zn and Ni substitution in La_{2-x}Sr_xCuO_4
The effects of nonmagnetic Zn and magnetic Ni substitution for Cu site on
magnetism are studied by measurements of uniform magnetic susceptibility for
lightly doped La_{2-x}Sr_xCu_{1-z}M_zO_4 (M=Zn or Ni) polycrystalline samples.
For the parent x=0, Zn doping suppresses the N\'{e}el temperature T_N whereas
Ni doping hardly changes T_N up to z=0.3. For the lightly doped samples with
T_N~0, the Ni doping recovers T_N. For the superconducting samples, the Ni
doping induces the superconductivity-to-antiferromagnetic transition (or
crossover). All the heavily Ni doped samples indicate a spin glass behavior at
\~15 K.Comment: 2 pages including 3 figures, to be published in Physica C (LT23,
