LASER DIODE SPECTRUM OF THE BAND OF OZONE
(1) Meeting on High Resolution I.R. Application and Development NBS. Gaithersburg – MARYLAND - U.S.A. (23-25 June 1980)Author Institution:Lines of the band of ozone have been accurately measured in the range . The technique of measurement described elsewhere (1) uses the beatnotes of the laser diode, a stabilized laser and two microwave sources. The generation of harmonies of the microwave frequencies leads to frequency makers distant of 1 GHz from each in a typical 24 GHz range centered on each line (from 9 R(42)) The lines are Doppler resolved and the accuracy of measurement is better than 1 mk. In the recorded spectrum, there are also many lines of the well known band. A least square fit using the observed frequency of the two strongly coupled and band leads to new parameters for the state
SATURATION LASER SPECTROSCOPY OF OCS WITH STARK AND WAVEGUIDE LASER TECHNIQUES
Author Institution:Laser-Stark spectra with Lamb-Dip have been recorded for and . The laser was stabilised on the fluorescence Lamb-Dip (FWHY MHz). The same width was measured for the OCS absorption lines, for electrical fields up to 100 kv/cm. On the other hand, a few zero-field lines of OCS have been observed using a waveguide laser. The same saturation techniques and the frequency measurement by beating the wave guide beam and a reference laser beam yield to absolute frequency accuracy better than 100 kHz. The corresponding analysis of OCS is also presented
Intracavity CO/sub 2/ laser Stark spectrometer with almost-free propagation
A high performance Stark cell has been made of which the essential features are stainless steel plates, 2-mm spacing, electric fields up to 100 kV/cm, field uniformity better than 5*10/sup -5/. This Stark cell has been placed at a waist created inside a CO/sub 2/ laser cavity, so that the beam propagates almost freely inside the cell. Thus one obtains the high sensitivity of intracavity spectroscopy but preserves the quality and the stability of extracavity spectroscopy.Anglai
