Herding Effect based Attention for Personalized Time-Sync Video Recommendation
Time-sync comment (TSC) is a new form of user-interaction review associated
with real-time video contents, which contains a user's preferences for videos
and therefore well suited as the data source for video recommendations.
However, existing review-based recommendation methods ignore the
context-dependent (generated by user-interaction), real-time, and
time-sensitive properties of TSC data. To bridge the above gaps, in this paper,
we use video images and users' TSCs to design an Image-Text Fusion model with a
novel Herding Effect Attention mechanism (called ITF-HEA), which can predict
users' favorite videos with model-based collaborative filtering. Specifically,
in the HEA mechanism, we weight the context information based on the semantic
similarities and time intervals between each TSC and its context, thereby
considering influences of the herding effect in the model. Experiments show
that ITF-HEA is on average 3.78\% higher than the state-of-the-art method upon
F1-score in baselines.Comment: ACCEPTED for ORAL presentation at IEEE ICME 201
CircRTTN upregulates EPHA2 to aggravate the malignant process of melanoma via sponging miR-890
Background. Malignant melanoma is a kind of tumor derived from melanocytes, which has the characteristics of drug resistance and distant metastasis. Accumulating evidence has demonstrated that circular RNAs (circRNAs) are involved in the pathogenesis of melanoma. Our current study aimed to investigate the role and mechanism of circRTTN in melanoma progression. Methods. The levels of circRTTN, microRNA-890 (miR-890) and EPH receptor A2 (EPHA2) were examined via quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and Western blot. Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8), colony formation, 5-Ethynyl-2’-deoxyuridine (EdU) staining, flow cytometry, transwell and tube formation assays were conducted to estimate the effects of circRTTN on growth, apoptosis, migration, invasion and angiogenesis of melanoma cells. Western blot was used to measure related marker protein levels. The interaction between miR-890 and circRTTN or EPHA2 was predicted by bioinformatics analysis and verified by dual-luciferase reporter and RNA Immunoprecipitation (RIP) assays. Xenograft assay was used to assess the effect of circRTTN in vivo. Results. CircRTTN and EPHA2 levels were upregulated, while miR-890 was down-regulated in melanoma tissues and cells. CircRTTN knockdown restrained cell proliferation, migration, invasion and angiogenesis, but promoted cell apoptosis in vitro. CircRTTN was an effective molecular sponge for miR890, and negatively regulated miR-890 expression. The suppressive role of circRTTN knockdown on cell growth, metastasis and angiogenesis in vitro was abated by blocking miR-890. MiR-890 directly targeted EPHA2. MiR-890 overexpression elicited a similar antitumor role in melanoma cells, which was abrogated by overexpression of EPHA2. In addition circRTTN knowdown markedly attenuated xenograft tumor growth in vivo. Conclusion. Our findings demonstrated that circRTTN mediated melanoma progression via regulating the miR-890/ EPHA2 axis
A Search for Spectral Galaxy Pairs of Overlapping Galaxies based on Fuzzy Recognition
The Spectral Galaxy Pairs (SGPs) are defined as the composite galaxy spectra
which contain two independent redshift systems. These spectra are useful for
studying dust properties of the foreground galaxies. In this paper, a total of
165 spectra of SGPs are mined out from Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) Data
Release 9 (DR9) using the concept of membership degree from the fuzzy set
theory particularly defined to be suitable for fuzzily identifying emission
lines. The spectra and images of this sample are classified according to the
membership degree and their image features, respectively. Many of these 2nd
redshift systems are too small or too dim to select from the SDSS images alone,
making the sample a potentially unique source of information on dust effects in
low-luminosity or low-surface-brightness galaxies that are underrepresented in
morphological pair samples. The dust extinction of the objects with high
membership degree is also estimated by Balmer decrement. Additionally, analyses
for a series of spectroscopic observations of one SGP from 165 systems indicate
that a newly star-forming region of our Milky Way might occur.Comment: 16pages, 6figure
Duszność spowodowana gruźliczakami powstającymi w rdzeniu przedłużonym w czasie leczenia gruźliczego zapalenia opon mózgowo-rdzeniowych
Formation of tuberculoma is a rare response of neurotuberculosis in patients regularly and adequately treated with anti-tuberculous drugs. We report a 13-year-old girl with two tuberculomas which formed in the dorsal part of the medulla oblongata during chemotherapy for tuberculous meningitis. The tuberculomas were both removed via a suboccipital midline approach and were demonstrated by pathological findings but the girl died of cardiac arrest that was thought to be caused by postoperative medulla oblongata oedema. In combination with a literature review, we discuss the clinical features and treatment options of brainstem tuberculomas.
Continuous Acetone–Butanol–Ethanol (ABE) Fermentation with in Situ Solvent Recovery by Silicalite-1 Filled PDMS/PAN Composite Membrane
The pervaporation (PV) performance of a thin-film silicalite-1 filled PDMS/PAN composite membrane was investigated in the continuous acetone–butanol–ethanol (ABE) production by a fermentation–PV coupled process. Results showed that continuous removal of ABE from the broth at three different dilution rates greatly increased both the solvent productivity and the glucose utilization rate, in comparison to the control batch fermentation. The high solvent productivity reduced the acid accumulation in the broths because most acids were reassimilated by cells for ABE production. Therefore, a higher total solvent yield of 0.37 g/g was obtained in the fermentation–PV coupled process, with a highly concentrated condensate containing 89.11–160.00 g/L ABE. During 268 h of the fermentation–PV coupled process, the PV membrane showed a high ABE separation factor of more than 30 and a total flux of 486–710 g/m2h. Membrane fouling was negligible for the three different dilution rates. The solution-diffusion model, especially the mass transfer equation, was proved to be applicable to this coupled process.<br/
