Nonequilibrium brittle fracture propagation: Steady state, oscillations and intermittency
A minimal model is constructed for two-dimensional fracture propagation. The
heterogeneous process zone is presumed to suppress stress relaxation rate,
leading to non-quasistatic behavior. Using the Yoffe solution, I construct and
solve a dynamical equation for the tip stress. I discuss a generic tip velocity
response to local stress and find that noise-free propagation is either at
steady state or oscillatory, depending only on one material parameter. Noise
gives rise to intermittency and quasi-periodicity. The theory explains the
velocity oscillations and the complicated behavior seen in polymeric and
amorphous brittle materials. I suggest experimental verifications and new

Elastic forces that do no work and the dynamics of fast cracks
Elastic singularities such as crack tips, when in motion through a medium
that is itself vibrating, are subject to forces orthogonal to the direction of
motion and thus impossible to determine by energy considerations alone. This
fact is used to propose a universal scenario, in which three dimensionality is
essential, for the dynamic instability of fast cracks in thin brittle

Informational models and control algorithms models for separate functional modules of the pharmaceutical enterprises distribution and supply logistics management are considered in the article. The possibility of such modules management by means of ERP class integrated information systems is shown. Drug procurement management algorithms implemented with the help of ERP and based on the ABC/XYZ analysis methodology, algorithms and informational models for pharmaceutical companiesβ logistic system of inventory management in warehouses are proposed. Algorithms, mathematical and information models for the logistic control system of stocks in warehouses with medicinal preparations at pharmaceutical enterprises are proposed. The scheme of the organization of the current incoming control of medicinal preparations in the finished goods warehouse is considered. Functional models are presented in IDEF0 notation for describing management systems based on ERP in distribution and marketing logistics systems in pharmaceutical companies. Examples are given of constructing graphic IDEF0-models, for describing business processes in drug prediction systems (LS) and quality control of incoming products. INORGANIC COMPOSITES: LUMINOFORS IN LITHIUM-BORATE GLASSES FOR WHITE LIGHT-EMMITING DIODS
This paper describes a synthesis of luminescent composite based on lithium-borate glass and yttrium-aluminum garnet finely-divided powder doped with cerium. Glassβs chemical makeup was chosen, compositeβs fabrication technology was developed and luminophore-glass baking temperature conditions as well. The genes of nerve growth factor (NGF), brain neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and human neurotrophic factor 3 (NT-3) were cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli. Methods of purification and renaturation of the proneurotrophins were developed. The primary goal of the state program "Development of Pharmaceutical and Medical industry" for 2013-2020" is the creation of innovative Russian pharmaceutical and medical industry of international standard. According to forecasts the share of Russian pharmaceutical companies in the market is going to increase from 14 to 50%. In order to ensure a complex approach to problem solving in pharmaceutical industry it needs to develop new mechanisms to manage industry sectors, clusters and enterprises. One of the most effective forms of management in this case is the creation of logistic schemes for medicine delivery to the population. The article describes the requirements for medicine delivery. We provide the economic and statistical technique β based on ABC/VEN-analysis β for the identification of the medicine demand in a large health care facility. The article uncovers the specifics of formation of a decision-making support system in time and amount of order in the context of (s, Q)-policy.
