Research of topography of influence and classification of the requirements for uniform of passenger car attendants

The article investigates the theoretical foundations of the study of reliability indicators in order to identify priorities in development of efficient uniform for the passenger car attendants with predictable properties. Thus, functional and constructive design is carried out, taking into account the topography of influence by defining zones of influence on different parts of the garment, what enables development of variable constructive and functional solutions for the uniform in accordance with the quality requirements

Methodology of designing women`s clothing with decoration from different fabrics

The article presents the results of the development of a methodology for designing women's clothing considering the properties of textile materials. Current collections of women's clothing models offered by leading Fashion houses in recent seasons were analyzed in order to clarify the classification of clothing decoration and the classification of three-dimensional decoration of clothes (ruffles, gatherings, puffs, draperies, etc.) is developed. Also, the physical and mechanical properties of samples of dress fabrics of various raw material composition and weaving are studied, in particular thickness, surface density, drapeability, and rigidity. Using the photogrammetric method, the quality of production of the knot with gathering for different gathering coefficients is evaluated and recommendations on the selection of the gathering coefficient for the knots of garments depending on the physical and mechanical properties of fabrics are provided. It is experimentally proved that thickness and bending rigidity of fabric influence the value of the gathering coefficient in the design of women`s clothing. Also, recommendations on the selection of fabrics for the design of modern women`s dresses with decoration are provided

Multifunctional space of art-relaxation in an educational institution: design concept revision

The study focuses on the theoretical and practical aspects of multifunctional art-relaxation rooms in a learning environment. Such rooms become centers for solving several social problems, including overcoming stress not only among students but also among other vulnerable groups-combat veterans, retirees, and children. Implementing them in continuous practice becomes a relevant problem, especially with the consequences of the COVID-2019 pandemic. This study is based on a systematic approach and is interdisciplinary. The original methodology provides the analysis of different forms of relaxation space organizing in the historical context, and the formation of the main design standards for justifying the original concept of environment design. The practical result of the study is the multifunctional space of art-relaxation “Art-Tell-Iya,” which operates permanently at the Lutsk National Technical University (Lutsk, Ukraine). The classes of art relaxation and art therapy for restoring the mental state of ATO/JFO (Joint Forces Operation) veterans, classes for small groups of students, and activities of various artistic orientations are held in this space. The design space helps to improve the psychological state and form new life strategies for a person through art. The authors present their own experience in art-relaxation space designing, which is based on main design standards, such as multifunctionality, aesthetics, and imagery, as well as visual and communicative interactions. From the standpoint of the systematic approach, the art-relaxation space is implemented as a model of world perception and as a powerful visual communicative system aimed at improving a person’s psychological health. This study is an important step in the direction of solving the problem concerning the design of relaxation spaces in educational institutions for different visitors. It forms the base to conduct deeper research that is aimed at identifying connections between the design aspects and the efficiency indexes formation in the context of relaxation processes

The use of decorative trim in clothing collections of designers from around the world

The article is devoted to the study of the use of clothing decorative trim in the collections of designers from around the world. The analysis of women's clothing models has been carried out in the collections of designers from Europe, America, Asia, Australia, and Africa, presented in the Resort, Pre Fall, Spring/Summer, Fall/Winter seasons 2020/2021. The frequency of using the most common types of the decorative trim in designers' collections has been estimated, the use of embroidery in the models of collections has been analyzed according to the total number of collections and the number of collections with flat trim, the most common embroidery techniques used by designers have been identified (satin stitch, goldwork, whitework embroidery, Luneville embroidery, Richelieu, drawn-thread work, machine embroidery with the use of additional materials) as well as the trendy colors. It has been determined that the three-dimensional clothing decorative trim is relevant and will be popular for several more seasons in a row, as fashion is cyclical, but flat trim consolidates its position. The largest number of different embroidery types is used by designers from European countries, the smallest – by designers from Africa. The results of the research can be used by designers in the development of clothing collections with decoration and fashion retailers, as well as in the education of designers. Further research will be devoted to the analysis of other compositional and constructive features of clothing models in the collections of designers, namely, the definition of fashionable silhouettes, divisions, proportional ratios, colors

Current trends of the use of eco-materials in the design of light industry products

Доcлідження бaзувaлиcь нa cиcтемному aнaлізі еко-матеріалів, зaгaльній методології дизайну одягу та аксесуарів. На різних етапах дослідження використані методи системно-структурного аналізу та візуально-аналітичний метод. Доcліджені оcновні нaпpями еко-дизайну, розроблено класифікацію еко-матеріалів, визначено тенденції використання еко-матеріалів в дизайні сумок, проаналізовано напрями моди, розроблено колекцію сумок з коркового матеріалу. Викоpиcтaння еко-матеріалів в дизaйні виробів легкої промисловості дає можливість отримати нові естетичні влacтивоcті, тим caмим відкpивaючи нові можливоcті для pозвитку індуcтpії моди. Викоpиcтaння еко-мaтеpіaлів cпpияє pозpобці дизaйнеpaми новиx конcтpуктивниx пpийомів, cтвоpенню новітніx теxнологій в модній індуcтpії, дає можливість урізноманітнити xудожнє pішення коcтюмa і поcилити його виpaзність. Визначено закономірностей формування колекцій аксесуарів в еко-стилі, основні ознаки еко-стилю (колірна палітра, аксесуари, фурнітура). Пpaктичне знaчення полягaє в тому, що pозpоблено колекцію моделей сумок в еко-стилі з використанням коркового матеріалу за актуальними тенденціями моди.Исследования бaзировались нa cиcтемном aнaлизе эко-материалов, общей методологии дизайна одежды и аксессуаров. На разных этапах исследований использованы методы системно-структурного анализа и визуально-аналитический метод. Исследованы основные нaпpавления эко-дизайна, разработана классификация эко-материалов, определены тенденции использования эко-материалов в дизайне сумок, проанализированы направления моды, разработана коллекция сумок из пробкового материала. Использование эко-материалов в дизaйн изделий легкой промышленности позволяет получить новые эстетические свойства, тем caмим открывает новые возможности для pазвития индуcтpии моды, способствует разработке дизaйнеpaми новыx конcтpуктивныx пpиемов, созданию современных теxнологий в модной индуcтpии, дает возможность разнообразить художественное pешение коcтюмa и усилить его выpaзительность. Определены закономерностей формирования коллекций аксессуаров в эко-стиле, основные признаки эко-стиля (цветовая палитра, аксессуары, фурнитура). Пpaктическое знaчение заключается в том, что pазpаботана коллекция моделей сумок в эко-стиле с использованием пробкового материала в соответствии с актуальными тенденциями моды.Analysis of the basic directions of eco-design; development of classifications of eco-materials; determination of perspectives of their use in the design of the handbags. The research is based on systematic analysis of eco-materials in clothes and in handbags, as well as on general methodology of clothes and accessories design. The methods of system-structural analysis and visual-analytical method are used at different stages of the research. The basic principles of eco-design have been studied, the classification of eco-materials has been developed, the tendencies of using eco-materials in the design of handbags have been determined, the trends of fashion have been analyzed and the collection of handbags made of cork material has been created. The use of eco-materials in the design of light industry products makes it possible to obtain new aesthetic properties, thereby opening new opportunities for the development of the fashion industry. The use of eco-materials promotes for the development of new constructive techniques by the designers, for the creation of the latest technologies in fashion industry; it makes it possible to diversify the artistic solution of the costume and to improve its expressiveness. The regularities of formation of accessories collections in eco-style, as well as the basic hallmarks of style (color palette, accessories and furnishings) are determined. Определение изменения линейных размеров термостойких текстильных материалов

This article contains the results of experimental researches as to the impact of operational factors on the properties of heat-resistant textile materials, such as changes in linear dimensions due to repeated wash cycles. It was found that the selected materials retained their properties to the extend, specified by regulatory documents. It was determined the mathematical relation between changes in linear dimensions and number of wash cycles and made their comparative analysis in order to predict the behavior of special clothing materials.В статті приведені результати експериментальних досліджень впливу експлуатаційних чинників на властивості термостійких текстильних матеріалів, а саме зміни лінійних розмірів внаслідок багаторазових циклів прання. Встановлено, що обрані матеріали зберігають свої властивості в регламентованих нормативними документами межах. Встановлено математичну залежність зміни лінійних розмірів від кількості циклів прання та проведено їх порівняльний аналіз з метою прогнозування поведінки матеріалів спеціального одягу.В статье приведены результаты экспериментальных исследований влияния эксплуатационных факторов на свойства термостойких текстильных материалов, а именно изменения линейных размеров в результате многократных циклов стирки. Установлено, что выбранные материалы сохраняют свои свойства в регламентированных нормативными документами пределах. Установлено математическую зависимость изменения линейных размеров от количества циклов стирки и проведен их сравнительный анализ с целью прогнозирования поведения материалов специальной одежды
