LET’S VACATION IN JAPAN! A STUDY OF INDONESIAN IMAGES OF JAPAN THROUGH TOURISM
The number of outbound Indonesian travelers is rapidly increasing, especially in travel to long-haul destinations. For these travelers, Japan is considered a favorite and trendy destination. This is due not only to Indonesia’s own push factors like its stable economy, but also structural changes in Japan. In 2011, the total number of foreign travelers to Japan dropped sharply after the horrible news of an earthquake and tsunami in the Tohoku area and the serious atomic power plant accident that followed in Fukushima. After these catastrophic disasters, the Japanese government intensely promoted inbound tourism to recover its damaged economy; this included waving visa requirements for short-term stays for visitors from countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The Japan Tourism Agency and the Japan National Tourism Organization, as well as travel agents and aviation companies, are important actors in promoting inbound tourism to Japan. As a result, compared with 2011, the number of Indonesian travelers in 2017 increased by approximately 5.7 times. Along with travelers’ personal decisions, the roles of government bodies and private companies are very important for understanding the recent tourism dynamics. Travelers do not always need a correct and holistic understanding of the culture, but something “authentic,” “unique,” or “exotic” for them to share with friends and family. This paper also shows how Indonesian travelers to Japan reflectively reconstruct and disseminate stereotypical images of the country through various channels including video sharing services like YouTube, or social network services like Instagram and Facebook. Although biased and limited, the accumulation and dissemination of Indonesians’ personal experiences are now changing their images of Japan from monotonous to empirical and concrete.

DeepSaucer: Unified Environment for Verifying Deep Neural Networks
In recent years, a number of methods for verifying DNNs have been developed.
Because the approaches of the methods differ and have their own limitations, we
think that a number of verification methods should be applied to a developed
DNN. To apply a number of methods to the DNN, it is necessary to translate
either the implementation of the DNN or the verification method so that one
runs in the same environment as the other. Since those translations are
time-consuming, a utility tool, named DeepSaucer, which helps to retain and
reuse implementations of DNNs, verification methods, and their environments, is
proposed. In DeepSaucer, code snippets of loading DNNs, running verification
methods, and creating their environments are retained and reused as software
assets in order to reduce cost of verifying DNNs. The feasibility of DeepSaucer
is confirmed by implementing it on the basis of Anaconda, which provides
virtual environment for loading a DNN and running a verification method. In
addition, the effectiveness of DeepSaucer is demonstrated by usecase examples
Thermal Conductivity in the Bose-Einstein Condensed State of Triplons in the Bond-Alternating Spin-Chain System Pb2V3O9
In order to clarify the origin of the enhancement of the thermal conductivity
in the Bose-Einstein Condensed (BEC) state of field-induced triplons, we have
measured the thermal conductivity along the [101] direction parallel to
spin-chains, , and perpendicular to spin-chains,
, of the S=1/2 bond-alternating spin-chain system Pb2V3O9
in magnetic fields up to 14 T. With increasing field at 3 K, it has been found
that both and are suppressed in the
gapped normal state in low fields. In the BEC state of field-induced triplons
in high fields, on the other hand, is enhanced with
increasing field, while is suppressed. That is, the
thermal conductivity along the direction, where the magnetic interaction is
strong, is markedly enhanced in the BEC state. Accordingly, our results suggest
that the enhancement of in the BEC state is caused by the
enhancement of the thermal conductivity due to triplons on the basis of the
two-fluid model, as in the case of the superfluid state of liquid 4He.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figure

Reduction of Estimation Time for Disturbance Level Using Majority Decision Considering with Current and Magnetic Current Source
The maximum value of radiated emission must be measured at a distance of 10m for the CISPR publishes. However, the test facilities are too expensive to measure at a distance of 10m. Therefore, the method has been studied to estimate radiated emissions at a distance of 10m from the measured data at a distance of 3 m. The conventional estimation method considered with three components of current vectors and this need much estimation time. In this paper, we propose the estimation method considering with current and magnetic- current sources. The equipment can be modelled by one component of the current vectors using both current and magnetic-current source, and this method can reduce the estimation time because the estimation parameters reduces from nine to five. The electric field radiated from the imitated equipment was estimated by using numerical calculation value. The results indicated that the accuracy of proposed method was almost equal to conventional method for horizontal polarization, and the estimation time decreased two thirds.2009 International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC\u2709/Kyoto), July 20-24, 2009, Kyoto International Conference Center, Kyoto, Japa
Molecular Mechanism Underlying the Suppression of CPB2 Expression Caused by Persistent Hepatitis C Virus RNA Replication
The mechanisms of hepatitis C virus (HCV)-associated hepatocarcinogenesis and disease progression are unclear. We previously observed that the expression level of carboxypeptidase B2 (CPB2) gene was remarkably suppressed by persistent HCV RNA replication in human hepatoma cell line Li23-derived cells. The results of the present study demonstrated that the CPB2 expression in patients with chronic hepatitis C was inversely correlated with several risk factors of hepatic fibrosis or steatosis, although ectopic CPB2 expression did not suppress the expression of fibrogenic or lipogenic genes. The suppressed CPB2 expression was restored by treatment with 5-azacytidine. To clarify the mechanism underlying this phenomenon, we analyzed the CPB2 promoter, and the results revealed that (1) hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 (HNF1), especially HNF1α, was essential for the CPB2 promoter, and (2) CPB2 promoter was not methylated by persistent HCV RNA replication. The expression levels of HNF1α and HNF1β were also not changed by persistent HCV RNA replication. These results suggest the existence of 5-azacytidine-inducible or -reducible unknown factor(s) that can control the CPB2 expression. To evaluate this idea we performed a microarray analysis, and several gene candidates corresponding to the suggested factor(s) were identified
Charmed meson spectra and decay constants with one-loop improved relativistic heavy quark action
We calculate charmed meson spectra and decay constants in lattice QCD
employing one-loop improved heavy quark action and axial-vector
currents. In quenched simulations at fm with the plaquette gauge
action as well as a renormalization-group improved one, it is shown that the
deviation from the continuum dispersion relation and the violation of
space-time symmetry for the pseudoscalar meson decay constants are
substantially reduced, once the improvement is applied. Preliminary
results with two flavors of dynamical quarks are also presented.Comment: 3 pages, 4 figure, talk presented at Lattice2004(heavy), Fermilab,
