Metabolic studies with 14C-hydroxyproline in osteopathies of chronic renal failure
In a group of 15 normal subjects and 17 patients with chronic renal failure and secondary hyperparathyroidism the plasma and urinary levels of hydroxyproline were determined by using the method of BERGMAN and LOXLEY. In the urine, higher amounts of the iminoacid were found in normals than in patients. In the plasma the patients retained higher amounts of the iminoacid than do normal subjects. © 1970
DOXORUBICIN CARDIOTOXICITY DETECTED BY IN-111 MYOSIN-SPECIFIC IMAGING
A patient with primary hepatoma, treated with doxorubicin and presenting
with atypical electrocardiographic findings, was investigated with
myosin-specific monoclonal antibody radiolabelled with indium-111.
Despite a normal ejection fraction, myosin-specific scintigraphy was
positive, indicating doxorubicin cardiotoxicity
