Trends and uptake of new formulations of controlled-release oxycodone in Canada
Purpose: This study investigated the impact of changing availability of tamperâdeterrent and nonâtamperâdeterrent oxycodone on prescribing patterns of controlledârelease oxycodone across Canada. Methods: We conducted a populationâbased, serial crossâsectional study of controlledârelease oxycodone dispensing from community pharmacies across Canada between October 2007 and April 2016. We calculated rates of dispensing (tablets per 100 population) and reported the relative market share of generic nonâtamperâdeterrent controlledârelease oxycodone. All analyses were reported nationally and stratified by province. Results: After the introduction of a tamperâdeterrent formulation, the national rate of controlledârelease oxycodone dispensing fell by 44.6% (from 26.4 to 14.6 tablets per 100 population from February 2012 to April 2016). Between December 2012 and July 2013, there was moderate uptake of generic nonâtamperâdeterrent controlledârelease oxycodone (968 452 tablets; 16.0% in July 2013), which appeared to have little impact on the overall rate of controlledârelease oxycodone dispensing in Canada. However, the uptake of generic nonâtamperâdeterrent oxycodone varied considerably by province. By April 2016, 55.0% of all controlledârelease oxycodone tablets dispensed in Quebec were for the generic formulation. [âŠ

Factors Influencing Consumerâs Behavioural Intention towards the Adoption of Mobile Payment in Kuala Lumpur
Purpose: The purpose of the research is to investigate the connection between the adoption of digital payments in Kuala Lumpur and the system's credibility in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The another goal of this study is to investigate the connection between social impact and mobile payment adoption in Kuala Lumpur. In Kuala Lumpur, study the relationship between effort expectation and mobile payment adoption. To determine the association between performance expectation and mobile payment adoption in KL.
Â
Theoretical framework: One of the most well-known study models on customer adoption of new technological systems highlights how particular characteristics effect customer adoption. The idea takes into account things like social influences, credibility requirements, effort expectations, and performance requirements.
Â
Design/methodology/approach: This is descriptive based study. In this research paper to accurately predict consumer behavioral intention to accept mobile payment in Kuala Lumpur, the study selects 100 students representative of the target population using probability-based random sampling.
Â
Findings: Inability to collect information from all Malaysians is the primary justification for using a random sample. Mobile payment acceptance has a high link with expected effort, trustworthiness, and performance, demonstrating that these factors impact adoption. Because the majority of people consider a rapid and dependable mobile payment system to be essential.
Â
Conclusion: Mobile payments are rapid. Their relocation is regular practice. Customers can complete the majority of transactions by just pressing their card to the screen
Monitoring and Assessing the Use of External Quality Review Organizations to Improve Services for Young Children: A Toolkit for State Medicaid Agencies
Federal regulations encourage state Medicaid agencies to use external quality review organizations (EQROs) to help implement strategies for assessing and improving the quality of medical services provided to beneficiaries enrolled in managed care plans. However, many states have not availed themselves of this opportunity and may lack guidance on how to do so. This report provides agencies with specifications for developing a scope of work that will lead to conceptually and methodologically sound studies of the quality of preventive and developmental services for young children enrolled in Medicaid. Among other recommendations, the authors note that states may require EQROs to conduct activities like determining compliance with federal Medicaid managed care regulations, measuring performance in terms of preventive and developmental services; and recommending and evaluating performance improvement projects. Creating an infrastructure to monitor the quality of care will have a lasting impact on the health of children, their families, and society

Reporting Sexual Assault Victimizations to Law Enforcement
As part of a larger study examining the characteristics of sexual assault victimizations in Alaska as observed and recorded by sexual assault nurse examiners, 101 patients in Bethel, Fairbanks, Kodiak, Kotzebue, Nome, and Soldotna provided information about their decision to report their victimization to law enforcement. The report documents who these patients consulted prior to reporting, the actions and reactions that patients received from others, how patients initially attributed blame, and how concerned patients initially were about disbelief and negative reactions from others. The report also examines whether patients had begun to take control over the recovery process, the amount of time elapsed from assault to examination, and what factors predict the amount of time elapsed from assault to examination.National Institute of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.
