Abstract: The use of inquiry approach is expected to enhance students' motivation in the learning process so that the motivation was not the case of saturation, thus students will be involved physically, emotionally and intellectually, which in turn is expected to change the learning concepts taught by teachers can be understood by students. This study uses kuaitatif approach to the design of this study will be conducted by two rounds. The study design includes preliminary studies, planning, action, observation and reflection. Preliminary studies conducted preliminary observations in class III Mempawah SDN 13 East to obtain early reflections. Planning stage measures implemented by designing procedures, and determine the form of action observation. Implementation phase is done collaboratively between researchers and teachers. Reflection is done at the end of each lesson and meeting at each cycle. Keywords: Motivation, Inquiry Approach, IPA

This research investigated of image tracking and edge detection for motorcycle in various lighting and weather conditions. The capability in different resolution also evaluated. The developed framework showed great accuracy in the segmentation of plate number from motorcycle image in daylight condition as compared to rainy daylight and night condition. A benchmark study was conducted to identify fast processing time in the system. MATLAB-Simulink and Xilinx System Generator prototyping environment were selected for designing the detection system. The detection system was implemented on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA/hardware) and MATLAB (software). Images were analyzed by comparing the accuracy of bounding box and edges which is displayed in different conditions, different threshold level, different resolutions and different distances. The output image is clear with pixel 1024 x768 in daylight, rainy and night. The performance of image output is drop and blur while used low pixel resolutions such as 640 x 480, 720 x 480 and 800 x 600. Motorcycle plate number is recognized in daylight condition at 5.0 meter. The analysis showed daylight is the best situation in detecting the motorcycle image followed by rainy daylight condition and night. Analysis with Histogram level and contrast stretching method showed performance in hardware is improved rather than software. This project can be applied to improve the visual driver support system in the future

Carbon nanofibers catalyzed by iron oxide extracted from mill scale waste for microwave absorbing materials

Currently a wide range of materials are used for the design and development of microwave absorbing materials or radar absorbing materials (RAM). However, none of the materials use low-cost mill scale as a potential absorbing material. Materials from steel waste (mill scale) have been introduced in order to be used as low-cost filler. As-grown carbon nanofibers (CNF) from low-cost-mill scale with different milling time (4, 20, 40 h) was synthesized using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method. As-grown CNF with lightweight characteristics were used as fillers showed a significant enhancement of reflection loss which can reaching -26 dB at 10.5 GHz. As the thickness increased from 1 mm to 3 mm, the reflection loss peak shifted towards lower frequency. Results showed that mill scale waste having nanometer starting particle size which was used as catalyst to grow CNF could enhanced the absorption capability

The present invention generally relate to a portable automated fruit grading apparatus (100) that grades a fruit based on the weight and length of the fruit. The apparatus (100) includes a housing (105) and the housing (105) encloses a weight tray (115), a length measurement unit to measure a length and a force value depending upon weight of the fruit, a smart processing system (800), a memory card slot (107) is configured to accommodate a removable non-volatile memory card (910) to store the data generated by the smart processing system (800), a visual display unit (120) and at least one input device is mounted on the frontal side of the housing (105). The generated data is stored in the removable non-volatile memory card (910) and the data is displayed on the visual display unit (120)
