    Avaliação das vasculopatias não ateroscleróticas por ecografia-doppler

    Although uncommon, the non atherosclerotic vasculopathies involve younger patients when compared with atherosclerotic disease. Cerebral angiography is the gold standard diagnostic method due to its high sensibility, but its specificity is low mainly when compared to imaging evaluation of the arterial wall with carotid and vertebral ultrasound-doppler. Carotid and vertebral ultrasound-doppler, as a non-invasive exam, it is extremely useful, not only in the diagnosis, but also in the monitoring of these patients - young patients who need a regular and extended evaluation.Apesar de serem um grupo de doenças pouco comum, as vasculopatias não ateroscleróticas envolvem doentes mais novos, quando comparados com o grupo da doença aterosclerótica. A angiografia de substração digital é o método diagnóstico de excelência da doença arterial devido à sua alta sendibilidade, mas a sua especificidade é baixa quando comparada à avaliação imagiológica da parede arterial por eco-doppler carotídeo e vertebral. O eco-doppler carotídeo e vertebral, como meio complementar de diagnóstico não invasivo, tem uma grande utilidade não só no diagnóstico, mas também na monitorização periódica que este grupo de jovens doentes necessita.  &nbsp

    The mobility of professors in performing distance education activities

    The article investigates the strategies used by Distance Education (DE) tutors to mobilize students in carrying out the activities available in the Virtual Learning Environment. To reflect on the mobility of tutors, learning theories outlined for Distance Education were revisited. The methodology consisted of a study applied at a university in southern Brazil. As a data collection instrument, a questionnaire was developed and applied to a group of tutor professors who work in DE. The testimonies obtained were analyzed to show the strategies used to mobilize students in the perspective of meaningful learning. The analysis showed that the terms mobilization and motivation are used interchangeably; the dimensions of meaningful learning (active, authentic, cooperation, constructive and intentional) are used to mobilize students, but not all dimensions have been captured in digital reports. This can be indicative of prioritizing one dimension over another. It was concluded that further investigations should be carried out to demystify the tutor\u27s strategies regarding learning theories

    The experiment was carried out at a greenhouse of Plant Science Department of the Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido (UFERSA), Mossoró-RN, in the period of of 2008, with the objective of determing the best treatment with scarlet starglory Calotropis procera incorporated to with soil on rocket performance cv. Cultivated. A completely randomized desing with six treatments and four replications. The treatments consist of: T1 (45 days incorporated); T2 (30 days incorporated); T3 (15 days incorporated); T4 (0 days incorporated); T5 (336g vaso-1bovine manure); T6 (Control no fertilized soil). The evaluated traits were: plant height, number of leaves per pot, dry mass and yield of grains. The time of decomposition of 0 and 15 days was what provided the greatest increases in plant height, yield mass and dry, number of leaves per pot respective.O experimento foi conduzido na casa de vegetação do Departamento de Ciências Vegetais da Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido (UFERSA), Mossoró-RN, no período de agosto a outubro de 2008, com o objetivo de avaliar as quantidades de flor-de-seda em diferentes tempos de decomposição no desempenho agroeconômico de rúcula cv. Cultivada. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi inteiramente casualizados, com seis tratamentos e quatro repetições. Os tratamentos foram representados por: T1 (flor-de-seda incorporada aos 45 dias), T2 (flor-de-seda incorporado aos 30 dias); T3 (flor-de-seda incorporado aos 15 dias seca); T4 (flor-de-seda incorporado ao 0 dias); T5 (336g/vaso de esterco bovino) e T6 (Solo nú). As características avaliadas foram: altura da planta (cm), número de folhas por parcela, massa da matéria verde (g) e massa da matéria seca (g) por parcela. O tempo de decomposição de 0 e 15 dias foi o que proporcionou os maiores incrementos em altura de plantas, rendimentos de massa seca, verde e número de folhas respectivamente.El experimento fue conducido en la casa de vegetación del Departamento de Ciencias Vegetales de la Universidad Federal Rural del Semi-Árido (UFERSA), Mossoró-RN, en el periodo de agosto a octubre de 2008, con el objetivo de evaluar las cantidades de flor-de-seda en diferentes tiempos de decomposición en el desempeño agroeconômico de rucula cv. Cultivada. El delineamento experimental utilizado fue enteramente casualizados, con seis tratamientos y cuatro repeticiones. Los tratamientos fueron representados por: T1 (flor-de-seda incorporada a los 45 días), T2 (flor-de-seda incorporado a los 30 días); T3 (flor-de-seda incorporado a los 15 días sequía); T4 (flor-de-seda incorporado al 0 días); T5 (336g/florero de estiércol vacuno) y T6 (Suelo nú). Las características evaluadas fueron: altura de la planta (cm), número de hojas por parte, masa de la materia verde (g) y masa de la materia seca (g) por parte.     Aiming to get equations that through linear dimensional parameters of the leaves, allowing the estimation of leaf area of jujube tree, the relations between the real leaf area and dimensional parameters of the leaf limbus was examined, as the length along the Main nervure (C) and the maximum width (L), perpendicular to the main nervure. The simple linear equations, and polynomial powers obtained can be used to estimate leaf area. From the practical point of view, it is suggested to opt for the simple linear equation involving the product C x L, considering the linear coefficient equal to zero, which showed the smallest Sum of Squares of residue. Thus, the estimate of leaf area of jujube tree can be made by the formula AF = 0.7931 x (C x L), which equates to take, 79.31% of the product between the length along the main nervure and the maximum width, with a correlation coefficient of 0.9937.Com o objetivo de obter equações que, através de parâmetros lineares dimensionais das folhas, permitisse a estimativa da área foliar de juazeiro, estudaram-se relações entre a área foliar real e parâmetros dimensionais do limbo foliar, como o comprimento ao longo da nervura principal (C) e a largura máxima (L), perpendicular à nervura principal. As equações lineares simples, polinomiais e potencias obtida podem ser usadas para estimação da área foliar. Do ponto de vista prático, sugere-se optar pela equação linear simples envolvendo o produto C x L, considerando o coeficiente linear igual a zero, a qual apresentou a menor Soma de Quadrados do Resíduo. Desse modo, a estimativa da área foliar de juazeiro pode ser feita pela fórmula AF = 0,7931 x (C x L), que equivale a tomar, 79,31% do produto entre o comprimento ao longo da nervura principal e a largura máxima, com um coeficiente de correlação de 0,9937

    The use of spontaneous species as green manure en the rocket production has been produce satisfactory results. The experiment was carried out at a greenhouse of Plant Science Department of the Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido (UFERSA), Mossoró-RN, in the period of 2008, with the objective of determing of different decomposition times of malva veludo rocket production. A completely randomized desings with six treatments and four replications. The treatments consist of: (7 days incorporated), T2 (incorporated 14 days); T3 (incorporated 21 days); T4 (incorporated 28 days); T5 (incorporated 35 days); T6 (fertilized soil). The evaluated traits were: plant height, number of leaves per pot, dry mass and yield. The time of decomposition of 14 days was what provided the best rocket production

    An experiment was carried out at a greenhouse of Plant Science Department of the Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido (UFERSA), Mossoró-RN, in the period of May to June of 2006, with the evaluate the agronomic performance of beans mungo in function of their times of decomposition of scarlet starglory incorporated. A completely randomized desing with six treatments and five replications. The treatments consist of: T1 - 130g pot-1 of scarlet starglory in green base fresh with twenty-eight days incorporated; T2 -130g pot-1 of scarlet starglory in green base fresh with twenty one days incorporated; T3 - 130g pot-1 of scarlet starglory in green base fresh with fourteen days incorporated; T4 - 130g pot-1 of scarlet starglory in green base fresh with seven days incorporated; T5 - 130g pot-1 of scarlet starglory in green base fresh with zero days incorporated; T6 - Control (no Fertilized soil). The beans mungo cultivar planted was green gold. The evaluated traits were: plant height, dry mass and yield of grains. All the times traits were significantly affected by the amounts of scarlet starglory incorporated. Height mean value for plant height, dry mass and yield of grains were obtained in the amount of scarlet starglory incorporated of 28 days

Folha Larga. A completely randomized desing with six treatments and four replications. The treatment consist of: T1 - 19g pot-1 of scarlet starglory in green base plus; T2 - 28g pot-1 of scarlet starglory in green base plus; T3 - 37g pot-1 of scarlet starglory in green base; T4 - 46g pot-1 of scarlet starglory in green base; T5 - 55g pot-1 of scarlet starglory in green base; T6 - Fertilization with NPK at the recommended dose for the crop and. The rocket cultivar grown was Folha Larga. The evaluated traits were: plant height, number of leaves per pot, shoo fresh and dry mass. All the evaluated traits were significantly affected by the amounts of scarlet starglory incorporated. Height mean value for plant height, shoo fresh, dry mass and number of leaves were obtained in the amount of scarlet starglory incorporated of 19 g pot-1
