The volatile and unbalanced global demand for ginger makes it difficult for Indonesia to realize the decline and rise in exports. An analysis of export relations among between China, India, the Netherlands, and Indonesia is indispensable as these countries are the main exporters of ginger worldwide. Therefore, this ginger-exporting study aims to analyze the relationship between ginger exporting countries Indonesia, China, India, and the Netherlands from January 2013 to December 2017. Investigate the shock effect of increasing Chinese, Indian, and the Netherlands ginger exports on Indonesian ginger exports from January 2018 to December 2024. Explore the effect of changes in ginger exports in the four countries from 2018 to 2024. Analysis of relationships and influences over the next 6 years from 2018-2024 was performed using a time-series timeseries in the form of ginger export data from Indonesia, China, India, and the Netherlands for the 2013-2017. The analysis method used VAR (VECM), while the data were processed using Microsoft Excel 2010 and EViews 10 applications. The results showed a relationship between the four4 countries in the long term, significantly affecting the increase and decrease ginger exports in Indonesia, the Netherlands, and India. Between the 2018-2024, Indonesia's ginger exports will increase by 92%, followed by the Netherlands 7%, China 0.2%, and India 0.8%. For the China, ginger exports will increase 80% followed by Indonesia 4%, India 5%, and the Netherlands 11%. Meanwhile, for Indian ginger, an increase in exports will be dominated by India at 68%, Indonesia 20%, China 6%, and the Netherlands 6%. As for the Netherlands ginger exports, there will be an increase dominated by Indonesia at 73%, China 1%, India 5%, and the Netherlands 21%

Indonesia poultry consumption has increased year by year, with the average positive growth rate of 4.6%. This situation can be a chance for both small and large scales of poultry farmers, considering that poultry consumption is increasing every year. The rate of poultry production in Gunung Sindur was correlated with the amount of the existing poultry farms. Romli Farm was a small scale poultry farm in Gunung Sindur, Bogor. This poultry farm, with no partnership, could independently survive amongst the many other existing farms. However, although the opportunities were wide open, this business was not always viable for the farmers because many of small-scale farmers could not be able either to increase the income or to carry on the business. This research aimed to study the income, financial feasibility (NPV, IRR, Net B/C Ratio, and PP), the BEP of Selling Price, and the BEP of Product in Romli Farm

The catfish is a fish that is widely cultivated and consumed in Indonesia. The Catfish growth depand on by the availability of food and water quality. EM4 and EM10 are an example of liquid biofertilizer. The addition of EM4 in the fish pond can help the growth of the fish and maintain of the water quality. While the test of EM10 has not been done on fishery fields. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of EM10 fertilizers on of sangkuriang catfish (Clarias gariepinus Var. sangkuriang) growth and water quality. This research was conducted in February-March 2014. Research using completely randomized design with 7 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments tested were control (A), EM4 10 ml (B), EM4 20 ml (C), EM4 30 ml (D), EM10 10 ml (E), EM10 20 ml (F), and EM10 30 ml (G ). Analysis of data were using ANOVA followed by Duncan test if there is a real effect (ᾱ = 0.05). EM10 fertilizers at concentration of 20 ml could affect to the specific growth rate on catfish in 7 days maintenance, the concentration of 10 ml at 14 days of villa maintenance and the concentration of 30 ml at 28 days of maintenance. EM10 fertilizers can affect the weight growth of catfish. Fertilizer EM10 can maintain the temperature of the water

This research is aimed to determine the effect of growing media composition, the addition different concentration of EM10 fertilizer, and interaction between the composition of the growing media with different concentration of EM10 fertilizer on Zea mays growth and productivity. This research was conducted in Home Composting of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta from June until October 2013. This study used Random Grouped for Factorial Design 2 x 5 wth 3 repetitions. First factor was plant media dose (M), consist of two extents, M1 (compost:soil = 1:1) and M2 (compost:soil = 1:2). The second factor was fertilizer concentration (D), consist of five extents, DO (no fertilizer),D1 (Urea: 0,9 g, SP-36: 0,9 g, KCl: 0,45 g), D2 (10 ml EM10), D3 (15 ml EM10), and D4 (20 ml EM10). The obtained data was analyzed using Analysis of Varians(ANOVA) and Duncan test when there is a significant difference..The result showed plant media (M2) with ratio composition of compost and soil was 1:2 could increase the stem diameter at harvest time. 20 ml concentration of EM10 could increase the stem diameter’s growth (2.29 mm) at harvest time, similarly 15 ml EM10 could increase the cob’s productivity (1.66 cobs). The interaction of composition plant media and fertilizer concentration of EM10 did not influence corn’s growth and productivity

Does attending seminars affect technical efficiency of white shrimp (Litopenaeusvannamei) aquaculture?

Measuring technical efficiency and examining the factors affecting technical inefficiency of brackish water white shrimp aquaculture in Malaysia are the objectives of the study. This study applies a parametric approach (stochastic production function, SPF) and a non-parametric approach (data envelopment analysis, DEA) to measure technical efficiency. The estimated average technical efficiencies of shrimp farms are 54.7 % (SPF) and 43.3 % (DEA). Labour, feed and fry are the three major inputs used and are also the independent variables applied in the models. Elasticities of labour, feed and fry are found to be -1.650, 0.686 and 1.52, respectively. These data show that excessive labour was hired and that feed used and fry stocked are deficient. Stochastic inefficiency model and to bit regression are the two approaches applied to measure the factors affecting technical inefficiency. The variable of “seminar attended” is the consistent core factor, which significantly and negatively affects technical inefficiency. This means that human resource development is playing a vital role to achieve a significant measurable and sustainable impact in Malaysian shrimp aquaculture

The role of extension services in the development of agricultural practices is believed to have more significant impact in influencing the adoption of modern technology. This study identifies factors affecting the effectiveness of extension agent services on participants’ adoption of modern stingless beekeeping hives. A total of 117 respondents were interviewed with structured questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis and regression analysis were employed. The survey revealed that 78 out of 117 beekeepers had adopted modern hives. Of this, 66 were men and 12 were women, with the majority being full-time operators. The factor analysis identified four factors influencing the effectiveness of extension services in the adoption of modern hives, namely guidance and encouragement from extension agent, education, training provided and outcome. However, only education and training provided by extension agents were significantly positive in influencing the effectiveness of extension services. This study suggests that capacity-building and enhancement of extension agents and services through ongoing programs seem to be the most important strategies to ensure that beekeepers understand and acquire knowledge about the advantage of adopting modern hives
