Non-affine heterogeneities and droplet fluctuations in an equilibrium crystalline solid
We show, using molecular dynamics simulations, that a two-dimensional
Lennard-Jones solid is subject to droplet fluctuations characterized by {\em
non-affine} deviations from local crystallinity. The fraction of particles in
these droplets increases as the mean density of the solid decreases and
approaches % of the total number in the vicinity of the fluid-solid
phase boundary. We monitor the geometry, local equation of state, density
correlations and van Hove functions of these droplets and show that some of
these droplets are fluid-like and compact, while some are glassy and
string-like. We provide evidence that these non-affine heterogeneities should
be interpreted as being droplet fluctuations from nearby, metastable minima.Comment: Majorly revised and elaborated with larger figure
Fiscal consolidation with high growth: A policy simulation model for India.
In this paper a fiscal consolidation program for India has been presented based on a policy simulation model that enables us to examine the macroeconomic implications of alternative fiscal strategies, given certain assumptions about other macro policy choices and relevant exogenous factors. The model is then used to estimate the outcomes resulting from a possible strategy of fiscal consolidation in the base case. The exercise shows that it is possible to have fiscal consolidation while at the same time maintaining high GDP growth of around 8 percent or so. The strategy is to gradually bring down the revenue deficit to zero by 2014-15, while allowing a combined fiscal deficit for centre plus states of about 6 percent of GDP. This provides the space for substantial government capital expenditure, which translates to a significant public investment program. This in turn leads to high overall investment directly and indirectly, via the crowding in effect on private investment, which drives the high GDP growth. The exercise has also tested the robustness of this strategy under two alternative scenarios of higher and lower advanced country growth compared to the base case.Macroeconomic modelling, Policy simulation, Fiscal policy, India

Single-file diffusion and kinetics of template assisted assembly of colloids
We report computer simulation studies of the kinetics of ordering of a two
dimensional system of particles on a template with a one dimensional periodic
pattern. In equilibrium one obtains a re-entrant liquid-solid-liquid phase
transition as the strength of the substrate potential is varied. We show that
domains of crystalline order grow as , with with a
possible cross-over to at late times. We argue that the
law originates from {\em single-file} motion and annihilation of defect pairs

Unveilling Chaos in Particle Motion: Analyzing the Impact of Horizon in Gravity
This article is devoted to investigate the effects of theory in the
dynamics of a massless particle near the horizon of a static spherically
symmetric (SSS) black hole. Deriving the equations of motion within
gravitational theories, novel solutions for charged and neutral black holes are
obtained, introducing a dimensional parameter in .
Departing from General Relativity, these solutions showcase unique properties
reliant on the dynamics of Ricci scalar. Analysis shows that chaos manifests
within a specific energy range, with playing a crucial role. The study
underscores the general applicability of the spherically symmetric metric,
revealing insights into particle dynamics near black hole horizons. Despite an
initially integrable nature, the introduction of harmonic perturbation leads to
chaos, aligning with the Kolmogorov-Arnold-Moser theory. This research
contributes to a nuanced understanding of black hole dynamics, emphasizing the

The olfactory mucosa of river catfish, Eutropiichthys vacha (Hamilton, 1822): Histochemical studies
Miscellany in histochemical peculiarity of the olfactory mucosa was studied for localization of axons, mucopolysaccharides, glycogen, protein and lipid in schilbid catfish, Eutropiichthys vacha (Hamilton, 1822). Silver deposition was detected in the abundance of receptor cells in the olfactosensory epithelium and well as marked in the knob and dendrite process of primary receptor cells. The mucous cells with various stages of maturity containing different degrees of mucopolysaccharides were identified by employing the Periodic Acid Schiff's (PAS) reaction in combination with Alcian Blue (AB) test. This combined test imparted purple colour due to PAS for neutral mucin and blue colour for AB reaction due to the presence of acid mucin exclusively. The results of Best’s carmine test indicated considerable amount of glycogen present in the receptor cells, basal cells and supporting cells in the olfactory mucosa. Basic protein and bound lipid were ascertained in the various cells of the epithelial lining and in blood cells of the central core were discussed with behavioural activities of the fish interested

The discontinuation or a break in the continuity of the covering epithelium of skin or mucous membrane is called as ulcer. The healing of the ulcer is a physiological response of the body. When a person does not maintain the proper treatment regimen, hygiene, along with indulgence of Ahita Ahara, Ahita Vihara and contaminated with various micro-organisms and developed a Dusta Vrana or non healing ulcer. Sushruta has described six types of Dusta Vrana. Bed sore can be co-related with Dusta Vrana. A single case of Dusta Vrana (bed sore) was successfully treated with local application of Yastimadhu Siddha Taila in Govt. Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Guwahati. Thus it has been observed that Yastimadhu Siddha Taila is a very effective drug in the management of Dusta Vrana
